Hybrides Mechaniques“I’m tired,” Jongdae announces, even before Yixing can open the door to their new room. “I’m tired, and I’ve only just charged.”
Yixing grunts, lifting one shoulder up in response. They’re always tired; the new circuits they’ve both had to have installed – per the instructions of the Science Academy – are rough, and take some getting used to. They’re not yet acquainted with the thrum of power that runs through them.
Theoretically, it should give them more energy – but for now, their half-flesh and blood bodies can’t take it. It’s times like this that Yixing wishes he was made of a little more metal; it would make the never-ending exhaustion easier to bear.
“At least your eyes look better.” He tells Jongdae, because it’s true. Jongdae’s eyes were beginning to dull; the flashy hawk-eyes he’d had installed as a teenager becoming nothing more than a pair of amber sockets in a fleshless face. They’ve sharpened now – become something almost frightening, but that’s good – it means he’s more likely to get hired, and god knows they need the money.
“Mm,” Jongdae agrees, falling backwards onto the thin mattress; for once, he does not creak. Yixing crawls on top of him, partially because he wants to, and partly because there isn’t really space for two to lie down.
His lips are warm against Jongdae’s still-human skin, but it’s not a natural warmth; he can feel the buzzing of electricity, but that’s kind of a turn-on anyway. “You going to me?” He asks lazily, hand sliding up to rest in the small of Yixing’s back.
“If it’ll knock you out and stop you , yes.” He drops a kiss on Jongdae’s neck, enjoying the weird pulsing of both blood and electricity there. “You want me to?”
Jongdae’s chest rumbles with a laugh. “God, yes.”
