"Minnie oppa!" Alice screamed as she barged in to her best friend's room.

Xiumin immedietly grab his pillow and burried his head underneath it.

"Oppa !! Get up !!" Alice said jumping up and down Xiumin's bed.

"Ughhh... Al-Al Can you give me a break?" Xiumin groan.

"But you promise to come with me !"

"Ughhhhhh...Coz you didn't tell me that we have to get up early in the morning!" Xiumin whine giving up, he sat down on his bed and ruffled Alice hair.

It's been 6 years since the two met.

Alice was 12 and Xiumin was 14.

It was when Alice and her family moved in Korea from China.

Alice accidentally enter into Xiumin's house that looks exactly like theirs, but you can't blame the girl since their house is just beside aach other, and the colour, interior are basically the same, except now, Xiumin's mother decided to grow some Roses, while Alice ded decided to buld small fence around their lawn.

"Don't be a lazy potato Oppa, plus,this volunteer work will be on our University application ! It will help a lot if they see this in your records.!" 

Xiumin agreed to this Summer School Volunteer, not because Alice told her about the scholarship he can get. But because of what Alice told him after that.

"And you kmow, they are all International Students who will come here for Summer School to study Korena language and Culture ! And I'm thinking that this could be my chance to meet a good looking guy and finally get the chance tp date them ! Plus I think I can communicate with them since -I heard- Most of them will be from China!" 

Why did Xiumin agreed to come becaus eof this reason, you ask? 

First, no, Xiumin is not expecting to also meet a hot guy and started dating him, coz He is as straight as a needle.

The thing is, Xiumin, he is fool, stupid and coward.

Because he knows, he will never have the love of his friend.

And knowing that, he decided to keep that one-sided love, afterall, he believes that sooner or later, all of those will fade away.

"Oppa, faster we'll be late!" Alice bang on his bathroom door.

"Arraseo, Jeez, Al-Al you're too excited!" 

"Of course ! It's the first day and I have to leave a good impression you know!" 

"fine fine, Wait for me outside, I'll get my keys."



"Ah, How convienient to have a best friend that drives."

"Sometimes I think, you see me as your driver-assistant than a best friend."

Alice giggle before turning to Xiumin who is too focus on his driving, "How do you know?" 

"YAH !"

"Hihihi, Just kidding oppa~" Alice grin and poke Xiumin's cheeks.

XIUMIN'S POV

"Okay, so basically, all you have to do is help them with their koren, in class, you can help the teacher, and on field trips, you will have to take a group with you and you all will be guiding them around."

The principal explains.

Wait. So does it mean, me and Al-Al won't be together?

"Ah, Mr. Shim, So we each get a class to help with a teavher, then on field trips we are on our own ?" One of the volunteer ask, Chanyeol I read his nametag.

"The frist part is right, you all will get a class individually but for field trips, since there's almost 300 students, and there's only 20 faculties and 6 volunteers, we decided that for volunteers, every filed trips, you will be in partners and will be bringing 15 students in your group." The principal explains.

Good. Then at least for field trip I can be her partner.

NARRATOR's POV

Alice and Xiumin both got assigned to the seniors class, in which xiumin kinda don't like.

"I kinda want to be in the lower grades." Xiumin said as they both made their way to their assigned class.

"Its fine for me. I think we can make friend with them since their all in the same age as us" Alice grin.

"Haist.. I doubt it." Xiumin whisper.

"OH.! here's my class .!" Alice turn to Xiumin and smile, "I'll see you at lunch.

"So what do you think about today?" Alice ask Xiumin as they walk towards Xiumin's car.

"Nah..I think it's okay. Although it would be better if that Kris guy didn't make a fuss about his seat on the bus." 

"I think it's cute." Alice giggle.

Xiumin sigh, opening the door for her, "I don't. Why must he make a big deal about seating beside Quia?" 

Alice waited for Xiumin to enter the car before answering, "Well Quia was kinda annoying him, so I guess that's why." 

"I don't know. I don't feel good about that guy." Xiumin starts the car.

"Maybe because his too good looking on his own good that's why." Alice teased.

Yes. His too good looking. Xiumin sigh.

Days past and soon becomes weeks.

It's now their third week of volunteering.

"So Xiumin and Nana you two will be a pair for today's field trip."


Xiumin gave Alice a look, mouthing 'is it ok?'


Alice just give him a half smile and a nod.


"And Alice would be partner up with Chanyeol."


Xiumin smile. At least his bect friend is in a right hand.


He had know Chanyeol througout the volunteer days. And the said boy was actually a Happy Virus.


He knows Alice will be okay with Chanyeol.


"Okay today though, we will be going with only the senior students which means two groups in one school bus, Soori and Qui's group will be on the same bus, while Nana and Chanyeol's will be on the other, now go assist your group to the bus and have fun!"



"Hey !" Nana greet Xiumin.


"Oh hey Nana." Xiumin smile to the girl as they lead the group to the bus.


"Well I'm actyally glad I got to be paired up with you."


"Oh really." Xiumin said blushing.


On the other hand, "So that's basically it." Chanyeol glance to Alice but the the said girl wasn't even looking nor listening to him, he look at the way Alice was looking and a knowing smile forms on his lips.


"I KNEW IT!" Chanyeol cheered loud and clear getting the attention of everyone in their group.


"Hey lower your volume.." Alice glare at him.


"Anyways....we should walk faster so we can catch up with the other group." Chanyeol grin. While Alice roll her eyes.


"Hey.." Kris said from behind.


"Oh, hey Kris !" Alice smile.


Their group is now waiting for Xiumin's group to finish entering the bus so they can enter as well.


"So ummm. I was wondering if we can seat together in the bus?" Kris ask.


Alice glance in front of her, seeing that Xiumin would probably seat beside Nana, she agreed.


"Sure."


"Great."


AT THE BUS.


"So I told her that pink hair doesn't suit her, and she said, 'okay i'll dye my hair pink' can you believe she is my best friend?" Nana fan herself.


"Hahhahaha that's pretty funny !" Xiumin laugh. His actually enjoying Nana's company. Even forgetting that Alice is on the same bus as him.


"What's so funny about that!" Alice mumble rolling her eyes to the two who is seating two seats on their right.


"Funny who?" Kris ask.


"Ah nothing KRIS CONTINUE TALKING!" Alice speak louder purposely.


"Ah....sure.."


Xiumin turn his head to the back to see Alice talking to Kris.


The boy Alice thinks that is 'too good looking for his own good'.


Xiumin sigh and look ahead.


"You like her don't you?" Nana ask.


"Huh?!"


"You like Alice." Now it was a statement and not a question.


Not getting an answer Nana give Chanyeol a thumbs up behind Xiumin's back.


"I'll help you." Nana smile.


"Huh?!" Xiumin look to the girl.


Nana looks behind them to see if Alice is looking, once she os sure that she have the girl's attention, Nana leans in and give Xiumin's cheek a peck.



Alice was trying to focus on their conversation but Xiumin is just too distracting.


Deciding to risk a glance on her best friend. She watch as Nana and Xiumin continue to talk until.....


"KIM MINSEOKKKKK!!!!"


Everyones attention turn into her and even the bus driver give her a quick look.


Chanyeol and Nana giggle.


While Xiumin just sat there wide eyes and surprise.


1. Because someone just kissed him.. -worst it's not Alice.


2. Alice call his real name which is rare, she onle calls him that if Xiumin is in a matter or life and death or Xiumin stole her precious baozi.




For the rest of the ride Nana and Xiumin didn't spoke a word, while Kris decided to keep his mouth shut.



"Okay so everyone you got the whole 3 hours to play and after that exactly 4 we will all be mseting here.If you need anything me, Nana, Alice and Xiumin will be seating on that tent over there. Remember to put your name tags on." Chanyeol announce.


And after that everyone went disappearing in the sea of people at the amusement park.


"Nana, let's go buy some snacks, will be right back." Cahnyeol said.


"Buy me cotton candy." Alice said grumply.


"You knoa you should be nicer to them since their buying for you." Xiumin smile.


"And you know you should've tell me before that you like Nana."


"WHAT?!"


" I'm your best friend after all."


"I dont like Nana.."


"Yeah right. If you don't want me to know then stop your PDA."


"What the hell are you jealous?" Xiumin ask moving closer to the girl.


"Eww gross. You do realize I have Kris."


"Well..your right ... After all Kris is way better than me ..."


"Yes way better...." Alice snap.


"I like you."


"And he will definately be the best bo--WHAT ?!"

Alice turn her head towards Xiumin.


"Please... can you stop talking about Kris....if your with me..." Xiumin give Alice a half hearted smile before ruffling her hair.


"COTTON CANDY DELIVERY!" Chanyeol boom. But Alice remained frozen.




For the whole trip Xiumin acted like nothing happened while Alice was still in daze.


Finally the two are jow alone seating in Xiumin's car.


"I actually think this volunteering is pretty fun...such a waste that next week is the last week. Right?" Xiumin ask.


Alice caugthing off guard just hum in response.


Xiumin look at her with a frown, 'Maybe it was wrong to confess to her in that manner....'


"Sorry."


"Huh?"


Xiumin sigh and focus on the road, " I know I was being immature when I said all those stuff back there." Deciding that it won't be safe to drive while talking, Xiumin made a brief turn and park his car just in front of a bubble tea store.


"If your not fine with me having feelings for you...then just foget everything. I'll return into being your best friend, just, please act as before. Don't ignore me instead tease me, don't just agree to whatever I said but argue with me, Call me minnie oppa again than Xiumin-shi. Please."


"I-I like you oppa...." Her head hung low.


"A. Lot."


"I know you hate me no--- WAIT WHAT?!"


"I plan all of this, I told you that Kris was freaking good looking just to make you jealous but in reality for me you are way too good for your own good. I lied wheb I said I wanted to meet random guys to date because belive me oppa, I don't want random guy, I want you.... "


Then there's a huge fits of laughter.


Alice give him a glare.


Xiumin stop laughing, tears forming on his eyes, "Are you confessing or whinning ?"


Alice rolled her eyes and tried to open the car door.


"Wait!" Xiumin held on her arms, Alice turned pouting.


"What?"


CHUUUUU~~~


Alice turned red wity the sudden action.


Xiumin glance on his phone, "It's still early, wanna grab bubbletea ?"
