He sighs deeply before he begins to contemplate which brand of sugar-coated cereals he would buy. He wants for it to be soaked in a bowl full of milk, soggy from being wet for too long. After all, as a man in his early twenties, he is easily contented with simple things (like a box of cereals) in life that he sometimes mixes with complicated yet, extremely beautiful thoughts.

When he finally decides on one, he reaches forward to take a box, only to stop when he was tapped lightly by a girl around his age. He promptly withdraws his arm before looking at the girl to know what she needs from him.

“You still like the same brand, right?” The girl asks with a lustrous smile as she shoves the brand of cereals he wants to his empty hand.

“Excuse me?” he asks, temporarily leaving her question unanswered. “And yes, I wanted Snow Flakes,” he finally tells her, taking the box she offers with a slight nod.  

“How have you been, Wu Fan?” she asks in that pleasant voice of hers that she remembers him hating back in those days.

“Uh… excuse me?” he asks again. “My name is Kris,” he informs her with an underlying tone of questioning.

“No, you are Wu Fan, and you are not who you seem to think you are… oh, but if you prefer to be called Kris, then fine, I’ll call you Kris.”
