chapter six - Tiffany

Recap:

You rested your head on his shoulder

“I wish we can stay like this forever” he said wistfully

“Me too, oppa. Me too”

A couple of months have passed and you and Jaejoong were still happily dating each other

Jaejoong’s phone rang and he went to the coffee table to grab it

He sat down on the couch and answered it

“Yoboseyo?”

“Ah, Jaejoong-ah” a woman’s voice called

“Eomma” Jaejoong said happily, hearing his mother’s voice

“Jaejoong-ah, can you make time to come over to our house?” she asked

Jaejoong was living in his own house which he had bought

“Umm, sure. What for?” he asked

“I just have something important to tell you”

“Can’t you just say it now?”

“No, I can’t”

“Fine” he hung up

He grabbed his black blazer which was just next to him and put it on

Then he got out to his car and drove off to his parents’ house

Jaejoong arrived at his parents’ house – no – mansion to be exact

He went to the dining room and found his parents already there with another family

“Eomma, appa” he said, diverting all of their attention to him

“Oh, Jaejoong-ah, you’re here. Come, sit” his mother said and Jaejoong did as she told

He sat next to his mother

Then the food came and all of them began eating. They talked and they introduced Jaejoong to Tiffany

When they were finished, finally Jaejoong’s dad got down to business

“So, Jaejoong-ah. The reason why we asked you to come is…”

Jaejoong looked at him “What?” he sipped his water

“We want you to marry Tiffany”

Jaejoong almost burst the water out

He chocked and his mother patted his back

“W-what?!”

“We want you to marry, Tiffany” he looked at Tiffany

Jaejoong diverted his attention to Tiffany

Tiffany just smiled

“You want me to marry… H-her?!” Jaejoong said in disbelief “Are you guys freaking serious?!”

“Jaejoong, don’t be rude!” her mother scolded

Jaejoong scoffed “Oh, I will be rude. Why do you want me to marry her? Because of business matters, right?!”

“Kim Jaejoong!” his father growled

Jaejoong stood up “What, appa?! You want me to marry a girl I just met and expect me not to be angry about it?! Expect me to just agree to it?!”

“Jaejoong-ah! Sit down!” his mother hissed “Behave in front of the guests!”

“No, eomma. This is too much”

His father stood up as well “Kim Jaejoong, you are my son! And you will do what I tell you to do!”

“Appa! I’m not a kid anymore! I’m an adult! I have the right to choose my own wife! My own future!” he hit his chest

Tiffany could only lower her head

“KIM JAEJOONG! You are getting engaged 2 months from now and you can’t do anything about it!!”

Jaejoong’s eyes widened “I don’t want to! Appa… I already have a girlfriend” his voice cracked and he felt his eyes dwelling up in tears when he remembered about you

His father sighed in frustration “Break up with her”

“Jaewoo- ajussi, it’s okay. If Jaejoong-ssi doesn’t want to then-“ Tiffany said

“No, Tiffany. The marriage is going to happen no matter what my son says”

“Appa!” Jaejoong growled

“Ilwoo-ssi, Yeonhee-ssi, Tiffany, I think it’s better for you all to go home for now. Let us finish this” Jaejoong’s mother said calmly

They all nodded, “Until we meet again” Yeonhee, Tiffany’s mother said as she got up and they all bowed

Tiffany took a last glance at Jaejoong and Jaejoong caught her glance

He rolled his eyes

“Appa please…” Jaejoong finally calmed down

“No, Jaejoong. You are going to be engaged to her and that’s final” his father stated

“But appa, I already have a girlfriend and we just started our relationship…”

His father sighed “Tell her that you’re getting engaged. It’s a good thing you two have just started dating. You should tell her before things get a little too deep”

“Appa!”

“This conversation is over” he declared and he left the dining room

Jaejoong broke down on his knees and covered his face with his hands

His mother softened. She patted Jaejoong’s back “Jaejoong-ah, trust us. We know the best for you”

Jaejoong looked up “The best for me? She’s the best thing that’s ever happened in my life, eomma. How am I supposed to let her go?”

“You’ll forget her. And you’ll love Tiffany” she said

He looked at her in disbelief “Eomma… You too…?” then he looked away

“I’m leaving” he stood up and angrily left the mansion

He got in his car and drove back to his house

“Damn it!”  He slammed his palm on the steering wheel

“Damn it damn it damn it!!!!” he shouted into thin air
