The Son of Aphrodite

Description

Everyone falls in love.

Everyone.

You can never feel th real feeling of hurt, unless you've been heartbroken through love.

Even the god of the dead has fallen in love once or twice.

So how come his own child can't admit to be doing the same?

Foreword

"Father, are you sure?"

Hades looked at his daughter. Actually looked at her, for the first time since she was born. Even though he had lied to everyone else, even his brothers -especially his brothers- he was sure she was the one in the prophecy. She had been the only one he had bore the past century. There was certainly no one else it could be.

Though nobody else knew that.

He had told them he wasn’t sure, that there had been too many women he had been,  just to protect her. He might not have acted as the best father, but that was something he couldn’t help. He was the Lord of the Underworld and running that place was a full-time job. Not to mention he was a God. He had other children, and playing favorites was not an option. The gods had learned that the hard way.

Looking at his youngest daughter now, he felt pityful. Sorry even, for giving her this faith. A future she didn’t know about. Couldn't know about. A future that Hades would have changed, if he could have.

A future that included hatred, betrayal, and destruction.

But, most importantly, heartbreak, from the one person it was most expected from.

The son of Aphrodite.
