B.A.P's Jung Daehyun (1993)

PD: "Why did you sign up for this show?"

Daehyun: You're asking me why? Well...it sounded interesting I guess (nods). Plus...uh, it was a good excuse to take a break.

PD: "What did you come here thinking you would do?"

Daehyun: PD-nim! Don't ask me these kind of questions! I just...came...that's all. (PD gave him a knowing look and he explodes in a laugh) Okay, okay, I came for the seafood!

PD: "Do you have your eye on any female idols? Your ideal type?"

Daehyun: Female idols...female...not really...(PD gives him another look and says, "just say it!") ah PD-nim! I was just kidding! I've talked to her once at the Idol Athletic Championships...I think I told her to go in front of me at the snack line. But I really like her singing. I think we're really similar. Who is it? ( his head playfully) It's a secret! Besides, she probably isn't here anyways so there's no point in me telling you.
 

B.A.P's Kim Himchan (1990)



PD: "Why did you sign up for this show?"

Himchan: To keep an eye on Daehyun. (gives all the staff a look) That kid's more of a troublemaker than he lets on, you know! But really, I think handsome guys like me need to get around more.

PD: "Er...(speechless) so how do you plan to spend your time here on Jeju island?"

Himchan: Meet a couple hundred people, widen my social circle. It's really boring when you only have the SECRET noonas as female friends, you know? All I hear is "KIM HIM CHAN" all day! Wait a second, you'll edit this, right? Hyosung noona will kill me!

PD: "Which female idol is your ideal type?"

Himchan: (exaggerated sigh) Yah, how could you ask me that? Everyone is pretty. My type would be...a feminine y girl. What's a y group? SECRET noonas? SISTAR? 4minute? (a grin appears on his face) Hyuna! I like Hyuna!
 

EXO-K's Byun Baekhyun (1992)



PD: "Why did you sign up for this show?"

Baekhyun: (shrugs) You know, the others are out on activities and I got bored. Even Kris hyung holed himself up in the recording room to avoid me. Is this airing? Sorry hyung.

PD: "What do you think will happen to you when this show is over?"

Baekhyun: New friends, a full stomach, a sense of variety. Stuff like that. Most importantly how long are the cameras gonna be on? Do we get to bring our stylists?

PD: "We just briefed you not even 10 minutes ago..."

Baekhyun: I was just testing you! Well you can't stop me from bringing my stylist...right...(the staff and PD stare him down)? Okay fine, I'll just bring my makeup bag.

PD: "Do you have a female idol ideal type?"

Baekhyun: I like girls that aren't too skinny and have some charm. You gotta eat a little. Actually, I haven't really had time to look around you know? With 12 guys with me all the time all the girls flock to the others, Kai especially. Oh you're not cutting this part? You're the man, Kai!
 

EXO-M's Kim Jongdae/Chen (1992)



PD: "Why did you sign up for this show?"

Chen: I wanted to try it (nods). I can be a pretty romantic guy, don't you think? I'll show the fans and everyone my manly side.

PD: "Do you have an ideal type among female idols?"

Chen: Female idols...it has to be in this generation, right? I can't say Bada or Lee Hyori? Okay, then out of the girls in this generation that I like...uh...(thinks for a while).

PD: "Do you have a specific type?"

Chen: (nods shyly) I like feminine noonas. I like girls with pretty eyes too. As long as her eyes are bright and beautiful, she's my ideal type. If I had to pick an idol...A Pink.

PD: "But we interviewed them earlier and they didn't seem feminine at all whatsoever. I don't think they're your noonas either..."

Chen: (eyes widen) That means they're here? Are they on the show? PD-nim, jinjja?

PD: "Ah, no! We meant - we interviewed them to decide if they get confirmed or not! It's not official! You're the only confirmed member so far!"

Chen: Ah don't lie, I already saw all your faces. Well if they're here then...hm...there are exceptions. It's nice to get to know someone past their exterior, right? Age isn't a problem for me.
 

SISTAR's Yoon Bora (1990)



PD: "Why did you sign up for this show?"

Bora: To meet new people! I love meeting new people! (claps excitedly)

PD: "Do you think you'll make a lot of new friends?"

Bora: Yes! Well I hope so...I'm pretty easy to talk to but...(quiets) are there a lot of people my age? I'm pretty energetic but I'm shy around people that are older than me...

PD: "You're actually one of the oldest."

Bora: (laughs loudly) oh really? Then I'll have no problem! I just hope they're not scared of me then!

PD: "Who's your ideal type? A male idol specifically?"

Bora: (laughs as she stands and jumps around in protest) I knew you'd say idol! You aaaaaaall know it's Song Joong Ki but still?! (calms down to think) For male idols I'd say...Song Joong Ki-ssi! Song Joong Ki-ssi saranghaeyo!
 

SISTAR's Kim Dasom (1993)



PD: "Why did you sign up for this show?"

Dasom: I like shows like this (giggles). It's fun, isn't it? Going to Jeju and just hanging out. Eunji's coming, right? I heard. Oh why do you look flustered PD-nim? We weren't supposed to tell?

PD: "Did you tell anyone else?"

Dasom: Nope! I just heard A Pink talking about it when we were backstage so I let it slip...oh but there were other people there...sorry?

PD: "It's fine...I guess. Is there a male idol that's your ideal type?"

Dasom: I like Kim Myungsoo-ssi (PD looks impressed since mostly everyone tried to avoid the question). We did a music video together. I like his eyes, he seems manly (laughs shyly). 
 

A Pink's Jung Eunji (1993)



PD: "Why did you sign up for this show?"

Eunji: To get some experience in variety and - (PD says, "You look like you've memorized a script") - ah, the heck with this! My CEO made me go. He said I was turning into a vampire in the recording studio. Am I really that pale?

PD: "So what are you really planning on achieving while being here?"

Eunji: Ah, Jeju's beaches of course! How could I go to Jeju without jet skiing?! You'll have that, right? (PD says, "we'll see...")

PD: "Do you have an ideal type? Any male idol in particular?"

Eunji: Male...idol...yah, isn't that too specific? Are you trying to set me up? (glances between the PDs and cameramen snickering) You wouldn't edit this to make it look like I'm dating someone, right? Right?! (the PDs give in and promise) Ideal type...I was gonna say Ji Sung sunbaenim, but...

PD: "We don't have much time, Eunji-ssi."

Eunji: I forgot the name, but that one main vocalist. Yeah, he has a nice voice. But he's not from Busan is he? Not that I'm picky or anything! If he can't put up with satoori he's no good.
 

A Pink's Yoon Bomi (1993)

PD: "Why did you sign up for this show?"

Bomi: About that...(laughs) my manager said I looked too bored while others had schedules and school so he put me in.

PD: "Did Eunji tell you she was confirmed for this show too?"

Bomi: Yeah! How'd that happen, PD-nim? Anyways, at least I'll know someone. Eunji knows a lot of people - actually, a lot of people know her - because of her drama. But I hope I'll make friends here too (nods).

PD: "Do you have a male idol ideal type?"

Bomi: A male idol...I don't meet a lot of idols but...INFINITE? I met them before. They were our neighbors so yeah...I know them. (PD asks for her ideal type from among them.) Ah, I have to pick?? Um...ah, I don't know! All of them!
 

*a/n: hi everyone! so I'm starting a variety show fic! i've always wanted to write a "show" fic and since so many people have written about Romantic & Idol, i wanted do a mix of like family outing + running man + romantic & idol! i'm not planning on making this plot-heavy but more like somewhat of a fun fic to read before bedtime.
