Your Fate, My Destiny... InuYashaxKagomexKoga

Description

Hi!! ^^ This is just something I wrote a longggggg time ago... Enjoy! ^^

Foreword

“They say that your life flashes before you, before you die.” The voice trailed off before she could say anything. “Wait! What are you talking about?” It all went black.

She woke up in the tree in his arms. “Inuyasha?” she spoke softly. She looked up and saw his face filled with excitement and want. She rubbed her eyes, still groggy from the sudden waking. His eyes were more golden then the rising sun and his hands trembled as he spoke “Kagome…. Will you marry me?” Inuyasha’s eyes were calm now. His shoulders have relaxed as well. Kagome was now fully awake as she had heard him say this in her dreams. “I’m not ready for marriage yet so let me think.” Kagome said.

InuYasha was impatient and he was worried on what his precious Kagome was going to say. He had waited half the day pacing around Kaede’s hut and asking the patient Kagome on what she would say or when she would respond. Each response was something along these lines: “Later” or “Can you even let me think?!?!” He was so impatient, but I’m sure if it was me in his shoes I would be impatient as well. By the end of the day she was ready to tell InuYasha “Yes.” She wanted him to wait. She was going to say yes anyways, she just wanted him to wait, just to a bit. She walked over to InuYasha, who was sleeping. “He must be tired.” She thought. She gently woke him up and he immediately asked, “Do you have your answer Kagome?” He asked frantically. “Yes. And it’s yes.” She said as he embraced her.

Kagome and InuYasha sat in the hut sitting next to each other lost in each other’s gaze. They waited for Sango and Miroku to show up to eat. A few minutes of waiting brought Sango and Miroku in the hut. They all sat and told stories while Kagome made dinner. “Once I asked the most beautiful girl in the world to marry me. She only told me yes, after our long journey and battle was over. Then we married and are still loved by each other to this day.” Miroku started. “Oh please Monk. How many times are you going to tell them this story?” Sango piped up. “Only until they start a family of their own.” Miroku chimed in.  InuYasha cleared his throat. “Everyone shut up and listen. Kagome has agreed to marry me now we can have a new story to tell!” InuYasha’s gaze turned to Kagome’s smiling face.

Until the very end of the day, Koga came looking for Kagome. He hadn’t seen her in awhile so he thought he could pay her a friendly visit. He smelled her with that mutt, he could tell. ‘I hope Kagome will be happy to see me!’  He ran faster at this thought and saw them together in a tree side by side. Koga landed on InuYasha, and grasped Kagome’s hands as soon as he pounced up the tree. “Get off of me wolf boy!” InuYasha demanded. “Koga! How nice it is to see you again!” She hugged him and Koga blushed. “Kagome I see you still haven’t given up on mutt face over here. But one day you’ll see!” Koga looked happy. “You know what? Let me take you to see just how much I love you!” She was swept from InuYasha’s side and was in Koga’s firm grasp. She was in the Wolf Demon Tribes home in less than an hour, only one thing. Why on Earth did he take her!?! Koga put her down softly. “Koga what th-?” “Kagome… I love you. Way more than that mutt.” Koga said softly. “Koga there is no way that’s you.” Kagome said as she noticed there is something wrong. Koga moved closer to her as she inched into a corner. There was no stopping him until InuYasha came bursting in. “Get away from her wolf!” He pulled out the Tetsaiga and swung, just barely missing Koga, and cut Kagome’s ankle. She screamed and tears were rolling down her face she grasped her ankle in pain. “See you mutt look what you did to MY Kagome.” InuYasha glanced at Kagome and bolted towards her.

“Kagome.” InuYasha whispered.  InuYasha looked at the wolf with teary eyes. “You mangy wolf, look at her, you made me do this. Now die wolf!” InuYasha yelled. “What’s wrong mutt? Can’t take a cut to ankle? You did this so it’s your fault, not mine you klutz.” Koga teased. “Stop it you two! I’m fine.” she struggled to get back up. “Koga never touch Kagome EVER!” InuYasha screamed as he dashed towards the wolf. “Chill mutt. She was fine with it.” Koga said as he dodged his attack “Koga! I was NOT fine with it. Just stop!” She turned and blushed. “It’s ok Kagome he’s lying.” InuYasha whispered. InuYasha cracked his fingers and dashed towards Koga. “Stay still so I can slice that throat out! Here I come!”. Koga turned around and he grabbed Kagome. They burst out of the cave and ran fast through the woods.

She needed to get bandaged up before her cut bled more. It was already half way down her foot. Koga jumped out the cave soon followed by InuYasha. “Just come and get me mutt!” Koga yelled and dashed into the trees. He was gone, that’s all InuYasha thought. He was nowhere in sight. But then he remembered that he could mind talk with Kagome. ‘Kagome?’ He said in his head. “Inuyasha?” she said aloud. Koga seemed to have heard it. “Still thinking about that mutt? After I am finished with you he will never cross your mind.” He smirked.

‘Inuyasha?’ she said in her mind confused.  ‘Kagome I need you to tell me where you’re at.’ InuYasha asked. ‘Inuyasha? How did you do that? I can smell you. I think. But boy! You need a bath.’ She said in surprise that she could actually smell him.  ‘Good I can finally kill him. And hey! Whats wrong with my scent? I smell like a rose.’ InuYasha smiled at this remark. ‘Ok, Mr. Rose boy. Wait. InuYasha I don’t think this is Koga.’ Kagome said in reassurance ‘What do mean? I knew he would do something like this.’ InuYasha protested. ‘What I mean is, his icy blue eyes aren’t always so sinister, their usually calm.’ ‘Do you think this has to do with Naraku?’ Kagome asked. ‘Never! I always knew that mangy wolf would try something like this!’  ‘He wouldn’t! I know he wouldn’t, he wouldn’t do this unless he knew I wanted to. ’ She answered.  ‘Kagome do you think you could distract him until I get there?’ InuYasha depended on her answer. ‘Yes I think so.’ That was the last of their conversation. A distraction. With Naraku in disguise, he would do whatever it takes to make sure we don’t figure it out. Got it! “Koga- kun I have to pee. Could you stop?” she really had to pee though, so it was a perfect plan. “Of course Kagome.”  He stopped and let her down. She found a tree and peed. InuYasha was close she could taste him. Just then Koga was antsy. He must have sensed InuYasha.  “Kagome hurry.” Koga said softly. Then InuYasha jumped out of the brush and landed swiftly on his feet.

“Naraku! Stop hiding come out and fight!” InuYasha was furious. What he had done to Kagome was unforgivable. “So InuYasha you have found me.” Naraku chuckled. His form soon changed back to normal. “Well I see your almost “mate” here was enjoying herself. With me trying to take her away from you.” He smirked. ‘This can’t be good.’ InuYasha muttered. ‘Kagome try to keep in touch with the mind talk.’  ‘Ok I will try’.

Naraku spewed miasma and Kagome’s cut must have gotten some of the miasma in it so she screamed and fell with one hand on her ankle. InuYasha knew if he didn’t do something the miasma would enter her blood stream and it couldn’t be stopped. “Naraku here I come!” InuYasha was furiously screaming and said, “WIND SCAR!” The yellow light came from his sword and out onto his hand cutting it off where the Sacred Jewel is nested. Kagome thought ‘If only I could purify it he would die’.

She reached for an arrow aimed and shot.  She had closed her eyes just so if she missed she wouldn’t see death coming. There was a bright light and of course that meant it hit the jewel. “Is that it you pitiful hanyou? I expected more.” He died laughing.  ‘Kagome?’  ‘I got him we finally got hi-‘ There was no finishing that sentence from Kagome, she had fainted. ‘Kagome?’ InuYasha was worried especially since they were farther away from each other.

Kagome’s arrow had  purified the miasma. And it became clear. InuYasha went to go look for Kagome and eventually he found her with a bow in her hand and arrows and her body lying against a tree next to Naraku’s dissipating body.

He picked her and the Jewel up and ran to Kaede’s and being cautious of the miasma spewing out of her ankle. He thought, ‘ Maybe Kaede can help.’ When he got there he went inside sat down and laid Kagome in his lap. “Kaede. We beat Naraku but earlier but before that I accidentally cut her and then when we were fighting he spread out miasma and it got into her leg and and-” “Calm down InuYasha I can fix it.” Inuyasha’s shoulders relaxed and he sat Kagome next to Kaede and put a hand on her side. “I can purify the miasma . It shouldn’t be hard.”

Kaede took off Kagome’s shoe  and put her hands over the cut. “Chi. Yo. Fu. Yai. ZEN!” the cut started to heal as pink aura purified the miasma. Kagome’s eyes flickered open. “InuYasha where are we?” her brown pool eyes were dull as she tried to sit up, and look around. “Don’t force yourself we beat Naraku. Lay back down.”  His eyes were pure gold as he stares at her ankle. But she insisted on sitting up. So InuYasha laid her on his shoulder and leaned in. “Kagome, I am sorry.” He whispered softly into her ear.

“For what? You shouldn’t be.” She smiled and looked into his golden eyes. Kaede pulled her hands back and said, “ Kagome the miasma is strong so I have to push it up through your body and out through your mouth, which means you are going to have to throw it up.” InuYasha had a crazed look on his face and disagreed. “ I will NOT let Kagome be forced like that there has to be something else we can do!” he had a worried look now.  “ Kagome subdue him we have to do it there is no other way.” She whispered. “Hai.” She turned to InuYasha and said, “Sorry InuYasha….. OSWAURI!” his necklace pulled and tugged and he finally hit the floor.

“Kagome don’t you dare do what that old hag tells you to do!” he was trying to get up and Kagome saw so she said “OSWAURI, OSWAURI, OSWAURI OSWAURI!!!!”  He cursed underneath his breath. They walked out and towards a tree.

“Kagome you ready?” she nodded and Kaede chanted, ”Nami kan san rel un zen al YIS!.” Kagome gagged and turned to see InuYasha running towards her. She opened and she screamed, “OSWAU-“ then she blood came spurting out with the miasma and it dissipated into the air. She fell to the ground and laid there. Kagome didn’t get up. “ Kagome? Are you okay?” InuYasha was panicking.

“Kaede what did you do to her?!?!” InuYasha snarled. “ I did nothing to hurt the girl. She’s just paralyzed. Ye need not to worry. Do not move her at all. Keep her here, protect her.” Kaede managed to utter. Kaede stood and walked back to the hut. “InuYasha are you okay? You look worried.” Kagome managed. InuYasha looked down at her and stared into her dull chocolate eyes. “Kagome? Oh you scared me! I thought you were gone!” InuYasha said with a tear running down his cheek.

He smelled…. Wolf. They could see the tornado of dust and dirt heading towards them.

“Koga? What are you doing here?” asked a curious Kagome sitting up. “Yeah what are you doing here wolf? You aren’t welcome here with your fleas.” InuYasha said with a disgusted look.

“Watch your tone mutt! I smelled Kagome’s blood. It was quite a large amount too.” Koga said smoothly. “Koga…. You know InuYasha is short tempered. He hasn’t told me about his marking yet. But it hurts.” Kagome was stopped by Inuyasha’s hand covering . Koga’s sky blue eyes went wide with joy. “So that means…” Koga stopped to think to himself. He looked back at Kagome with longing eyes. “Koga don’t think about trying anything with Kagome!” InuYasha had his hand on the sheath of Tetsuiga. “Inuyasha please don’t. He was worried. He can’t help it.

Koga took Kagome hands. “Kagome be mine. Please. You know I have more feelings for you than that mutt. Love me. Just try to.” Koga said with love. Kagome’s eyes went wide. She knew InuYasha still had feelings for Kikyo. She knew that very well. But she didn’t know why he always was late for lunch.

Now she did. He was out seeing Kikyo. Even after he marked her he still did it. So she wondered. ‘Does he still have feelings for Kikyo?’. He couldn’t, he was her mate and he couldn’t do that. Or least that what she thought.

InuYasha pulled out the Tetsaiga and thrashed at Kagome and cut her arm. “Sorry Kagome, but if you didn’t realize this before I was never your mate. I was always working with Kikyo against you. You took the Jewel for yourself and purified it from this world.  Didn’t you know I wanted to be a full demon?”  Kagome fell to the floor, and Koga ran and picked her up and ran off at top speed. He didn’t know why InuYasha did that but he didn’t care that he never loved Kagome. Now was his chance to get Kagome to be his own.

With that on his mind he ran for the tribe. After some hours jumping and running, they finally got there and just in time too. Kagome was in need of some serious help. One of the elders were sure to help Kagome. They all loved her since Koga and her rid of those Birds of Paradise, the tribe’s worst enemy other than InuYasha (more than ever now since he had used Kagome for the Jewel.)

Koga met up with Hakaku and Ginta at the front while they were on guard at the front of the cave. As soon as they saw Kagome they quickly rushed to her side. “Koga! What happened to Sis?” they both asked anxiously. “It was that stupid mutt InuTrasha’s fault. He used her to get the jewel from her. He had it planned all along. He didn’t even mark her any ways. He just bit her. Look.” He said sorry to the unconscious Kagome and moved the collar of her shirt down a tad. There were deep red marks in her neck and it looked very painful.

Koga went inside and set her down in his chamber and left to go get one of the elder healers, Kutaru to help Kagome’s wounds. He walked with Kutaru in silence until they reached Koga’s chambers. Koga showed Kutaru her wounds and he began to work almost immediately. He first worked on her leg since it had no treatment after Kaede’s help with the miasma. He simply tied a cloth around it and gave it a pull to keep it from bleeding out any more than it already had.

He then helped her arm which was unfortunately more severe than her ankle. He wrapped bandages with ointment all around until the bandage was secure. Kagome woke up a bit after her wounds were done and Kutaru left with many thanks from Koga. Koga was happy to see Kagome up so he rushed to see her from the other side of the chamber. Kagome sat in sadness as if she hadn’t out at all after being cut from Tetsaiga. Then something hit her, he NEVER truly loved her did he? That was hate and anger piled up all in one tiny sentence. He WAS cutting her on purpose. He WAS going to die whether he wants it or not, he deserved it anyways.

Why would someone love someone then push them away for a stupid Jewel? Obviously InuYasha does and he would NEVER cross Kagome’s sight again unless he wanted to die.

Back with InuYasha ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

InuYasha burst out of the tree tops and was very close to what he wanted. “Kikyo!” he saw her and landed on his feet in front of her. “I have what you want with two not just one injury dealt to OUR target.” InuYasha was referring to Kagome. “Good. Now we could be the most powerful couple in the world.” Kikyo was happy. HER plan was going great. Use InuYasha’s  longing for Kikyo to betray Kagome then take the Jewel for herself.  Kikyo never liked Kagome because she knew that she had won half of the hanyou’s heart. She is in love with InuYasha and decided that what is left of InuYasha’s feelings for Kagome would be perished with the Jewel.

So now that Kagome killed Naraku, Kikyo’s target was Kagome’s heart to be torn in pieces. Kikyo thought in her mind that Kagome deserved to feel the same pain that Kikyo suffered when Naraku tore InuYasha and Kikyo’s relationship apart. Kikyo was supposed let Naraku feel pain too, but since he’s dead she has Kagome to target. This is also ok to her because she was actually going for the both of them.

“Kikyo what should we do now?” InuYasha was walking closer to her and pulled the undead priest into his arms. “InuYasha I have another thing for you, kill Koga. The last of Kagome’s hope for love again.” Kikyo said to him in his ear. He pulled back like he smelt something horrible. He was excited. He has always wanted Koga dead ever since he popped into the picture. Only because he knew that Kagome had feelings for that flea bag ever since then.

He confirmed that he heard her with a nod. “I will be back with a wolf head.” He turned with a smirk.

He jumped into the tree nearest to the cave that Koga resided in. He sat in the front with Kagome sleeping in his lap softly. The only thing between InuYasha and his target was a clear streaming river that looked like it was cleaned every week by professionals. InuYasha straightened up and watched them quietly like a tiger stalking its prey.

Back with Koga and Kagome-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kagome awoke to a blue pair of eyes staring down at her. She smiled and sat up. Koga had been there every second of the day to help Kagome with her injuries. Koga always knew that Kagome was tough but she could use help when it’s needed like any other average Joe.

She sat up and stood carefully to avoid taking any slight damage to her ankle. She stepped over Koga’s leg and sat in front of him. “Koga, thanks for taking care of me. I really think you are the kindest person in the Feudal Era.” She smiled. Koga was truly in love with her and he showed no embarrassment for others to know it either, for that is what Kagome loves about Koga. He is true to his heart, and boy, does it show.

Koga smiled and returned to the conversation, “Kagome, I wish I could have gotten to your heart before that mutt, you are the sweetest girl I have ever met and will ever meet in my life time.” Koga said with a smile like an angel. They were talking until Hakaku ran inside with some urgent news. “Koga! It’s him.”

Back with InuYasha-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was about time, InuYasha thought. He was sitting in the tree trying to be noticed for hours it seemed. He thought now that the tribe was really dumb if they haven’t noticed him even with the biggest noise and movement in an obvious tree. But the dumb one was InuYasha. He was noticed long ago before he was trying to be noticed. Hakaku was watching him from the corner of his eye, just to make sure he wasn’t being suspicious. Hakaku finally decided to tell Koga because he was getting worried.

InuYasha could see Hakaku talking to Koga. Koga’s face could be seen from here and InuYasha thought if Koga could see his face he would crack up laughing. Koga stood and faced the tree that InuYasha was standing in. He walked over to the edge of the creek and yelled, “Come and fight ugly!” Koga was furious. It was obvious that he wasn’t alone because here comes little Kagome with her bow and arrow without the slightest look of fear on her face. InuYasha jumped down from his tree and walked to his side of the creek.

Back to Koga-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I thought you would never notice me flea bag!” InuYasha was tormenting him. “Who cares as long as you die mutt it doesn’t matter. Now stay still so I won’t miss.” It was now Kagome’s turn to say something. She pulled her arrow to her bow without InuYasha noticing and fired. It pierced his arm and he fell. This was InuYasha’s time to get Kagome. “Kagome? Why?” he said falsely. She showed no sign of changing her facial expression, which InuYasha thought that he had failed. “I won’t miss your heart next time!” Kagome yelled.

With Kikyo----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kikyo was in the forest picking herbs for their dinner. When she heard InuYasha  yelp in pain. Kikyo rushed to the scene to see Kagome loading her bow with her arrows.  She let go of the basket and loaded her bow. Lucky for Kagome, Koga noticed her and jumped the creek and cut her. She dropped to the ground holding her shoulder which was fading away with the winds fierce blow. She looked up just in time to look Kagome in the eye and see the true hatred that had formed so fast to InuYasha. She looked at InuYasha who was in pain and she managed to stand and run to him. Koga was already back to Kagome and watched her fire three arrows at InuYasha with fierce strong spiritual power that even Kikyo couldn’t beat.

Unfortunately the Jewel used as a barrier to shield the two from the arrows. But then again the arrows were too strong for the barrier to withstand so they went through to pierce the couple. They weren’t dead, but they were severely damaged. InuYasha managed to pick Kikyo up with the last of his strength and dash away before Kagome could launch another attack.

Koga and Kagome were standing at the creek discussing their victory. “Did you see InuYasha beg on his knees? You should’ve seen his face! Ha.” Kagome cracked. “Did you see Kikyo going to save her boyfriend? Priceless!” Koga chuckled. It got silent after the two cracked a few more. It was dusk and it was a long, tiring day for both of them. They stared into each other’s eyes and felt like they had all the time in the world to stare forever into their eyes.

Kagome broke the silence by grabbing Koga’s hand by surprise and skipped happily inside, with him trailing behind laughing like he’s never laughed before. Kagome skipped with Koga all the way to his chambers. They sat around a started campfire. Koga was the one to speak first. “Kagome… I feel really happy you’re here. If I could say anything now, to you, I feel like I can say it.” The fire lit Koga’s face. The fire crackled. He cleared his throat and spoke clearly. “Kagome, you know I have always loved you, and now it feels strengthened by adding your love to me. Will… Will you let me mark you Kagome?” he asked a little shaky.

Kagome was now wide awake after Koga’s speech. Mark? As his own?  Was she ready? Yes she loved him so much she would dump a movie star for Koga. But was she ready for this? It was a big step and yet, she hasn’t even gone out with him. But she still loves him. But can Koga be trusted unlike InuYasha? Her heart would break if he was using her like InuYasha did. But she gave it a go. She spoke in a reply, “Of course.” Koga pulled her into his muscle firm arms and hugged her. He finally got Kagome instead of that mangy mutt. To Koga, she was better than the Jewel, or in fact anything.

Koga moved her shirt collar down enough to see her shoulder and nibbled there. Then he bit softly. He didn’t want to hurt Kagome. But REAL marking isn’t as bad as being bitten. He pulled away and looked at Kagome’s face and not a single tear on her face just smiles and giggles filled inside of her.

Koga knew this was his Kagome now. No one else’s, but now Kagome has more responsibilities with the pack. Like: washing dishes, cooking meals for the pack, making clothing, and by tomorrow she will be a wolf demon like Koga. The transformation takes time and doesn’t really change anything, but the ears and clothing.

Maybe with a tail too, but otherwise it’s still plain old Kagome. But also being a demon now means she has more than just bows and arrows, but claws and fangs. Not only that, but she has speed like Koga. She’s also got scent powers to sniff out the tiniest things in seconds.

Back to InuYasha and Kikyo------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

InuYasha was jumping and soaring in the tree tops to find a safe place by a lake. Kikyo needed water to purify herself and heal InuYasha. He found a nearby pond to make camp at. He set her down near the lake and checked her wounds. Her shoulder was halfway gone but since the water was there she healed in seconds. InuYasha’s arm has been severely damaged Kikyo turned to heal him but did something else.

She asked him for the Jewel. He handed it over and she stood. “InuYasha, I have one wish to make out of this Jewel. Your feelings for Kagome will weaken and you will love me forever. Sacred Jewel, grant my wish!” Kikyo had made her final move. The Jewel grew brightly and shined, it started to dissipate. InuYasha stood before anything else could happen. “SACRED JEWEL GRANT ME FULL DEMON POWER!”   InuYasha wanted power and Kagome to himself, he never truly loved Kikyo. He wanted the Jewel.

The Jewel shined purple and granted InuYasha’s wish. He transformed. Purple streaks crossed his face and his eyes went red. His claws extended along with his fangs. He now turned to Kikyo. “Kikyo I never loved you it’s always been Kagome. You fool.” He sneered. Kikyo backed away. He cracked his fingers and shredded Kikyo to pieces before she could say anything.

Now one last thing. Kagome’s heart. He leaped to the cave.

                                                                    ~The Last Few Moments~

Kagome and a few of the other women in the tribe were walking to a hot spring to bathe in. She was ready for a nice bath she had worked hard all day. Cooking, sewing, washing. But she actually enjoyed it. Being with the other girls make it better.

They arrived, striped, and went in the spring. It was a nice temperature to bathe in, not too cold, not too hot. Just right. She bathed got dressed and returned to the tribe. Tonight they were going to celebrate Kagome being the alpha female.

Back to InuYasha--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He was in the same tree he was last time except, this time it was dark outside. The tribe had a campfire going and was dancing. InuYasha could see Kagome getting up as the main dancer and perform. They were clapping and cheering and laughing. It seemed very lively. InuYasha slipped out of the tree and went closer to the edge of the creek.

The tribe was too caught up in the female’s dancing and didn’t notice InuYasha sneaking around outside. Except one. Koga was one sharp wolf, and he caught his scent but acted like he didn’t know and continued to pay attention.

InuYasha was yards away from the entrance of the cave and Koga knew it. InuYasha was thinking, ‘Get rid of Koga.’

He was just inches now from the fire light and Koga finally got up to “pee”. Kagome knew he wasn’t going to pee, so she was going to “pee” too. Koga walked up to InuYasha and InuYasha jumped a few yards back so he wouldn’t draw too much attention from the tribe.

~A Demon Never Meant To Be~

Kagome was silently trailing behind and hid behind a rock to watch.

“So what does the mutt want now?” Koga sneered. “Just a little wolf head and Kagome.” InuYasha said. Kagome was worried. She knew it was InuYasha’s demon form but why?  He didn’t have wounds…. ‘The Jewel!’ Kagome thought. He made a wish on the Jewel to be a full demon. Kagome had to do something.  She tried to sneak away to get her arrows, but stepped on a stick. InuYasha and Koga snapped their attention to Kagome. “So there is my Kagome!” InuYasha said as he leaped for her.

She screamed and fell down on her and cowered. Koga jumped in and blocked her, but only to get swiped away by the demon InuYasha. He fell to the ground with a deep scratch in his chest. Kagome saw and clawed at InuYasha when he landed. She managed to scratch at his face and neck giving him deep wounds. It was enough to get the tribes attention and get Koga out of there.

Her demon strength was enough to lift Koga and run inside to treat his wounds, while the tribe finished the unconscious InuYasha.

She sat him down near a fountain in the chambers and healed him back to  100%. She kneeled next to him and cried. “I’m sorry Koga. I knew something was up when you left. I didn’t want you hurt. But me being there made it worse than it would have been.” She sobbed into his chest. “Kagome it wasn’t your fault. Besides I feel fine since you healed me.” He spoke as he caressed her face with his hand. She sat up with him. “Koga I’m sor-“ he pulled her into a kiss to soothe her worries, aches, and pains. He still loved her. Even if she went and killed him he would still love her ‘till the ends of the world.

It was now morning. The sun rose and birds started singing.

Koga broke the kiss. “It’s ok” he assured her. He hugged her and went to check on InuYasha. Before he left through the door he told Kagome, “Stay here. Ok?” “Alright, I promise.” Kagome told him.

He saw InuYasha laying in front of the entrance of the cave and assured he was dead or else Koga would have tore him to shreds. Koga picked the body up and tore it anyways.

The tribe made fire wood out his bones and footballs out of skin and flesh. They kicked the foot balls into the woods somewhere where demons could have breakfast. Kagome and other tribe members cheered to their joys contempt.

She couldn’t have been happier any other day. One thing, Koga and her found true love, second thing her heart killer, InuYasha was dead! They danced and sung, ate and met with other tribes to chat about their memories. No one could beat this tribe while this couple is in charge. Only thing, what can they do now? Kikyos dead, along with Naraku and InuYasha. Does anyone else stand in their way to try and ruin their relationship?

Nope. Now they can just fall in love. Be a happy family. Have pups. What could be better than living in peace? Nothing! Right?

~Is It Really Over~

They returned home by evening. They walked around to the front of the cave to be a disaster. Clothes and dishes thrown were everywhere. Broken glass is on the floor and uncooked food is splattered on the wall. “Who did this?” Kagome asked in shock. She turned to Koga. “Whoever did this is going to hear from me.” Koga said harshly.

Koga and Kagome were first to step inside the messy cave. They were cautious to avoid any broken glass, and anything they could slip on. “What the heck?!?!” Kagome questioned as she stepped in the main chambers. “Kagome what is it?” Koga said as he ran to check out the scene.

He stepped around the corner, his eyes were met with a demon, that was short and had purple long locks. Whatever it was, it stood in the corner and was staring at the couple with a red gleam in its eyes. It removed the sword that was resting on its back and pointed it towards Kagome. Koga stood in front of Kagome and snarled at the monster.

It laughed and said some random words as if it was chanting some random song. “Nel. Kiout. KiKi. LOKI!” the sword formed a shadowy ball at the end of the sword, and fired it. It went through Koga without dealing damage and went to Kagome’s head. It took control of Kagome and she laughed like that monster. Koga looked at the monster and tried to study its face but it was covered by a thick, black hood. He laughed and disappeared. The only thing was left is the trailing sound of his voice. “Want her back to normal? Then go to my castle while having her trying to kill herself.” He sneered. Kagome was still standing there with a dull look in her eyes.

“When I find you, you won’t be laughing anymore! Wait for me!” Koga yelled. Kagome laughed and swung at Koga. He turned to her and dodged it. “Kagome snap out of it! Don’t listen to his words, snap to it!” She took her claws and tried to claw her arm. Koga grabbed her and took her hands and tied them together. He took another cloth and tied shut so now she can’t bite.

He threw her over his back and sped off following that demons scent. They were running until late evening when Koga started to make camp. Kagome was sleeping with messed up ropes and the cloth was off . Koga was tired and just had a few scratches. One deep one on his back, and a few on his arm.

                                                                    ~Taken by Surprise~

Kagome snapped to attention from her sleeping and seemed pretty normal. “Koga? What happened? I remember that guy… He said his name was, Koutsu. He said something and I remember you jumping in front of me. I was paralyzed but my mind was still going I just couldn’t move or speak. Then I remember nothing else.”

Kagome looked up and tried to remember, but nothing came to her. “So now you’re back to normal?” Koga asked curiously. Kagome straightened up and said happily, “Yeah! I guess I am. I mean I don’t really hear Koutsu’s voice. It’s just clear thoughts.”. Koga stood up and sat next to Kagome and hugged her. He was so happy that she is back to normal. Words could not express it. He didn’t want her to be harmed in the first place, and otherwise she wasn’t trying to hurt herself. The wind was rough and it was night already.

Kagome got the goose bumps and tried to make sure Koga didn’t notice so she wouldn’t have him worry about her and he can do what he needs to do.  She looked up to see if he was paying attention to her and he wasn’t even there. She looked all around. She needed to find him. She didn’t even hear him get up. Or announce that he was going somewhere.

She stood up and called his name, “Koga-kun?” she was terrified. Where did Koga go at such a time? She looked all around. Then something caught her eye. It was a note. It read, ‘Stupid girl.. Why didn’t you notice that he was gone? Too worried about yourself , huh? SELFISH! Now your friend is gone, you’re all alone now. He is at MY castle and you can’t do a thing now. You are just a human. A worthless soul, that doesn’t belong with a demon like him. Truth is, I think he hates you. Come to my castle and retrieve him. You have 5 days until he is mine to kill. Good Luck.’

Kagome put the note down and it dropped into the fire and burned. She clenched her fist and a tear streaked down her face. “Koutsu!” Kagome yelled. “Why was it him? Do you want me to suffer again? Do you want something from me?” She cried. She wiped her tears away and decided to get going. Koutsu was wrong. She was a demon now, she could sense him. She was already close enough. She was 6 miles away, and with her demon speed it wouldn’t be a problem and she could get there in about 15 minutes. So she sped off making no hesitations.

About half the way she stopped in her tracks. Koga was there in the tree to her left. He was looking at her with a gleam in his eyes. There was a cool breeze and a trailing voice like before. “New thing… Fight him. Injure him and you win. But if you get to him, - which I doubt – you also win. Ready. Go.

Koga snapped up like a robot and dashed towards Kagome. He barred his fangs and claws. He threw an attack at Kagome and she dodged. She said in pain not wanting to hurt him, “Koga I know this isn’t your real self. Please come back to me!” She was crying now and Koga was readying for another attack. Kagome wiped her face and turned to see him launch at her. She got scratched on her arm. She dropped to her knees and clutched her arm. Kagome stood again and took Koga’s arm and pulled him to her and he calmed a bit.

“Koga it’s me.” She cried softly. “I don’t want to hurt you. You aren’t weak so release his grasp on you, just try. Please.” She cried harder. He started growling again and tried to get out.  “KOGA!!!” She screamed she couldn’t take it anymore she had to hurt him he wouldn’t come to. She let him go and stood and readied her attack she wasn’t planning to hurt him badly but if she did she would heal him when they got back to the den. She looked at him and charged at him. She managed to scratch him with her good arm.

She got through him and Koutsu released him for something so minor. “Kagome… What happened to your arm?” Koga asked frantically he was worried. “Oh, it’s nothing.” Kagome replied just to be happy he was back. Koga smelled Kagome’s blood somewhere, and it was close. He looked down to find his hands covered in it. Koga trembled as he looked back up at Kagome’s smiling face. “Koga what’s wrong?” Kagome now frowned. “Ka-Kagome, did I do that?” He asked as he pointed towards her arm. “Yeah, but it’s ok! You didn’t mean it! So let’s go and kill that Koutsu!” Kagome smiled.  She hugged him and they continued their journey to kill Koutsu. They raced off towards their destination.

Koutsu turned to his faithful companion, a little demon-cat, Ayane. The cat was purple and had a shadow type glow to it, with glowing green eyes. The shadow neko walked over to his ankles and swerved around them in a figure eight. Swerving in, and out.  “Now my dear, where are the guest we are patiently waiting for?” The cat glowed in response for the question and showed him an image of Koga and Kagome running towards the castle just now reaching the front door. Koutsu smirked “Good.”

~The Thing We Want The Most~

The couple looked up and saw the towering castle. The leaves rustled in the wind making it eerie in a way. Kagome looked at Koga and smiled. “The final battle and now nothing can get in our way!” Kagome cheered. Koga was nothing but a silent statue standing there ignoring her. “Koga can you hear me?” Kagome asked in worry.

The voice was there again silently trailing like a ghoul in the wind. “Looks like my toy has come back to ‘it’s’ senses.” There was a pause. “Fight him again. It would surprise me if you were to live this time around….  Go.” The voice trailed away with a snicker like a hyena’s. Koga turned and almost struck Kagome with his claws. But instead it went into the castle walls. “Run… G-go!” Koga managed through the snarled look on his face. Koga growled more. “Go kill him. Kout…su. GO! I will keep myself busy just go!” Koga said to Kagome.

Kagome nodded in agreement and burst through the front door. She looked up and saw the twisting stairs that led to the castle door. She started running. “Koutsu! Why is it us you must play with?! Why us out of the whole Feudal Era? What did we ever do to you?” She screamed as she ran up the stairs. She fell and brought herself back up quickly. “Why us..?” She cried. “Do you have no one else to be your puppets?” Just then Koga burst through the door. He growled in frustration and dashed in speed towards his target.

Kagome saw this, and decided to pick up the pace. Instantly Koga burst up the stairs. But for some reason, he ran past Kagome. She wondered what was happening. “Kagome! Meet me up there! This punk can’t control me for long!” Koga yelled down the stairs to his fiancé. Kagome was over joyed and ran even faster. She pulled her hair to the side, wiped the tears and sped off. In seconds she burst in through the door to see Koutsu fighting Koga. Immediately she shot off an arrow and it hit Koutsu in the leg.

“Just like InuYasha said before… I’m not as good as Kikyo, but I’m good enough to kill you right on this spot!” Kagome said as she launched another arrow this time hitting him in the skull as Koga slit his neck. He laughed merciless and disappeared and caught Kagome. He held her in his arms as she lay unconscious. Koga was angered by this sight and struck Koutsu in the face. Koutsu fell and uttered, “You… You think I’m finished? Preposter.. ous!” He sputtered and finally, died.

Kagome sat up almost instantly as Koutsu died. “He wasn’t much of an enemy but the tough part, was having to beat each other up. The only thing that could stop us is: Nothing.” Koga said. Kagome stood and walked over to Koga and embraced him. She was happy this whole war thing was over and they exited the castle and headed back to the tribe. They threw a party in the celebration of a clean den, and the couple making it back with only a few scratches and bruises. They danced and ate a good meal, cooked by the finest chefs in the tribe. After that Koga and Kagome returned to the main den and Koga looked very anxious. They sat on the bed and Koga spoke first. “Kagome, Will you marry me?” Koga asked in excitement. “What kind of question is that?” Kagome asked in tears of joy. “Of course, you silly wolf.” He picked her up and spun her around and led her out to the living room. As if the whole tribe was listening they screamed ‘Congratulations!’ and they began to prepare for the wedding that night. By midnight everyone was ready and Koga walked to the entrance of the den. He was not the only one waiting anxiously waiting for Kagome to arrive.

To Ayame-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The red haired wolf waited quietly outside the den. She was waiting to attack Kagome for taking her away from “her” wolf. She saw Kagome emerge from the main den, dressed in a beautiful white kimono covered in flowers. Her hair was curled and a lily was stuck in the left side. She walked down the aisle and met Koga’s hands. Just then Koga went outside and it sounded like he was hitting a rock outside. Kagome stepped outside and actually he was HITTING someone WITH a rock. It happened to be Ayame.

To Koga and Kagome---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Koga was beating Ayame with a rock in her face and she was covered in bruises. Kagome saw this and started laughing. She couldn’t stand to sit there quietly. Then the whole tribe got up laughed too. Then Koga kicked Ayame back to the Northern Mountains hoping she wouldn’t have enough energy to make it back to her home or his den. The couple got back together and kissed. They didn’t want to have to listen to the boring preacher or anyone else. They danced, ate and slept. The couple was never interfered with, for the whole Feudal Era knows that they are invincible. So now that they can’t be stopped what will they do now? That’s all up to them. The new adventure in their lives starts now.

It’s been over two months since they had become a successful couple. “Ginta! Hakkaku!”  Kagome’s sweet voice ran throughout the den. The two wolves were there in a heartbeat. “Yes, Kagome-neesama?” The two said in unison. She turned to a frustrated Koga. “Koga has been helping me pack to go back to my time, and he’s having a bit of trouble. Could you help us?” Kagome said. The two brothers looked at each other. “Koga? Needs help?” Ginta cracked. Hakkaku piped up, “ With such a simple task too!” They felt a sharp pain on their heads. “You two try something so simple!” Koga said while looking at the two growing bumps on the wolves forehead. “Um, Koga you did it! You packed that suit case by yourself!” Kagome said as she happily praised the now happy wolf.

“Anyways Ginta and Hakkaku, take good care of the tribe while we are gone ok?” Kagome turned to them. “Both gone? But what if there’s trouble?” Ginta asked frantically. “We’ll be fine we can even handle Naraku!” Hakkaku burst from confidence. “Naraku is dead you imbeciles!” Koga protested to  the cowardly brothers.

Koga and Kagome finished packing and headed towards the front of the den. Kagome turned to the crowding pack, “Goodbye! We will be back soon! You guys relax ok?” All of the pack bid them a farewell and they headed off towards the well.

                                                                ~A Confession Never Made~

When they got there Kagome stopped and put down their stuff. “Koga I think only I could pass through the well…. I never tried it other than with InuYasha.. Let’s try anyways!” Koga jumped through the well without hesitation and purple light shined from inside the well. Kagome shrugged, “Well, I guessed it worked.” She questioned after jumping in.

Koga jumped from the well into what looked like a shrine. He peeked around until running into a door, and slightly opened it to a new world filled with new sights and scents. Koga closed the door, still shy to this strange place. He closed his eyes feeling a warm hand upon his shoulder. Koga swirled around to see Kagome’s sweet face. “My family, or pack, is a little strange when it comes to demons. When InuYasha first came they rubbed his ears and played with his sword.. So don’t freak when they touch your tail.” Kagome assured. Koga grabbed the stuff and headed behind Kagome out the shrine door.

Koga reassured, “Please Kagome, I can handle any demons so don’t underestimate me with just a few mere humans.” Koga bragged. “Okay, Mr. Tough Guy.” Kagome teased.

They stepped inside to a pair of eyes taking in the sight. “Mom, Nee-Chan has a new boyfriend! And he’s got a tail!” the hair boy screamed as he bolted upstairs. “Oh Kagome! You’re back!” a familiar sweet voice rang throughout the house. “Mama!” Kagome spoke as she stepped out from the living room and into the kitchen. Kagome’s mom turned around to Koga staring around the kitchen with peculiar blue eyes. “Oh Kagome, is this the wonderful man Sota was talking about?” She eyed Koga’s muscled body. “Mom, this is Koga, my husband.” Kagome spoke proudly. Koga shook his head as he smelt dinner in the oven and turned his attention back to Kagome’s mom. “I am proud to be in care of your wonderful daughter who will be the alpha female of my pack, and one day, mother my pups.” Koga boasted.

Kagome’s mom looked at Kagome, who had wolf ears and a tail. “My, Kagome! May I rub your ears? Or tail?” Kagome’s mom asked frantically. “Um, sure?” Kagome squeaked. She walked up to Kagome and rubbed her ears. Kagome emitted a purr sound and Koga went behind Kagome and pulled her back. “I’m sorry Mrs.Higurashi, may you refrain from touching Kagome in such ways?” Koga seemed disturbed yet angered by this situation. She stepped back, releasing Kagome’s ears. “Thank You. You may be the mother of Kagome , but you do not have permission to touch her in such ways unless you ask me.” Koga held on to Kagome. “Yes sir.” She said properly. Kagome left the kitchen and went up to her room. She opened the door and the scent of Kagome filled the air and drifted up to Koga’s nose. “Wow! This room smells like you! Everything does!” Koga sniffed the floor and ran into the desk. “Demon! Kagome what is that thing doing in your room!” Koga got his claws ready. Kagome grabbed his arm. “Wait! Slow down! That’s not a demon, it’s a desk!” Kagome took in a deep breath. She walked over to the desk chair and sat in it. She took out a piece of paper and grabbed a pencil and drew Koga. “See look. I can write on this and the pencil helps me do it. Here you try.”

Koga scribbled Kagome on to the paper like a two year old. He scratched his head. “Kagome look! I did it!”. “Good!” Kagome took the paper and pinned it to the wall. She took a breath and sighed. “Man, I haven’t  been back in forever!” She lazily stood and wafted to her bed. She plopped down and Koga soon followed.  He sat next to her grabbing her hand and firmly holding it. “Kagome, what are we going  to do?”.  “About what?” Kagome questioned. “Oh! Nothing. Really!”  Koga admitted. Kagome released his hand and dropped the conversation. She fell back into a deep sleep.

Kagome finally back at the den, had dropped off her bags in the main den. She sat down on the bed and it felt somewhat, squishy? She squeezed the bed and found it transforming. She hopped off of it and watched as Naraku formed. ‘Naraku?!?!’ Kagome staggered back. She ran out into the front of the den. “Ko-?” She came around the corner to everyone dead. Blood was splattered on the floor and Koga was pinned to the wall, arrow through his chest. Kagome’s eyes widened. ‘No! N-no! How could this be happening?!’ She heard growling and turned to face InuYasha’s demon form. She fell on her backside and tried to scoot away. He closed her in as she reached a corner that felt like silk. Kagome looked up to see Kikyo smirking at her with a wild look in her eyes. Kagome froze as she closed her eyes. She felt the arrow head touch her forehead as if marking the spot. Hot breaths were chilling her to the bone. ‘How is this happening? What have I done to deserve this? Any of us?’ Kagome started to cry. “Kagome.” A soft voice soothed. She opened her eyes to a warm light shining down on her as InuYasha approached in half demon form. “Stop!” Kagome reached for her arrows. InuYasha halted as told to do so. He reached out his hand and Kagome stepped back. “I’m warning you!” Kagome started. He pulled his hand back and clearly stated. “Go die with the others. Selfish girl.” He said as he disappeared.

~Things Aren’t the Way They Used to Be~

Kagome flashed her eyes open to being in her room and Koga sleeping on the floor. She looked around feeling something was amiss. She got up carefully and avoided the sleeping Koga. She went to her desk and saw the picture of her that Koga drew. Kagome smiled to herself and put her head in her hands. She whirled her chair around and saw Koga kicking in his sleep. Kagome giggled as she watched him for awhile longer. “Kagome.” Koga whispered. Kagome was startled by this and decided to test Koga. Kagome leaned to Koga’s ear. “Koga, I love you.” Koga mumbled, “I love you too.” Kagome once again brought her smiling face to his ear. “What if I ignored you and left you forever?” Kagome bestowed this question upon the sleeping wolf. Koga turned over to Kagome’s face eyes open. “I would devote the rest of my life to find you and make you love me again. If you broke me, stabbed me, or killed me, I would still love you.” Koga said as he grabbed her hands. Kagome seemed surprised by his sweet words and burrowed into his shoulder. “Y-you are honestly true and I love you for all you’ve got. I would never leave you or ignore you.” Kagome sobbed, her breath catching in .

Koga sat up holding Kagome in his arms. “Kagome?” Koga seemed worried.”Yes?” Kagome wiped her drying tears. “Where may I use the restroom?” Koga said shaking. Kagome giggled and stood. “Well don’t go there!” She teased. “Follow me.” Kagome lead him out the door. She opened the bathroom door and let Koga in. She pointed to the toilet. “Go in this.” She lifted the top and seat. “And when you’re done,” There was a slight pause. “Push this down to flush.” She turned around and saw Koga taking off his pelt. She screamed and yelled, “Wait! You are supposed to wait until I leave!” She shoved him slightly and ran out the door and shut it behind her.  She ran into her room and slammed the door and slumped down on her bed. “Geez.” A sigh was drawn out.

Koga flushed the toilet and wondered what was up. Kagome acts if she’s never seen Koga’s . Koga thought for a second. ‘Wait she hasn’t.’ Koga smirked.  He returned to her room and sat next to her. “Koga, what am I going to do with you?” Kagome looked up at him and smiled. “Kagome, you don’t hate me now do you?” Koga frowned. “Of course not! You just surprised me. I wasn’t expecting that.”  There was a pause as a sound of a door shutting.

Kagome stood up and went to her window and pulled back the curtains. As something bolted out the shrine door. Kagome staggered back “No…” Koga stood “What’s wrong Kagome?” Kagome rubbed her eyes and shook her head. “No… There’s no way! I thought… But he, was, dead. There is no… way!” Koga walked over in a rushed manner. “Kagome what’s wrong?” He touched Kagome. He pulled back quickly. ‘She’s shaking?!?’ Koga stood and went down stairs. He opened the front door into the outside world. He gave the air a quick sniff. Koga was, shocked! What in the world is going on here! Since when could HE be here? Koga closed the door and ran up to Kagome.  “Kagome we have to get out of here! Now!” Kagome nodded and stood.

They walked out of the room together and Kagome grabbed her things. Everyone was gathered in the dining room and Koga stood with Kagome and explained what was happening and what they needed to do. “Sota, you stay with Mom and Grandpa in the kitchen. The last place he would DARE to look.” Kagome explained. “But what about,” “Never mind him just go. NOW!” Kagome interrupted. Koga and Kagome burst out the door and met eyes with just the person she has despised the very first day. “So, I see you are here all alone, Kagome.” He scowled. “I am for one, not alone.” Koga stepped by her side. “But you are alone. Aren’t you scared by yourself? I still despise you, InuYasha.” He took one step closer. Koga growled. “Get lost mutt! What do you want! What business do you have here?” Koga pulled Kagome closer to him.

“You fools thought this was going to be your happy ending here. Didn’t you? Well you thought wrong. I was never dead. I must have never told you about my clone. Kikyo made it for me before she died. How sweet, huh? Also Kikyo was possessed. She never was evil; she never wanted to harm anyone but, me. She knew I had an evil soul but she never thought it would get out of hand. But here I am waiting to take you back Kagome.” InuYasha beckoned. Koga could see the bit of fright in Kagome’s eyes, despite the brave approach. Koga knew since Kagome was scared that he should be prepared for anything that happens and to take anything and everything with care.

Kagome reached back for her arrows and loaded her bow. InuYasha put his hand on Tetsaiga and pulled it out to a rusty old sword. “What’s up mutt? Your sword not transforming for ya?” Koga teased.  InuYasha stared at his sword in astonishment. “What?” InuYasha was now done for. Kagome thought, ‘What’s going on? Oh the Tetsaiga is only if you have someone to protect! He doesn’t protect me anymore. So the Tetsaiga won’t transform!’ “Koga the Tetsaiga knows InuYasha has no one to protect anymore!” Kagome shouted. “Shut it Kagome! You deserve to feel the pain as I did!” InuYasha charged at Kagome and Koga bumped him out of the way. “She doesn’t need you anymore! Get out! She has me to love!” Koga yelled.

~The Thing That Hurts the Most~

“Is Sis going to be ok?” Sota stared up teary eyed.  Kagome’s Mom put her hand on Sota’s shoulder and looked at the ceiling. “I hope so. I hope so. Just, why though? I thought he loved her.” She looked out the window.

Koga tried grabbing the Tetsaiga every time they clashed. Untouched, “What’s up, wolf? Can’t grab the Tetsaiga? Even if you did the protector’s barrier will shock you! Keh!” InuYasha spat. “Who cares?  As long it’s for Kagome, I would even give up my life!” Koga grabbed the Tetsaiga finally, and as promised, it shocked him. Koga dropped to the ground in critical condition. “KOGA!” Kagome screamed. InuYasha walked over to him and put his foot on Koga. Koga gasped for air and was flinching under his grasp. Kagome crawled over to the Tetsaiga and was being shocked by its barrier. “Have you forgotten? You are also a demon! Tetsaiga doesn’t allow demons.” InuYasha watched Kagome slowly unsheathed it, her face writhing in pain. Kagome cleared her thoughts and erased her painful expression on her face. “I… will…. Eliminate you… for hurting all these people. Especially me and Koga.” Kagome finally unsheathed the Tetsaiga and pointed it at InuYasha. ‘How is she still holding on to the sword?! Sesshomaru couldn’t even get this far! How can she stand this power?!’ InuYasha was now backing away from Kagome. “I will… erase you,” She almost fell and regained strength to stand. Her eyes flashed red and light flashed around her.

Koga turned his head towards the flashing Kagome. He smiled and finally closed his eyes. Kagome leapt Koga and came at InuYasha.  Kagome built up speed and jumped up in the air. The sun blinding InuYasha, he looked up and all he saw was a hurtling silhouette. The Tetsaiga came into sight and planted itself in the ground. Kagome quickly pulled it out and dashed towards InuYasha. She clashed with his claws twice before she had enough. “AHHHHHHHH!” Kagome finally made contact. InuYasha watched as the blood dyed his chest red. He grasped his kimono and fell to the ground on his hands and knees. “Kagome… WHY? You… You… Betrayed… Me…” Kagome perked up. She pointed the sword at his face. “I betrayed YOU? You betrayed ME! How dare you run off with Kikyo! You used that clay pot for revenge for me getting close to Koga! Isn’t it?!”

InuYasha let out a stuttered laugh. “Ka- kagome! Now why would you point my own sword at me?! You don’t have the heart to kill me! We both know you still have feelings for me!” That had done it in for Kagome.  “You want me to show you just how much I love you?” She poked the sword into InuYasha’s chest. “I just love you this MUCH!” She grasped the handle of Tetsaiga and twisted her hands, to grasp it harder. “Just so MUCH LOVE! Can’t help my LOVE! Right INUYASHA?!” She pierced the sword through his heart. “Is your love over flowing yet? Because I can’t see it!” InuYasha’s eyes went wide. He gasped under her fierce power. Kagome pushed the sword in farther. “I just can’t see you’re over flowing love for me InuYasha! WHERE IS IT?” She pulled out the sword in a hastily movement. Kagome stabbed his left arm. “IS IT HERE?!” She watched the blood flow. “Nope. No love there. Let’s try again!” She did the same and stabbed his right leg. “Hmmm no love here EITHER!”

InuYasha was now a figure laid out like a mannequin with a sword in his leg. He was left dead on the bloody cement. Kagome finally dropped the Tetsaiga. She looked down at her bloody trembling hands and looked over at Koga. She ran over and dropped down to his side and placed her hand on his face.

“Koga? Are you there? Tell me you are still there! Tell me something! Anything! Just, don’t die on me! That wasn’t much of a barrier! Come on! You ARE stronger than that!” She let it all out. She turned back to normal and forgot all about being a demon. She formed back into a human. Kagome was once again; normal? Koga sat up and held his stomach. Kagome caught her breath in and looked up at him with watery eyes. “You’re ok?” Kagome’s hand left his face leaving a mark on his face. Kagome’s blood crept down his face. He put his hand to his face immediately. “Is this your blood?” Koga asked. “Uh… Yeah why?” Kagome cocked her head to one side. “It- its human’s blood!” Kagome’s eyes widened.  She felt atop her head to find just hair. She looked towards the back. “Um… Koga we have a problem. No tail either.” Koga clenched his stomach as sudden pain struck him. His face cringed as Kagome got closer to find a wound that couldn’t she see before. It was quite deep and was gushing blood.

She put her hands over and gasped. “Koga! We need to get you to the hospital right now! Wait here I will get help!” Kagome stood and threw open the door and ran upstairs. Tears in her eyes, “Mom lets go to the hospital now! Koga needs medical attention! I’ll go get the keys!” She burst downstairs and swiped the keys from the counter. “Let’s go!” Kagome grabbed her shoes and slid the door open.

She rushed over to Koga who was sitting up looking InuYasha’s way. “Koga let’s go! We have to go to the hospital you need that wound sealed up! C’mon let’s go! Get up!” Koga wouldn’t budge. “What are you doing?” “You… killed him? You killed Dog-Face? But you were a demon before, right?” Koga asked. “Yeah. Why do you ask?” Koga was amazed. ‘She could do all that? That’s something I couldn’t even do!’ Koga slowly stood and fell to his knees immediately. Wind blew fiercely as something whispered came past their ears, “You were meant to surpass him.” The voice trailed off as the wind gave out.

“Who was that?” Kagome asked.  InuYasha gasped his last breath and said, “It. It was my father.” He gave out. Koga stood with Kagome’s help and got to the car. The car rushed to the hospital and got Koga attention just in time.

                                                                         ~A New Beginning~

“You are lucky they got you here in time your body was badly burnt and, that gash,” the nurse shivered, “you must be grateful!” She hung his files up on the door and walked out. Koga looked down at Kagome’s weeping body.

“I can’t stand seeing you like this Kagome! Cut the tears. Come on. I’m fine. Let me out of here. I’m fine.” Koga moved to the cord in his arm. Kagome swatted his hand away.  “Just because you’re a demon doesn’t mean something like this can heal that fast! Just rely on me a bit more ok? You think you’re always ok and can do things by yourself, but you can’t! It’s ok to rely on other people! I want you to rely on me! It makes me feel as if I can protect you!”  Kagome stood and left the room. “I need some air.” She left and went to the cafeteria which was full and quite noisy. She needed something to kill the awful mood she was in and went to the line for coffee. She stood behind a girl about her size, with long blue hair pulled back into a pony tail and had a school uniform on just like Kagome’s. The girl turned and had violet eyes and was very pretty. “Asami-chan! Is the really you?” Kagome asked, a smile dancing on her face. “Ka-chan?! Is that you? I haven’t seen you in forever!” ‘Ka-chan’ is Kagome’s nickname. “What have you been doing all this time, Ka-chan? I heard you’ve been out sick! Are you here because of that? They are letting you come down here. Does that mean you’re well enough?” She pushed her hand to Kagome’s forehead. “Hmm… You don’t seem warm. You must be getting released today. That’s good!”  Kagome backed up and put her hands up in an ‘I’m okay’ way.

Asami turned around as the man at the counter called her. “Ma’m? It’s your turn.” Asami told him she what she wanted and he called back for her stuff. He came back with a parfait and 2 vanilla ice-creams. “Ka-chan is it ok for you to come back up with me? To my boyfriend’s room?” Asami asked as she handed the ice-cream cone over. “Uh yeah! And thanks!” Kagome forgot about her coffee. They left the cafeteria together and hit the button to the elevator. As they stepped in Kagome asked, “What is your boyfriend here for? What was his name again? Kurototsu, right?” Asami looked at the ground. “Yeah. He’s here because he got in an accident. A car accident. But he’s better now! So I’m happy for him.” She looked up as the door to the 3rd floor opened.

They walked down the halls in silence until they got to his room. Kurototsu had jet black hair and pale blue eyes. “Asami?” He said in a low voice. “Yes?” Asami ran over to him. “Is that Kagome Higurashi? I haven’t seen her in quite some time.” Kurototsu took his ice-cream and sat up. Kagome turned to look out the room and saw Koga limping around the halls, his nose in the air. “Um… Asami-chan? I have to go. I appreciate you buying this for me though!” Kagome whispered over. “Why so soon Ka-chan?” Kagome looked out again and Koga walked straight into another hall.

“Uh… Something just came up! Thanks again!” Kagome turned and ran out of the room in the other direction. Asami ran out to the hall, “Ka-chan!” Kagome reached for the elevator door as it was closing. A man who looked much like Miroku held the elevator door for her. “Here you go pretty lady. What floor?” He released the door.

“The roof.  Please?” Kagome asked panting. She looked up stunned to see how similar he looked to Miroku. ‘Must be a descendant.’ She waited anxiously as the elevator went up slowly.  ‘25, 26, 27, 28….’   Kagome held her ice-cream and watched the door open up to the stairs to the roof. “Thanks!” She rushed out handing the man her ice-cream. The man was confused at first but a erted crept on to his face.

Kagome ran up the stairs and opened the door to the roof.  “So, this is where you were headed…” Koga stood at the edge looking at out at the sun. Kagome stepped back ready to run back towards the elevator. Koga turned around with a stern look on his face. “You were here already?! But how?” Kagome was scared.

“You honestly think you could fool me? I went into the other hall on purpose. Come on, let’s go.” Koga out stretched his hand towards her. Kagome backed up. “No. No! I just need a little time away from you!”

                                                                    ~Your Life Does Flash~

Kagome had tears in her eyes, and from the way Koga looked he was also hurt by those words. “Alright, Kagome. It’s ok. I understand. When we get back I will go back through the well. I promise.” Koga walked past Kagome and left to the elevator. Kagome stood as Koga hit the button to go back down.  He waited for the elevator and Kagome turned around. “Koga. Goodbye. Forever. I hope you live happily.” Koga looked back up the stairs to see Kagome on the edge of the roof. “Kagome! What are you doing? You may need time away from me but this is outrageous!” He raced back up the stairs. He stopped a few feet away from her. “Koga, I’m sorry. I just can’t take this pain anymore. Ever since Koutsu died I have had this strange feeling to… to… to kill. Kill… you. I can’t live like this. Not thinking that I might murder you without wishful thinking to do so.”

Koga was surprised by this. “Kagome… Don’t! Don’t do this.” She smiled at him with tears in her eyes. “It’s going to be okay. Just let this be my decision.” She turned to face the sun setting. The sunset was a deep red with a tint of purple at the edges. Koga ran to her and begged her to stop. She pushed him away and bent down. “Now listen to me. Take good care of the pack. Ginta and Hakaku have a surprise for you at home. Go back and live happy. Have a good one!” Kagome bent down and kissed him. Koga wrapped his arms around her neck and pulled her closer. Kagome released him and tried to pull away. Koga wouldn’t let her go. Kagome wriggled free and turned back.

She stepped closer to the edge and turned around. She smiled sadly one last time before tossing him a bracelet she always held dear. “What’s this?” Koga looked up teary eyed. “Oh… It’s something I should have given you a long time ago.” Koga slid it on his wrist although it was very feminine.  Kagome took a deep breath before jumping off the building. “Kagome! No!” Koga watched her go. He couldn’t move.  Kagome’s hair was whipping at her face as the wind blew at her. She fell to her doom as her life flashed before her eyes.

“You know… They say your life flashes before your eyes, before you die…” Kagome backed up. “What?” “Kagome? Will you marry me?” “InuYasha…” Kagome turned to her side. “I never loved you Kagome. It’s always been Kikyo you fool.”  “Why?” Kagome’s eyes saddened. “Can I mark you Kagome?” Koga looked at her. “Koga?” Kagome put her hand to her forehead and closed her eyes. Ayame was getting beat with a rock. “Anyways, back to the marriage ceremony!” Koga announced. “It’s been you always in my heart huh?” She softly spoke and put her hand to her heart. “Take good care of her Ginta, Hakkaku. This is Koga’s pup.” Kagome nodded and left. “Have a good trip Kagome-neesan!” Ginta waved as they left. “The pup…” Kagome whispered as she looked down as the ground was getting closer and closer. “No Kagome! Don’t do this!” Koga pleaded. “Goodbye. Take care.” Kagome turned around. “Then I jumped. I have no regrets. They were right. Before you die your life does flash before your eyes. Heh.” Kagome’s fragile body hit the ground with a thud.  The cement was painted with a maroon color.

In seconds people scattered around her. Koga was one to arrive last. He made his way through and picked up her broken body and leads his way walking down the sidewalk with her body completely limp. “This was your choice, right?” Koga let a tear slip down his face. He looked towards the sky and let out a howl. He raced off towards Kagome’s house and told her parent’s about what had happened to their daughter. Of course they cried. They arranged a funeral for Sunday. He left without saying a word leaving her body with them. He walked slowly to the shrine where the well is hidden. As Koga reached the shrine door he turned and took one good last look up at Kagome’s window. It was open and the pink curtains were flowing out in the wind. “I really hope you thought that was a good idea.” He opened the door and jumped down the well. The purple light engulfed him as he returned to the past.

The scents of the Feudal Era once again filled Koga’s nose. Koga sniffed around for a bit, taking in sights and air. Koga stood and looked around as he waited for the scent of the tribe. ‘You can’t even remember where we live? You’re silly!’ Kagome’s voice played in his mind. “Kagome?” Koga spun around to the well. Nothing seemed to fill his sights except for the old well. He turned around to catch a familiar scent and sped off in that direction without thinking. He arrived at his destination. The tribe? What could Kagome’s scent possibly be doing here? It must be a valuable of hers. That’s it. Just something of hers. He went inside head down. The tribe was silent. Everyone looked at Koga with sad fearful eyes.

He didn’t say a word as he walked to his chambers. Ginta and Hakkaku were chuckling as Koga walked in. Koga looked up at the brothers and saw the white bundle lying on the bed. “Ginta, Hakkaku. What is that?” Koga tilted a little to see what was going on. Ginta put his finger in the bundle and pulled back immediately. “Ow! It bit me!” Hakkaku smacked his brother upside the head. “Technically it’s a she.” Ginta lifted his finger and blew on it. Hakkaku picked up the bundle and handed it to Koga.

Koga took the bundle and folded the blanket over to see her face. She had brown eyes like Kagome and long brown hair like Koga’s.  He picked out a note stuffed inside the blanket. He unfolded it and read, “This is our pup take good care of her! I like the name Momami. Cute huh? Our little Momami-chan. Take her to the springs everyday and tell her everything we’ve done together. I want her to have a good memory of me. ~Kagome” Koga trailed off into nothing. “So she is ours? Momami?” The baby giggled at the name. “Yeah? You like that name?” Koga giggled at the baby and swung her around. “Oh, I love you so much!” Koga brought her close to his heart and held her tight. “Oh Kagome only if you were here…”

8 years later------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“-Momami your mother was beautiful!” Koga looked out at the spring. “Yeah? Too bad I didn’t get to meet her.” Momami looked for the next fish. “You did meet her but you were very little. You know what let me take you somewhere.” Koga stood with Momami in his arms and sped off into the forest. Momami loved the wind in her hair and the wild rush of running so fast. She let off at a grave stone. “Daddy? What’s this?” Momami looked sad as Koga started to explain. “Your mother’s grave.” Momami went and grabbed a pretty white flower. “Here Mommy!” She put the flower on the grave and hugged the grave stone.  She sat leaning on the engraved stone. “You know Daddy? I think we should stay here a while.” Momami looked up at her father with sparkling eyes. “You know what? I think so too.” Koga kneeled and took Momami’s hand the other, on the stone. “You know what Momami did yesterday? Oh you should have been there! It was hilarious!”
