"Okay! Class dismissed! Please clear up your books and leave the class, thank you for listening, God bless you!" said the working teacher. As soon as the teacher left the class, the sound of students yelling could be heard since they've been looking forward for this time of the day; home time.

 

Immediately, they cleared up their books and left the class, each accompanied by their own friends. Soon, there were only Karen and Kyungsoo left in the class; the diligent students of the school. Karen was the queenka of the school who would always get confessions from the male students, even though she rejected it at the end. Kyungsoo is one of her fans, wrong, to be exact; he had grown feelings towards the girl, even though he keeps it to himself. He felt like he didn't suit her at all for his thick glasses and braces.

 

Karen approached the said boy and said, "Let's go home together, you're house is around the school, right?" Kyungsoo became startled as his heart was screaming hysterically. Even so, he still has to hide his feelings for Karen.

 

"No thank you Karen, I could go home myself. After all, I'm a Seoul citizen, why should you be the one to take me? I'm the male here, I'm the one who was supposed to take you." he said, 'Sorry Karen...' he says, inwardly.

 

"Oh, yeah, but thank you. I could go home myself too, hehe... Oh yeah, I hope... from now on we can be good friends..." she held out her hands, "Kyungsoo, would you be my friend?"

 

Kyungsoo's heart was beating abnormally fast, his already big eyes, widened even more making himself look like a pufferfish.

 

"Hmm... okay, friends!" he shook her hand as he smiled, showing off his braces and his undeniably handsome face.

 

 

 

From that day on, the two became closer and they both helped each other also supporting each other.

Until one day...

 

"Students! Good news for you all, there will be an event that our school will celebrate which will be prom night for class 10 and 11 in the famous ballroom of Gangnam! Do you all know where it is?" the teacher announced before the students nodded, "Good, please find you partner! If you're interested in performing a song or a dance, contact teacher Zhang. Thank you! God bless you!" the students became noisy as a riot, as soon as the teacher left.

 

Karen and Kyungsoo were the only ones who stayed quiet. Not long after, two of Karen's friends came and asked about who the lucky guy will be, what dress she would wear and what make-up would she use.

 

Kyungsoo could only stay quiet as he stared at Karen's back, "I hope you'll choose me, Karen." he thought to himself before releasing a sigh and resting his head on the table, trying to fall asleep.

 

 

That night, Karen's friends visited her house to hang out.

 

They all gathered on her bed and asked,

 

"Ren, who is this lucky guy that you wanted to take with you to prom night?"

 

"None of your business! Stop being so nosy!"

 

"Aww, come on!"

 

"Nope!"

 

"Ah! It's Kris, right?"

 

The thought of Kris peeing in the wrong places came back to her mind and she shook her head almost immediately.

 

"Um... if so, Luhan! Right?"

 

The memory of Luhan spanking her came across her mind, made her cringe and she shook her head brutally.

 

"Chanyeol?"

 

"Kai?"

 

"Taehyung?"

 

"Jongkook?"

 

"Baekhyun?"

 

"Nope. All your guesses are wrong."

 

Her friends brainstormed through every guy, hoping to find the right one.

 

"Would it be Kyungsoo?"

 

Immediately, her cheeks became warm, her lips curved into a breathtaking smile and her heart beats abnormally fast when hearing his name.

 

"Hmm... maybe."

 

"Yah! Why didn't you just say so?"

 

"Because I didn't want to. So... is anyone hungry? It's already like... half-past seven."

 

"Oh yeah, let's eat then."

 

As Karen stepped off her bed, she felt a painful headache storming through her skull, causing her body to become unstable. She excused herself to the rest room, telling her friends that she would catch up with them later.

 

 

"Aish... what should I wear? Hmm..." Karen is at the moment trying to pick a perfect outfit for tonight's prom since she wanted to look good for Kyungsoo. She rampaged through her closet and her eyes landed on a pink pastel dress, stopping right at her knees; the one that her mother had bought for her birthday this year.

 

"Hmm, I want this one..." she lifted her dress and smiled to herself.

 

After Karen had finished getting ready and she felt satisfied and confident with her looks, she grabbed her pink purse and took off.

 

As soon as she arrived, the male students crowded around her car as they swooned over how breathtaking she looks while stepping off the car. As usual, she offered them her kind smile.

 

"Ahn Karen, would you like to dance with me?"

 

"Karen~! Pick me!"

 

"KAREN~!"

 

"Karennnn~"

 

The yelling caused a headache growing from the back of her head, though she kept walking and grabbed a drink, hoping to reduce the pain.

 

Then, the sound of a familiar singing voice drifted to her ears, Chen.

 

Chen is another close boy space friend of hers. He's a kind and caring boy who admired Karen. The girl had already found out about his feelings towards her though she kept and heart shut. She just didn't feel like Chen was her future and God Himself didn't give any signs of it.

Before Chen had the chance to finish his song, Karen walked out to the balcony. She wanted Kyungsoo to sing that song, she wanted Kyungsoo to tell 'Someone who is very important to my life, Karen."

 

She wanted Kyungsoo in her life.

 

She heard footsteps of someone and turned around, spotting Kyungsoo dressing up in a vampire costume.

 

She smiled at the sight of him.

 

Kyungsoo approached her and gave her a lollipop.

 

"Don't you think it's weird when a vampire who is supposed to be drinking blood, is at the moment craving for lollipop?"

 

"Hmm... I don't know. Anyway what's important is that it's lovely in the mouth and lovely in the heart, hehe..."

 

Soon, Kyungsoo finished his lollipop in hand and gazed at Karen who's only smiling at her own one in hand. He couldn't help but smile as well.

 

 

On the way home, Kyungsoo's breath was caught in his lungs. His feelings weren't in the right places and he felt something wrong in his chest about Karen, although soon, he shook off the thought and kept driving.

 

 

"Good morning students of class 10!"

 

"Good morning Mr. Kim!"

 

"Listen up. As you can see, the table in front of me is empty right? And as you all know, this table belongs to Karen right?"

 

"Yes, sir."

 

"Karen has had a car accident last night, on her way home from the prom. We will make a schedule on when we could go and visit her." the teacher announced softly. "Thank you for your attention, God Bless You."

 

The news sunk in Kyungsoo's system and he buried his face between his arms and began sobbing quietly.

 

He should have called her or at least take her home.
