Rewind and Redo

Description

Kim Jong In killed Do Kyungsoo.

Death decided to give him another chance.

Foreword

"Did you love him?"

I look up at the man clad in black and wonder if I should answer truthfully, so I inquire, "Why do you need to know?"

Suddenly, in one swift move, he's right next to me, whispering in my ear with a voice that reminds me of smooth velvet and silk, "Because I want to know if you're worthy of a second chance."

I'm interested now. "A second chance?"

Even though I can't see his face beneath the shadows of his hood, I can tell he's smirking at my embarrassingly ravenous reaction. He clarifies for me, "Yes, a second chance to bring back what you loved most. But, I'll only give you 48 hours back."

He reaches up with his thin, nimble fingers and tugs off the fabric that was covering his face, revealing what was underneath this entire time. His face is breathtakingly perfect and unmarred: his facial features are chiseled in just the right areas, emphasizing his jaw and bone structure, and his eyes are a deep brown that reminds me of the brownies and the warmth Kyungsoo always provided me. I've heard of this man, this terrifyingly alluring man, and I'm slightly shaken, but I regain my composure quickly so he doesn't notice.

I look him in the eyes and question, "What do I have to do?"

His soft, thick lips curl upwards in a teasing manner and he elucidates in that rich voice of his, "Nothing. All you have to do is say please."

So I do as he says. "Please."

When I see him with a sly smile gracing his lips, I wonder if I made the right choice of striking a deal with the infamous Grim Reaper, but I can tell there's no time for curiosity right now.
