Use of Korean Words

What to Do and What Not to Do in Fanfictions

Annyeong. Aish. Oppa. Hyung. Jinjja.  Etc.

Stop. Right. Now.

Fanfics may take place in Korea but does NOT mean that it requires for you to use their language.

Some people don't even know what the some of these words mean!

If the story is in English then keep it that way.

Just... do it. It'll make everything a lot less complicated and awkward. It ruins the flow of the fanfic and makes the writing ability of the author questionable.

Every single one of these rant fanfics I have looked into, all of them have stressed this repeatedly

For the readers' sakes, leave it out. It'll be advantageous for the both of you.

Chapter 3: Hmm, this is interesting and I guess it differs from one to another. I personally like author's notes a lot. I truly feel like most of the time, authors don't really want us to hold them in a high pedestal. Instead, they might just want to be friendly with the people who read their stories. It's a 'fans-to-fans' place and I personally feel so good getting to know the fellow fans. I hope that makes sense lol. And also, I might be weird but I love it when authors use the background and poster feature to set the mood of the story.

Chapter 3: I think it's okay if users want to add a little color to their fics, but nothing too bright or blinding -__- Thank God they included a Enable Reader mode thing where you can disable brightly colored text ^^ Really comes in handy. I think soft colors should be fine though, like a soft shades of red or something...that's what I sometimes use :3

As for the pictures I'm against using them. I like describing them, so readers can visualize better rather then staring at an image.

Chapter 8: Though plot is important, so is characterization. Yes, a good story can be written without describing the characters much, but lack of characterization can bore me easily.

Chapter 5: Personally, I dislike when people write something like [Jongup Oneshot] C.R.E.A.M
We'll know from the tags, you don't need to tell us!

Chapter 1: Do you know what is awful? When people don't know when to use the comma instead of the ellipsis. I've seen fics that would go something like:
(I can't think of anything, so I'll just use an example with a name)
"I love you ... Jongdae"

Chapter 4: I understand the punctuation one though cause that really is annoying.
