Hakyeon, his usual companions, Vixx, and together with some men had just gotten back from a quest when he felt something peculiar.

“My Lord, what’s wrong?” Ravi asked when he saw the Prince’s troubled expression.

“Something feels weird. Why aren’t there any sentries at the front gate?” he questioned.

The rest of them agreed, hence they quickly headed inside the castle. The view right before their eyes was shocking;  men were lying everywhere, some had blood all over their body.

“We are under attack!” Hyuk exclaimed.

“Some of them are still alive, but they are barely conscious,” Ken informed as he checked on the men on the ground.

Leo ordered the men that had went on the quest with them to follow him to look for any sign of the culprit. Hakyeon immediately ran towards the throne room; the scene right before his eyes was rather grotesque. His father’s guards were lying on the pool of their own blood; disfigured. Not far from their dead bodies was his father, badly wounded.

“Father!” Hakyeon exclaimed, rushing toward his father.

Hakyeon held the King in his arm. His father was still conscious but they both knew it wasn't for long. The powerful king of the vampires was on the verge of dying, covered in his bloody cloth. Hakyeon held his helpless father in his arm.
