twenty-two
and our paths will cross again
Their eyes met for a moment. Sehun was shocked, but Jongin just raised his brow. Maybe he didn’t recognize Sehun and thought he was another admirer, Sehun thought for a second before he decided to make a run of it. He turned around and hurried away, but slim fingers wrapped around his wrist, pulling him back, and he had to face the one he thought he would never meet again.
He smiled nervously, squirming a little under the intense gaze. When it came to Jongin, he thought he knew him inside out, but his expression now was undecipherable. Maybe it was because of his lightly blurry sight, the alcohol in his blood, the music thumping loudly and hurting his ears, the headache that was building up. For a second Sehun smiled, but it easily turned into a frown when he remembered the stupid letter he wrote. There was no way he could face Jongin as friend, even less as best friend. He pulled away and pushed the other, making him stumble backwards. Jongin had a surprised expression on his face, mixed with hurt, and Sehun took that moment to leave. He hurried to get through the wall of people in front of him. He squeezed through gaps, mumbling apologies, until he stepped outside, breathing in the cool air of Seoul city at night. But standing in front of the club wasn’t safe; he was still on the run.
