Choose a theme word (or just use Halloween and spooky things in general as your theme) to write about. Here are some suggestions, but feel free to use your own: bats, ghost, haunt, axe, asylum, dream/nightmare, demon, black cat, blood, witch, broomstick, candy, crow, curse, coffin, costume, curse, cemetary, cauldron, devil, enchantment, fog, frog, moon, genie, ghoul, grim reaper, goblin, ghoul, hell, jack o'lantern, magic, mask, mist, mummy, fright, owl, snake, skeleton, skull, spook, trick-or-treat, vampire, werewolf, undead, zombie.

 

Alternatively, use a general scenario and put your own Halloween twist on it! For example, the scenario could be "roadtrip" and the twist would be a roadtrip during the zombie apocalypse. The fics don't necessarily have to do with Halloween in particular, they just have to be Halloween-themed or generally spooky.
