Description

"How do you know who you really are if you only listen to what others tell you to do?"

It would be an understatement to describe emi as unhappy. A more fitting word would be lightless. Like a zombie, always following orders, never really stopping to ask why it is they were given. But when a strange man with a sickenly sweet smile unexpectedly and unorthodoxly claims the lonely seat beside Emi in class, will light finally reach the desolate corners of her heart? Can feelings change from irritability to admiration over a cup of coffee?

Character Description

Jang Emi. (Age 22)

After living only 22 years, Emi has already made up her mind that 'happily ever afters' don't exist, and neither do dreams coming true. At least not for her. At least not anymore. With no personal ambitions left, Emi had heartlessly agreed to follow her parents' orders to become a doctor after witting her way into the nation's most prestigious university. The scars that were left by unsatisfied parents and an unfaithful love etched themselves deep enough into Emi's mind to make her forget the feeling of warmth and excitement. The desire to be a journalist she once had is now only present in the flimsy old journal she scratches into every now and then, whenever the world decides it wants to challenge her sanity.

Lee Kikwang. (Age 22)

Kikwang had sworn to never let the world's harsh attacks get to him again as he made his way to the venue of the highest ranked education. He promised himself to never waste an opportunity to live life to the fullest-- the soul reason he decided to become a doctor. He believed that everybody deserves as many chances at life as their blessed with. The one thing that could smear the calm smile off of Kikwang's face in a split second is the act of putting others down. No one deserves to feel pathetic, nor does anyone have the right to make someone feel that way.

Kim Jonghyun. (Age 22)

Dreams? Miracles? Love? HA! Jonghyun had many titles in his adolescent years. The one that stood out the most? Muderer. No, not slaying bodies or shooting civilians. Murder of the soul. One in particular. Who knew how much a girl could change from one bittersweet romance? Who would have known that cold words from a single person could be the death of everything but the body? Jongyun did. And he didn't care. But that was then.
