"It's a nice day for this." Yoona said softly while standing beside the window, observing with curious eyes the smooth rain falling down outside the wooden house, making the colors of the day become faded.   Jessica was lying on the only (and small) bed that place had, but, guess what, she wasn't sleeping. The blonde turned her head upon hearing Yoona's voice, paying attention to her words.   Details of a simple life. Simple things. Rain.   Jessica kept quiet and listened to the calming sound. She felt relaxed for a moment. Her eyes closed and her breathing got deeper. Seconds later, her eyes opened and did the same.   "I like this sound. It's been one of my favorites for a long time." She said while looking at the ceiling.   Yoona's eyes met Jessica's figure, a few meters away across the room. She noticed her arms behind her head, as if Jessica was calm. Yoona was glad she's able to see her like this.       The younger girl moved away from the window and went searching for something inside her backpack, lazily left on a corner.   "Time's running out." Jessica said after a long silence. Yoona's crouching on the other side of the room, still looking for her stuff. She didn't turn around, and said "We gotta leave as soon as possible. But not today."   "Why?" Jessica lifted her upper body from the bed and her hands supported her weight on the mattress as she looked at her friend's direction, the latter's back facing her.   "Hunger time. It's been two days since the last 'decent' meal we've had." Yoona gathered some objects and stuffed them inside the pockets of her outfit. The last one was her knife, which she raised in the air, beside her face, only to stare at it for a few seconds. Jessica stirred.   "Don't tell me you're--"   "I am going out today. And you're not stopping me." Yoona spoke the first sentence in a higher volume. The pause between her sentences was for her eyes to meet Jessica's, slightly turning her body around to look behind. Her words sounded bold.   Jessica noticed this. For a moment, she just stared at the other girl, watching her expression.    "I'm going with you." The blonde shortly said, and got up from where she was sitting.   "No, Jessica, you've got to stay here and watch the place. We can't risk it." The brown-haired person stood up as well, placing the knife in her belt and walking closer to the girl she was talking to.   Both of them approached each other. "The way I see it, yes, we CAN risk this place. I'm sure it'll be gone from our lives by tomorrow." The older one moved her arm to touch the other's hand. "What I can't risk is you being away from me." Yoona looked down. She hated to admit it, but Jessica was right. Silence established between them, only dissolved by their breathing.    "But what if-"   "I don't care. I don't care if we have to live under a bridge or on the top of the highest building. I don't mind killing a lion, if it means I can protect us both. I'll do what I have to do to keep us like this. A team. Alive." The blonde sounded confident of what she's saying, even if fear could be discovered between the lines.   Yoona simply nodded her head, still immersed in her thoughts. Not long after, she embraced Jessica's body as if it was the last time she would have the chance to.
