L's POV~

The Kim family has been the butlers or maids for the Jung family for generations. And now, as the latest generation of the Kim family, it's my duty to protect my mistress, Jung Jasmine. She is younger than me by 4 years. I have been taking care of her ever since she was an infant. And even up till she is a high school student, i'll still be her loyal and faithful butler.

"Mistress, please stop playing and preparing to go to school" i say to her when i see her still playing in front of her laptop

She pouts. "Stop calling me by mistress. I told you to call me Minnie instead, Myung Myung. Beside, i've known you since i was born. You already like a big brother to me"

"I'm sorry, i just doing my duty as a butler" i bow down a little while apologising to her. She still pouting. "Call me Minnie then i'll go to school"

"Okay, Minnie, be a good little sister and preparing to go to school, okay? I'll be waiting for Minnie in the car" i bow down again before leaving the room. It's not like i don't wanna call her Minnie or make a pet name for her. But, my dad will kill me if he sees me not doing my job as a butler properly. Beside, ever since little, i was taught to be a proper butler for my mistress.

Even in school, i still follow her to class and wait for her to finish school. My turn to study is at weekend where my mistress' parents are home to accompany her. Even though it's tiring, i still love my job as a butler for my lovely mistress. Yeah, i've liked her since long time ago. A taboo feeling, i know.

"Minnie-ya!" my rival, Jungkook, runs to where my mistress is standing right now and hugs her. Those two know each other ever since little and have been close ever since then.

"Kookie, you study here too?" asks Minnie. Jungkook nods and smiling. Though the smile faint when seeing me behind my mistress. "He still follows you everywhere?" asks Jungkook.

"Yeah, he is like my guardian. Beside, with him around me, i feel safe too. And my dad gonna nag me if i don't have him around me" answers Minnie. Jungkook nods. He knows how rich my mistress' parents are. They are super duper rich. I don't even dare dream i can be as rich as them.

"Let's go then. Class almost starts" said Jungkook holding Minnie's hand. I won't lie, i do feel jealous with Kookie. He can do anything with my mistress and won't look weird. While my job as a butler won't even let me to even just hold her hands.

"Myung Myung, are you alright waiting here alone? Do you want to join me to class too?" asks Minnie

"I'll be alright. Minnie study hard okay?" she nods before walking away with Jungkook. Sometimes she looks back at me, making sure i'm fine by myself. I wanna be Jungkook, even if it's just for a day. I wanna know how it feels to be close to my mistress. Not as a butler but as a mere boy. But, i throw that thought away. As long as i can still be beside my mistress, i'm already happy.

"Baby Minnie!" shouted Hyori when seeing Minnie from afar. She runs and hugs my mistress tightly.

"Umma!" says Minnie happily. Park Hyori, called umma by my mistress, is a super close friend to my mistress. They don't need long time to be close.

"Where's appa?" asks Minnie. The one she means by appa is Kris Wu, boyfriend or born  to be fiancè of Hyori.

"Appa is busy with his club. But, he misses Baby Minnie by a lot too" answers Hyori. She finally recognise me there too after a while.

"Hello, L-ssi, nice to meet you again. How are you?" greets Hyori

I bow and smile. "I'm fine, thanks for asking Hyori-ssi". Then Hyori starts walking with my mistress. As usual, i just follow them from behind. Sometimes i chat with Kris if he is present.

"Where's aunty and uncle?" asked Minnie. Aunty is Hyori's lil sis, Yura. And uncle is her boyfriend or still not fiancè, Jin. It may sounds weird to other, how my mistress and others calling each other by that, but it sounds cute to me. Everything related to my mistress is cute to me.

"Umma doesn't know too. Maybe they going on a date or something" answers Hyori. My mistress nods and keeps walking.

"Myung Myung, what will you cook for dinner?" asks Minnie curiously. I'm about to put the dishes to the table when she comes to the kitchen.

"Minnie's favourite foods. So, be a good girl and eat a lot okay? Since school already starts, Minnie need lots of nutritions" i put the final dish to the table and pull out the chair for her.

"Myung Myung sounds a lot like my mom" she chuckles when saying that. I smile, a real smile, when hearing it. I love everything in her and it hurts knowing your love won't go anywhere.

"My job makes me like Minnie's temporary mom. Now, eat before the foods get cold" i say while sit in front of her. She looks at me confusedly. "Myung Myung won't join me eat?". I shake my head.

"If Myung Myung won't eat then i won't too. It's not fun eating alone, you know?" she says sulking. She looks so cute right now.

"Okay, i'll join Minnie eating" i scoop some rice to my plate and some dishes. Minnie smiles before finally eating. Looks like she knows that i won't eat if she doesn't remind me to. In some way, she does take care of me too.

"Myung Myung, aren't you tired working all day everyday non-stop?" asks Minnie curious

"No, i do get my breaks when Minnie is studying at school, when Minnie sleeping, and at the weekend" i replay her. She looks not satisfied with my answer. "But, Myung Myung can't have any friend and Myung Myung studying in weekend"

I ruffle her hair. "It's okay, i'm happy with my life like this".

"Then, i'll be Myung Myung's friend so Myung Myung won't be lonely. And will help Myung Myung studying too" she says smiling with her own words. I don't need others when i only need her, right? She is all i need.

"I don't think Minnie will understand what i'm studying" i say with a smile. Minnie pouts again.

Time passed really fast. My mistress and Jungkook will be a second grader in senior high now. Meaning Hyori and Kris will graduate and Yura and Jin as a third grader. We all attending Hyori and Kris' graduation ceremony.

"Aunty, umma will graduate soon and then aunty will too next year" whimpers Minnie. Jungkook who sits next to Minnie quickly hugs Minnie. "Don't worry, Kookie is here with Minnie". All i can do is to be silent and let the jealousy burns me inside.

"Kookie! Get your hands away from my precious baby!" orders Kris when seeing Kookie hugging Minnie. As an appa, he never let any boy near my mistress except me. Hyori just rolls her eyes in boredome seeing this scene over and over again. While my mistress pouts. "Appa not fun"

While Jungkook smiles in satisfactory, Kris is sulking with Hyori patting his back. My mistress laughs before hugging her appa.

"Baby Minnie just kidding appa. Baby Minnie loves appa too. And baby Minnie will miss appa and umma a lot too" says Minnie hugging them both. Hyori hugs Minnie back. "Umma will miss baby Minnie a lot too. Umma wanna stay beside baby Minnie forever"

"L, i entrusted my precious baby to you. Keep Kookie away from my baby, okay?" says Kris and i nod. Oh, i'll do that wish gladly.

"Myung Myung, promise to stay with me always, okay?" says Minnie on the way home. I nod my head. "Of course, it's my job as Minnie's butler". Yeah, as a butler, no more.

"Stupid Myung Myung!" says Minnie before get off the car and run to her room. I just sit there, not understanding what happen. I finally decided to follow Minnie to her room.

"Minnie, what's wrong?" i ask her while knocking her door. She tells me to go away but i do the opppsite. I walk in and sit beside her in her bed.

"What did i do wrong?" ask me to her since i don't know anything at all. She glares at me before turning away.

"Because Myung Myung is stupid" she answers still facing away from me. "How many time should i remind Myung Myung that you are not my butler. Stop saying that. I never see you as my butler"

"Then what Minnie wants me to be?" i ask her

"A friend?" she asks back. I smile and nod my head. "From now on, i'll be Minnie's friend and won't acknowledge myself as Minnie's butler"

"Yes! But, Myung Myung still need to follow me everywhere okay? But this time as a friend" she says. I smile before we both going downstairs to play games together.

Even though it may need a long time, but i guess i may have a little chance now right? She doesn't need me as a butler but as a friend. And who knows maybe later she might need me as something more than a friend. So, Baby Minnie, if one day we grow up and still together, will you be my wife and partner in life?
