excerpt: Luhan sat up and took off his shirt, his eyes stone cold.

His body was covered with bruises of multitude of hues. 

There were garish purple splotches, roughly the size of a fist, while others were more grayish, but still looked as bad.

And it wasn't just the bruises. There were scars, too. Lines across his body, like someone or something had dug its nails into him, tearing his flesh. 

Sehun's eyes widened in horror. He nearly cried out in shock.

'You don't want me anymore, do you?' Luhan managed to say, in a mocking tone with a smirk plastered on his face.

But he was hurting inside, he was breaking.

Baekhyun stiffened up a little, shocked by the contact and sudden hug from Jongdae. ‘Jongdae, don’t do that.’ 

‘Don’t do what?’ Jongdae said cheekily, playing dumb. Baekhyun could hear Jongdae’s laughter chiming his ears and he felt Jongdae tightening the hug. Baekhyun couldn’t stop himself blushing furiously and for that moment he really felt safe in Jongdae’s arms. He felt secure. It was all that he needed now. Even though it was different from the way his giant hugged him, he still felt --- wait… C-Chanyeol. His eyes caught a glimpse of the polaroid on the wall. It was a photograph of Chanyeol back-hugging Baekhyun, and their smiling eyes curved into crescents, screaming happiness. 

All of a sudden Baekhyun felt a sharp pain stabbing his chest and struggled to get Jongdae’s arms off him. He even tried to push him away. He felt as if Chanyeol in the photograph was watching him. ‘J-Jongdae, let go, please,’ he uttered.

‘P-Please go away.’

Jongdae understood and let go, no more laughter coming from him. Instead, he felt tears building up.
