prologue

Do you still remember the first day we met? I never told anybody this but it was the best day of my life. Not because my father took me to the swimming pool in the morning. Not because my mother made me the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Not because of my favorite cartoon’s a hundredth episode special. It was my best day because you came by my side, you supported my need, and you completed me. You were there; made my day even better... you made it the best.

We’ve had our worst days since that day, but with you... With you, my days were never dull. With you, I feel comfort. With you, everything went back to the first day we met.

Don’t ask me why again, I’m tired of it. We were best friend once, strangers as the years went by, and yet here we are... as close as we can be. You are as strong as our friendship. You are my armor from the first day we met. And like a rock being eroded by the waterfall, I opened up to you and you opened up to me. It's like faith. I would always be yours and you would always be mine. You would never be gone from my life. It’s not your fault, it was the universe’s blessing.

Looking at your eyes never ceased to amaze me. You said stop looking, but I don’t want to. In your eyes, there was everything I need to have. The warm embrace I’ll never get tired of.

Please stop asking me why, I just do. I don’t need to know why, you should accept it too. From the first day we met, I already chose you.
