Fact: 

He doesn't shine.

Not like L when he stares at you, or more so Myungsoo when he smiles with you.

Or Woohyunie when he lets out everything he has held in his lungs into one of his long notes.

Or Sungyeolie when Jungryul hyung finally hands him a script and his eyes are alive again.

Or Dongwoo when he does that geniune giggle of his at the most mundane things.

Or Howonie when he dances when he thinks he's alone and you're standing in the doorway and you can't bring yourself to yell at him because he isn't practicing any of Infinite's routines and he has that look of straight enjoyement smeared across his face.

Or Sungjongie when he doesn't act how they want him to, or how he wants himself to, or how he depends on himself to, and he just talks.

So when the camera pans to him for his six seconds  and he blows a kiss with a 'ttak' and continues to adamently explains to the host that the fans react, they react to him. Sunggyu. Not that he shines now, but the problem of not shining has been overcome. 

Not that any of this occurs to him. He notices that Myungsoo shines, notices that he does not and overcomes said problem with a kiss. He doesn't dig any deeper and compare the effervescencent qualities of each member to his own inadequacies. He lies shallow in himself. Sunggyu is in oblivion.

The facts are the facts. Problems need to be surpassed.

 And he needs Infinite to succeed.
