What Makes You Beautiful
She was always like this: boyish.
At first she was new to it, but later on, she just got used to being
one. This was all because if one reason: she wanted to be close
to him. When they were still in 2nd grade, she always watches
over him. Whenever he's eating at the cafeteria, reading a book
at the library, or inside the school bus, she always look at him.
"Hey! Yoona your ball!" a guy called out and passed the ball.
Yoona caught it and dribbled it. She passed the first one who
blocked her way. And as fast as lightning, she passed through
the other blockers. When she got the chance, she shoot the
ball. And...
"Nice job, Yoona! You let it in" her friend by the bleachers, Yuri
said.
"That's our ace player!Yeah!" a boy called out from the bench.
Yoona was not an official basketball player. She just joins the
other players to enjoy and have fun.
Everyone was patting her at the back. She didn't mind them.
She was looking at the bleachers, like she was looking for
someone.
"Where is he?" she whispered to herself. Then, she saw him by
the benches. He was looking away at the time she saw him.
"I hoped he saw my shooting skills," she thought.
She decided to sit beside him. Even though she was watching
over him ever since, they never got the chance to talk to each
other long. Whenever she approaches him, someone
interferes. He was a bit shy and she always wished he will
approach her,too.
She noticed him shyly glanced at her and she found this a bit
cute. She was about to say hello when a guy came.
"Yoona! Nice game there!"
"Oh, Nickhun! Thanks."
Nickhun noticed the guy a few inches near Yoona.
"Kyuhyun! There you are my man! How was your day,huh?"
Yoona looked at Kyuhyun and smiled at him.She noticed Kyu
blushed a little but she kept it in. Nickhun continued talking
about the game but she never heard a thing he said. She just
wiped away her sweat, secretly glancing at Kyu. All of a sudden,
Nickhun's hand was over her shoulders. She was shocked and
saw Kyu leave. She pushed Nickhun away.
"What do you think you're doing?" Then, she left.
After the incident, Yoona never saw Kyu again. Whenever she
sees him, she avoided her.
One day, they met by the corridor.
"Hi!" Yoona greeted but Kyu looked down and walked the other
way.
"Wait! Are you avoiding me?"
Kyu shook his head.
"But why are you walking away?"
"Because..."
"Yoona!"
"Hi there Nickhun."
Yoona noticed Kyu's glaring eyes at Nickhun.
Kyu started to walk away.
"Wait!" Yoona ran after him and left Nickhun.
The two reached the school garden.
"Why are you like this? Answer me Cho Kyuhyun!"
"Because I like you!"
Yoona was stunned.
"What?"
"I like you okay? Since 2nd grade! But I never tried to tell you
because I know you won't like me back! I was afraid!"
Yoona smiled at him. Kyu looked down in embarrassment. At
last, he had the courage to say it. She approached him and
then...
She kissed him on the cheek. Kyu froze.
"Thank you. I was waiting for you since 2nd grade to say that."
The flowers from the garden started to blossom. Its a start of
another lovely day.
