Prologue

It Take Two to Dance

I watched the yellow car pull up, and watched him throw his bags into the trunck before hugging his parents -and mine- goodbye. We had already said "goodbye" earlier in the day, it would've been too hard to say at the actual time. I turned my head away before I could see the car drive off, there he goes. My best friend since I was born was leaving to the big city to follow his dream, and until I get my letter -if I get it- I'll be sitting here doing nothing. When I felt bored I would always go next door and he and I would make marashmallows and drink soda's, now, all we can do is text each other back and forth. I watched as his parents and mine exchanged a few words before walking their seperate ways, I couldn't help but notice a small package in my father's hands. I can only hope it is what I want it to be...
