Since the day you move out with your family when you're 6 and decided to move into Seoul . Kris became your neighbour, therefore , he have been your childhood friend since then . Nobody wanted to be your friend when you went to school in Seoul other than Kris . You guys have a very close connection , he have never fails to cheer you up when you're sad and he is the only one who stand up for you against the bullies when you got bullied and threatened in school . He always been there for you and you start developing feelings for him .

You’re to scared to confess but the feelings you have towards Kris , start to grow each day . You do not want this 10 years friendship to be destroyed if you were to confess to him . So , you kept quite and bottle it up to yourself for 5 years . However you start to make friends during third year of High school period , Sooyoung and Baekhyun . Four of you became bestfriends and Kris is happy for you that you have met new friends .

However everything starts to change when you’re on your fourth year in high school . Sooyoung confessed to you that she has a crush on Kris since she last 5 months . You couldn’t bear to hurt your best girlfriend feelings , so you tried to gave up your 5 years feeling for Kris . At the same time , you was feeling very hurt inside and you couldn’t seem to give up the feelings you had for Kris . No matter what , you tried your very best to put aside your feelings for Kris and make both Kris and Sooyoung went out together and make them both bond with each other well .

Kris’s birthday is just 2 days away , you went shopping with Sooyoung and Baekhyun to shop for Kris present . However , you felt so annoyed that Sooyoung keep asking you what Kris like and at the end Sooyoung brought the present that you wanted to bought for Kris . Sooyoung started to change , she forgets you and no longer hang out with you but hang out with Kris . She even ignores you when you talked to her in school and when Kris is asking you question she purposely interrupts both of you and Kris converstion . You start hating Sooyoung’s behaviour towards you . However , Baekhyun have always tried to comfort you and he starts hating Sooyoung self-centred attitude too .

( On Kris birthday , At School )

You : HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRIS !

Kris : Thank youuu , babe !

He smiles shyly and hugged you and kisses your forehead . When , sooyoung saw both of you being lovey-dovey she start being an attention seeker and act like she is sick , so that Kris would pay attention to her . You had enough of Sooyoung attention seeking and self-centred attitude . You pulled her away from Kris and brought her to the School’s roof top .

Y : Why are you being such an attention seeker ?

S : Pfft , why ? are you jealous ?!

Y : Don’t you dare to say you doesn’t know how many years I have like Kris and thanks to you , you ruined everything . You tried to sabotage kris and mine friendship . why ?

S : Are you a pabo ? cant you see that im trying my very best to make Kris stay away from you , so that he could notice me instead . I don’t want you to snatch him away from me! Therefore , I became an attention-seeker towards him .

Y : You ungrateful person ! I tried to gave up my feeling for Kris to make you and him closer and this is what I get in returned ?!

S : I have never asked you to help me nor I asked you to stop liking him . But , now Kris is mine don’t you dare to break us apart or I will kill you . Maybe you should stay away from us and fall in love with baekhyun instead.

Y : You have no right to tell me who should I love , so shut your mouth !

S : Pfft , cant you see Kris doesn’t even like you , he likes me and fyi he told me he will never look at you other than just his bestfriend . So throw away your feelings for him far away . It a waste of time to like him .

Y : W…ha..t ?

S : Ahahaha , pabo .

Sooyoung smirked at you and pushed you away and make her way out

 

Y : WAIT !

S : What now ?

Y : I will not disturb both of you anymore but before I really give up my feelings for Kris I would like to say something .

S : Go ahead .

“ Kris , is not just that kind of any other guy . He is one of a kind . He have a very soft heart no matter how strong he looks on the outside . I don’t know if you know this , but , both of his parents is divorced and he only have his grandma to support him . So he have been longing for somebody who would be always there for him , you must be that somebody . He maybe ranting on the smallest thing but you must listen to him , he like skinship , so hug him most of the time . He may be very protective sometimes , but trust me it will makes you feel very secure to just have him by your side . He will hate me if I left him but don’t you ever think of leaving him in future . He is really one in a million man . Take care of him and love him with all of your heart . That is all what i asked for “

You left sooyoung and make your way to your class , Baekhyun saw you , he stopped you and lift up your chin , he found out that you are tearing up . He hugged you tightly . However you saw Kris is coming to your direction, you took this opportunity to kiss Baekhyun . You lightly pressed your lips against Baekhyun’s . Tears rolling down your cheeks when you kissed him . You felt as if your heart has being stabbed repeatedly .

“ Sorry Baekhyun “ your murmured to yourself

You cant believe what you did , and however you find that it the only way for you to forget Kris forever . But you were wrong , you couldn’t bring yourself to love Baekhyun . You hate yourself for playing with Baekhyun’s feelings . As day passes your heart felt numb and you gotten weaker . You suffered from anorexic due to lack of nutrients in your body and your body have given up on you , you start to have serious sickness . You spend most of your life time going in and out of the hospital . Baekhyun and your family members were very worried for you and couldn’t know what the cause of you getting so sick .

After a few years , due to lost contact from Kris since the day you kissed Baekhyun  , you heard rumor that he have left for Canada . You wondered to yourself that if he is happy with Sooyoung ? if things doesn’t work out , did he move on ? have he find a new girl who could love him sincerely with her full heart ? does he have someone to talk to ? is he feeling lonely ? However time passed way to fast , and your parents agreed that you should have somebody to take care of you 24/7 at home . So they planned to for you get married with Baekhyun soon .

“ How could I get married to someone who I doesn’t love ? It too late , no point of crying over spilled milk . This is all my fault , if only I could rewind back time , I would confessed my feelings for Kris no matter what the outcome is . I wouldn’t be feeling very regretful till this day . I could never look or love Baekhyun the way I did to Kris even till this day . It hurts so much ” You thought to yourself while resting on your bed . You make your mind relax by listening and humming to EXO ‘ XOXO ’.

You cant believe that this day have arrived . You are waiting nervously behind the door , waiting for your father to walk you down the aisle . Your mum was so happy for you that this day has come . While you were waiting for your father , you recognised some one  is walking towards your directions , it was Sooyoung. You was shocked by her presence in your wedding day .

S : Have you been well ?

Y : What do you want from me ?! Why do you care ?! Are you going to steal Baekhyun away from me now after you stole Kris from me .

S : Ahahaha , how funny . Sigh , do you even love baekhyun at the first place . I doubt so . 

Y : ….

S : Pabo , you couldn’t even answer me . It a no isn’t it , than why do you have to act like you love and get married with him ? Do me a favour ?

Y : What ?

S : Y/N ask yourself who is in your heart now , honestly . I may no need the answer but you know it yourself . 

Y : What your motive of asking me ? Why not you mind your own business ? Go away !

S : You have a chance to run now , If you run now , you can find Kris at the place where both of your frequently go . He will be waiting for you till midnight , just in case you changed your mind .

Y : I do not want to hurt Baekhyun . I could not leave , I have no choice .

S : You have a choice , you run and be with Kris forever or get married to Baekhyun and live you life with full of regrets and pain . Kris have never accepted me as his girlfriend no matter how hard i tried to win his heart for the past 6 years , he have been only looking at you since the start . It your life , it your decision . Im not doing this for you , but for Kris . I couldnt bare to see him hurt anymore , without your presence next to him . I lied to you when i told you that he likes you just as a friend during our high school time .

Y : My life wouldn’t be this miserable , if you wouldn’t steal Kris way from me nor lie to me  !

S : Now , it not the time to quarrel . You must decide now , your father will be here at anymoment .

You took a deep breath , and answered Sooyung

Y : Let my father take me down the aisle , I told you , you must be that someone to be by Kris side no matter what . I cant anymore , not today not anymore . Baekhyun’s side is where I belong . I couldnt leave him hanging just like that . If this is what it called fate than let it be .

Suddenly , you could hear footsteps behind you , it your father who is smiling so brightly waiting for you to bring you down the aisle . You tried not to tear  , you returned a fake bright smile to your father . You wished this was just a dream . As the church door opens , you could see you future husband standing there looking charming with his suit , smiling at you .

Your father handed you to baekhyun and baekhyun took you up the stage . Suddenly , you heard Baekhyun whispered to you “ Sorry , Y/N . Im very sorry . You don’t belong to me ”

You was shocked . Baekhyun suddenly turned to the crowd behind him and said

‘ Im sorry everybody , this wedding will be cancelled off and Y/N doesn’t belong to me . I don’t like her , for the past 6 years we’ve been together I have never love her once . I cant do this anymore I cant bring myself to get married to somebody who I doesn’t love . Im sorry to Y/N parents , I had played with her feelings and Im sorry Y/N I have to let you go . Take care . ’

The crowd suddenly was in chaos after Baekhyun confessed .

‘ That is not what you supposed to say, that Is what I supposed to say Baekhyun . This is a good opportunity to run be with the one who I really love , Kris . Kris I hope you’re still there waiting for me patiently . ’ You thought to yourself .

BAEKHYUN POV

I saw her walking down the aisle beside her father , looking so perfect and flawless as always . Any guy who she have fall in love is so lucky . Should I let her go ? I do not want her to feel hurt and guilty in marrying me . I wish you really look at me and love like the way you do to Kris , I guess you don’t for the pass 6 years . It hurts me when I accidentally heard the convo you had with Sooyoung before you walk down the aisle.

Im sorry im stupid enough not to know that you have been liking Kris all this while . I should tell the crowd , I will lie just for you Y/N , I hope you will live a happy life forever with Kris . I really hope he is still waiting for you . I will always love you no matter how bad it hurts to just know it now about your true feeling towards me .

You ran out of the church barefooted and make your way to Han River . You couldn’t believe that Baekhyun was suffering and forcing himself to love you for the past 6 years . You was panting so heavily and looked for Kris all around . You couldn’t find him at all . So you though he had left you forever . Rain starts to pour down heavily , you kneel on the floor crying your lungs out  and hugged your legs tightly feeling so cold and miserable .

Suddenly a man approaches you and said

‘ Are you okay , miss ? ’

‘ Get away , leave me alone ! ’ You shouted without looking at the man

‘ Are you sure , you want me to go aw- ’ the man replied but you cut him off

‘ Cant you hear me , I said go aw- HUH ? KRIS ?! ’

You stood up immediately and hugged him so tightly . He carries you and tuned you around . Everything is like a dream for Kris to come back to you . On that day , he promise you that he will never leaves you and before you could say your promises to Kris , his strong arms were around your waist , holding you as close as possibly while he bent down and kissed you gently . The soft gentle kiss gradually turned into a deep passionate kiss . That is when you knew it fate .
