Hi, I am letmemakeyousmile, Aya for short lol. Although I'm fairly new to AFF, I've read many stories where authors can improve on their writing. It kills me to read such an amazing storyline but I have no idea what I'm reading. I know, kind of contradicting, isn't it? So I've decided to create a Review Cafe for all of you writers who want/need criticism from someone.

Let me tell you right off the bat before I begin. I too am not a perfectionist in writing. I sometimes have difficult times trying to improve my writing skills. This is a Cafe where I express my opinions of a story. Of course, grammar and conventions are definite non-opinionated parts to writing. However, these reviews will be something what I think will help improve your writing. 

Writing is something that everyone is capable of doing.  You need to remember that there is no "bad" writing. There are writings that are incomplete and underdeveloped but that doesn't mean that they are bad. I'm here to guide you. Not to tear you apart. Don't take it personally. If  I give you a low score, it does not mean that you're a horrible person. Don't feel like that. Whatever is written in your story is just a piece of writing. It's not you nor you personality. What I'm trying to say is, separate yourself from your writing because I don't want you crying while you read my reviews. I am here to help you improve as a writer. Deal?

Review Rubric;

(A score of 100 points with 7 categories)

Title (5): Is it eye-catching to the reader? Is it relevant to the story?

Foreword/Description (10): Does it hint what the story will be about? Does it catch the

reader's attention?

Plot (30): Does the story develop as it continues? Is it entertaining to read? Do I get bored?

Character Development (25): How do the characters change throughout the story? 

Fluency (15): Does the story as a whole flow well? Are there any awkward parts? Is your style of writing

easy to follow?

Appearance (5): How does your story look? I will look at font, sizing, color, and organization. If

there is a poster/background, I will look at that too.

Conventions (10): Any grammatical errors? Puntcuation? Spelling? 

Comments: General things as a simple, regular AFF reader.
