Background: Kalila grew up with her father in a small two bedroom apartment. Her mother had abandoned them when she was just 5 for another man who made her mother "better off than she was now". Left without her mother, her father found it hard to cope. He worked two jobs and was constantly out looking for more just to provide for his little daughter. As much as she wanted to quit school and help out with the household payments her father convinced her to continue with her studies so she didn't end up living like they did now.
Later on in life, she graduated from one fo the most prestigious beauty schools in China and was now working as Beyonce's make up artist. She had worked hard to reach that status and she was sure that her father was proud of her. She was sending weekly payments to her father to help with the rent and bills, for which he was greatful for. Not long ago, Kalila was sent a letter from her mother. Her mother wanted to get back in contact with her and was sorry for what she did to her father. Her mother informed her that she was now living in Korea and offered to house her for a while, just so they can get to know each other again.
Personality: Kalila, as a young child, was a bright, bubbly and fun girl. She was always up for a game and could never sit still. However, after her mother left, she became more introverted and quiet. Her grades dropped in school and one by one her friends turned their backs and walked away from her. She would often escape to a quiet place under a willow tree by a river with her fathers fishing gear and just sit their, enjoying the peace and quiet she didn't experience at school. Her father saw his energetic daughter turn into a cold and withdrawn stanger he had never met. She would often throw tantrums, yelling at her father and telling him that her mother was going to come home one day, and that when she does she would go with her and never come back.
As she got older, she accepted the fact that her mother was never going to return and changed. Her personality was now somewhere between the two. Sure, she still had fun and was sweet and kind but when she was on her own she would draw back into her shell and become mute. She was happy with the way she was as she felt like she wasn't letting anyone down. She still pushed away some people, claiming that they just weren't good friends but she only told herslef that so she wouldn't see that the real problem there was her.
When she graduated from the beauty school she felt her confidence rise, and she felt like she had a place in the world. She opened up to people more and decided not to let anything get her down. People were now drawn to her and not scared or wary of her. She was loved my most and admired by many. She became cheerful and fixed the rip in her relationship she had caused between herself and her father from her childhood.

Jihyun acts sweet around everyone except for Kalila. She is kind to little children and looks after everyone. She will talk to anyone and is always there if they need help. Jihyun is very popular with all ages and she will make an effort to look her best to impress everyone. She dress to wow people and never stops surprising people with her unique style.
Although around Kalila she is the complete opposite. Her eyes would blaze with hatred and she would do anything to embarass her. She will make demands that seem impossible and make her do them. She would sneer at her and mimic everything she says in an annoying high pitched voice. If people suddenly show up she turns all sickly sweet but when they aren't looking she will through glares at Kalila.
How you met:
Kalila and Jihyun met when Kalila had just left the coffee shop after meeting with Chanyeol when Jihyun tried to come through at the same time and they collided. Kalila's coffee went all over Jihyun's new white shirt and left a giant brown stain. No matter how many times Kalila apologised and offered to get a new one Jihyun would just glare at her. She ended up settling for making Kalila do everything for her and come at her beck and call.
How you two interact with each other:
Kalila treats Jihyun with respect and a little fear while Jihyun just treats Kalila with downright disgust. She looks down upon Kalila and she will badmouth her at any chance she gets. Kalila is too afraid of Jihyun to say anything bad about her. Plus, Kalila feels sorry for for ruining her shirt so she tries to make it up to her by helping her out.
Why are you rivals?
They are rivals because Jihyun doesn't like the way Kalila acts. Kalila is everything Jihyun wants to be. Although she doesn't know it, Kalila has everything Jihyun wants. She's kind to everyone and speaks nicely to everyone without sounding fake. She is genuinely sweet and has that charm that everyone is drawn to. Jihyun believes that everyone only likes her because she's famous.
Kalila doesn't really like Jihyun either but isn't as open or forward about it. She doesn't like Jihyun because normal people would accept an apology striaght away but Jihyun didn't. Instead, she decided to keep it going and get as much out of it as she can. Kalila can tell that she is trying to break her stride. But she will not let this get her down and fights to keep the same mindset that she had before she met Jihyun. She decides to just kill her with kindness, liek you would with any bully.
