Finally, Emily gathers us around, making us huddle together for the last cheer. We shout, cheering as the camera above us captures our motions, and we wave one last time, holding up our thumbs as the camera blinks out. ~jihye.

❝ D-6 Chapter 04: Camera, Lights, Action ❤

“Omo, look!” Lily swings her arm around my shoulder, dragging me along with excitement as she gazes in awe at our music video set, a wide street with colorful signs and lights that were blinking in time with our debut song, “I Got a Boy,” faintly in the background. “It’s so big!” she gasps, still gaping at the scene. I grin back, pointing at one of the signs, “Hey look! It even has my line on it!” Lily giggles along, “Yup! Ayo PF!” doing my signature move from the intro.



“Love your outfit, by the way.” she continues, smiling away as she skips off, finding interest of something else on the set. I had to admit that our rocky friendship was at one of those weird turns away, sort of like we were starting to drift away. I wasn’t sure of what necessarily started our unstable friendship, but our friend status was practically equivalent of a rollercoaster, with multiple dips and dives that would scare the heck out of me. And it seems that we hit another bump and were hanging off the peak, just about ready to plummet.

I resort to my own silence, sighing as I my outfit. Today’s concept was called, ‘street hip hop’ and we were dressed up with loose jeans and neon colors, it was as if they were purposely trying to blind me. I zip my collar down a bit more, revealing my hot pink bra underneath, Mhm, and we have to reveal our entire stomach as well. I frown, disapproving of my appearance of skin and zip my jean jumpsuit up to the neck again.

“Places!” the director shouts, just as the rest of my members pile onto the set. “Gee Emily, I knew you said that our concept screamed color, but I didn’t know it came to a point where my eyes sting every time I blink.” Mihyun comments, shaking out her short, pink hair. “And hair included.” Emily pats the shorter on her back, “Don’t worry I feel you, my purple streaks have been getting to me lately.” Mihyun frowns, turning to face the leader, “What do you mean?” Emily chuckles lightly, “Did you see my pillow this morning?” Mihyun shakes her head, “There’s purple streaks on my pillowcase.” Emily explains, heading over to the bench placed in front of the camera, the sound of laughter trails after her. The rest of us follow her, lining up in our positions. Eunmi, Qui, Emily, Diamond, and Haneul stood behind the bench while, Lily, Mihyun, Soojung, and I sat down on the bench. “1, 2, 3.” Emily starts to count us off, “Hello, we are-”

“P!NK FR!DAY!” we shout in unison, waving at the camera with bright smiles on our faces. “This is PF’s music video filming set!” Soojung exclaims, earning our applause and laughs. “Welcome!” I added with another dazzling smile, as we clap together. “I got a boy has a charming, appealing track that has a number of tempo changes all in one song.” Emily continues, quickly explaining about our debut song and album, since she finishes, Mihyun picks up on her line, “For our debut,” she continues, we will work hard to show our best image! And this is our first mini album so we hope you guys will give us lots of love!” Qui perks up, “And pink!” We giggle again as Mihyun hands the mic over
