*Chapter 2;

 

It was 7:30 already when Chanyeol checked his wrist watch, he'd be leaving the hospital in half an hour or so.

He had explored all around the hospital by now before his actual work started tomorrow. He was admiring the beautiful pink and white flowers in the hospital's garden while walking around the building, People could easily forget all about their problems and stresses in this place.

Chanyeol noticed a very beautiful girl with long hair in the middle of the garden, caressing the flowers and lightly sniffing them. Smiling, he approached the young girl and bent down near the flowers "Hello there" he said kindly,

"Hi" The girl didn't look up from the flowers and kept on caressing them "Onnie is here! Onnie will take care of you" she mumbled to the flowers, "Onnie loves you"

"What's your name?" Chanyeol asked,

"Onnie's been bad girl! She has to be punished. She didn't water the flowers today"

"I see!" Chanyeol said lightly and leaned in closer "So are the flowers sad now? What are they telling you?"

"Onnie needs to water them good! Or they'll die of thirst. But-- But onnie loves them! Onnie loves them! Onnie would never leave them" She started shaking her head as looking at the flowers "Onnie would never abandon them" her tears started to fall from her eyes and she clentched on one of the flowers, nearly crumbling it,

"Hey hey hey! now you're hurting them. Look! They love you, but you shouldn't do this" Chanyeol lightly said and held her hand "Why don't you caress them like you were before?"

"Onnie would always caress them and sing them goodnight! Onnie loves them. They're onnie's only friends"

"Wow! lucky you, I wish I had flower friends too. But you shouldn't hurt them like that anymore... Let's water them together, hm? what do you say?"

"Water friends?" the girl smiled,

"Yes! Let's water our friends so they won't be thirsty anymore"

The girl kept on smiling as her tears dropped "You've been a bad girl Taeyeon, you have to be punished! No more flowers, no more! YOU'LL STAY IN YOUR ROOM MISS, ENOUGH OF THIS FLOWER " She kept on screaming "No please" she cried "Please don't smash them! You're hurting them!"

Chanyeol just watched the girl as she cried, she reached out and held her hand "Taeyeon! Your name means calm, did you know? A girl like you shouldn't be here" he mumbled the last words and slowly brought his hand to wipe the girl's tears from her soft pale cheek,

"Onnie couldn't protect them! 'ONNIE HELP US' they said, 'IT HURTS, AH WE'RE HURTING SO MUCH ONNIE' they're calling me. Onnie couldn't move! But Onnie loves them, Onnie remembers them! All of them! But Onnie doesn't deserve them, 'You've been a bad girl Taeyeon! Bad bad girl. You have to be punished" she growled as if she was imitating someone,

"That's not true Taeyeon-ah! You tried your best, I'm sure They're proud of you"

"Attention dear staff! Please make sure to have all the patients back into their cells before the doors go to lockdown! 

Patients should be in their cells within the next 10 minutes"

Chanyeol looked p at the microphone that just announced that the patients should be back in their rooms then looked down at Taeyeon who was looking down at the flowers in silence. Smiling, he patted her back "Taeyeon-ah! It's time to say goodnight for now to them" he said calmly,

"But-- they'll think Onnie will leave them like last night! They'll be sad!" Taeyeon said in panick,

"Not if you promise them that you'll come back tomorrow! Like you always do, right?"

"Onnie will come! Onnie will keep watching you from the window till she sleeps, Onnie will protect them in her sleep!" She kept nodding to herself as she said every single sentence, as if both her and the flower's lives depended on it,

"That's really good Taeyeon! Now they're happy, see? Come on! Let me take you to your cell" he slowly helped taeyeon up and wrapped his arm slowly around the girl's slim shoulders, taking her inside the building.

He was met with different staffs of the hospital, taking the patients back into their rooms, some patients were going in themselves. "Which cell are you in?"

"We'll take good care of Taeyeon, we will! She will be safe with Sulli in cell 30! Her cell has a view of our garden" Taeyeon bowed as if she was talking to someone in front of her,

"So cell 30 it is" Chanyeol nodded and walked with her through the halls "Here we are!" he smiled "Go on in and sleep well Taeyeon" he waved at her. Taeyeon quickly ran to the small window in her cell and waved at the flowers in front of her that could be seen in the garden, she didn't even answer Chanyeon back, though of course Chanyeol didn't mind it. He just chuckled lightly and went away.

He just had to go to his office to take out his uniform and get his stuff to go home. His legs felt like they went frozen when he reached cell 21 as he heard an angelic voice softly singing inside the cell.

'That song-- it's so-- familiar... Where did I hear this before?'

Leaning against the wall he listened to the smooth voice; It was as if the person was singing for him! He didn't know why, but he just felt he should listen to the song...

A tear dropped from Chanyeol's brown eyes as he held on the wall tight, panting. some nurses were giving him looks, mumbling 'What's wrong with him?' to themselved but Chanyeol didnt' care, that song was too damn familliar to him. 

He quickly turned to the door to open it and go inside but a loud beep voice came from all the cell doors, indicating that they were all in lockdown now.

"No" Chanyeol mumbled and looked inside from the hatch inside the cell, his eyes widened at the sight of the person he saw "Baekhyun?" it was that Baekhyun kid from earlier. He was leaning on his bed's headbord playing with his fingers. There was another boy who was sleeping peacefully on the upper bed, Chanyeol couldn't really see his face clearly from the covers.

Chanyeol was mesmerized by how one's voice could be so amazing, he just wanted to hear him singing again and again, he wanted to hear that voice again so badly.

"Doctor Park? What are you doing here?"

"huh?" Chanyeol jumped away from the door and turned to see Miss Kim standing in front of him "Oh sorry! I-- I was just-- Baekhyun was singin--"

"--Oh! He sang? Of course! It was today, wasn't it?" she smiled at herself, 

Chanyeol frowned lightly at her "What was today?" he asked,

"Ah!" Miss Kim smiled and waved her hand "Nothing! It's just that, Baekhyun sings this one song once a year on this date. I completely forgot it was today" 

Chanyeol bit his inner cheek and looked inside from the hatch at Baekhyun again "Is there any spesific reason for that?"

Miss Kim shook her head "I don't really know! But his voice is amazing, right? He really should've became a singer if he wasn't here" she said in a sad tone and sighed "Anyway! I'm heading home now Doctor Park! I'll see you tomorrow" she smiled, Chanyeol smiled back and nodded at her "Sure thing" he smiled.

 

Chanyeol arrived at his apartment, tossing his bag aside and sighing loudly! His apartment was pitch black, only the small amount of street lights and the moonlight was helping him actually see his way and not trip off, he slowly walked inside the hall to look for the light switch when suddenly it got ,

"SURPRISEEEEEE!!" A bunch of people appeared in front of Chanyeol, blowing the party poppers and surrounding Chanyeol with colorful strings, Chanyeo smiled widely while pulling the strings away from his hair "haha guys? what is--"

Yuri appeared in front of him from the crowd and wrapped her arms around the taller's neck "Happy birthday sweetie" she smiled and pecked Chanyeol's lips,

"Oh God! I can't believe you guys did this" Chanyeol smiled and palmed his face,

"Yah! You didn't think we'd forget now, did you?"

"Jongin-Ah" Chanyeol beamed and hugged his friend "Happy birthday man!" Jongin said and pulled back,

"Long time, No see! How old are you now?" a small doe eyed boy appeard from the crowd and hit Chanyeol's shoulder "KYUNGIEEE" Chanyeol beamed and hugged the shorter male "Agh I don't know! I've probably grown too old" he laughed, everyone laughed along,

"NOW THAT THE PARTY BOY IS HERE, LET'S DANCE EVERYONE!" A guy shouted and everyone beamed, the music started playing loudly and everyone started dancing like there was no tomorrow,

"I can't believe you remembered" Chanyeol smiled at Yuri and wrapped his arm around his girlfriend's shoulder.

"How could I possibly forget the most precious man's birthday?" she smiled and leaned into Chanyeol's ear, whispering "I'm saving your birthday gift for later" 

"I'd look forward to it" Chanyeol smiled deeply at her,

"Let's dance nowww" She cheered and dragged Chanyeol to the crowd and dancing with her boyfriend, Chanyeol was greeting everyone he saw as he was dancing and celebrating his birthday.

 

 

Baekhyun was looking up at the shining moonlight from his cell, caressing the window with his palm,

 

Flashback

 

"Happy birthday babyyy" Baekhyun beamed and hugged Chanyeol tight, Chanyeol hugged him back as tight and pulled away with a pout "Yah! Baekkie don't call me baby! I top"

Baekhyun widened his eyes and blushed "YAH! Don't talk about these things, ottoke" he mumbled and looked around himself to make sure no one heard, Chanyeol laughed at him and pecked his cheek "Thanks for remembering Baek" 

Baekhyun quickly smiled and kissed the taller's cheek too "You expected me to forget? Pabo! Don't you dare forget my birthday, arrasso?"

"Araa! I only remember your birthday!" he beamed "So where's my present?" 

"Ahh!! Well abou that-- I wanted to sing something for you Channie!!"

"Chinjaa?? Cool~ You composed it?"

Baekhyun pouted "Yah! Who am I? Mozart?? No, it's just that this song always reminds me of you" he smiled, Chanyeol grinned and pinched the bridge of his nose "Alright alright! Come on then, I'm waiting"

"Ehem! Okay" Baekhyun cleared his throat and took a deep breath, starting to sing,

Chanyeol wiped a tear from his eye and sniffed, Baekhyun shrugged cutely "I just like this song"   Chanyeol sobbed "Baekkieee! Your voice is awesome" Chanyeol thumbed up "You should always sing for me and ONLY ME" he demanded and pulled Baekhyun for a hug,   Baekhyun hugged him back "You're the only one who likes my voice anyway" he mumbled,   "But Baekkie! Sing happy songs for me, this song was so sad" Chanyeol pouted "It keeps talking about a guy leaving his lover"   "It's just a song Channie" Baekhyun said and looked up at the taller "But you'll never leave me, right?"   "YAH! Don't dare even thinking about it Mister" Chanyeon said and cupped Baekhyun's face "I love you Baekkie, so much"   Baekhyun smiled deeply at him "I love you too Channie! I'll never leave you either" he said and pecked Chanyeol's cheek,   "Wrong place!" Chanyeol smirked and pulled Baekhyun's lips into a deep loving kiss.     End of Flashback     Baekhyun's tears dropped and he kept looking at the sky "Channie-ah! Saengil Chukkae" he whispered.
