"Let's break up." Her voice repeated in his head as he gulped down another cup of soju. He knew he couldn't take anymore, but he just wanted to get all his frustration out. Letting out a raspy sigh, he decided that it was about time to stop. If he drank anymore, he wouldn't even be sober enough to go home.

He shut the door of his apartment and slid down with closed eyes. Why couldn't he have realized sooner? The pain he felt was almost unbearable, but he knew she had it worst. Having to tolerate him for two whole years, must've been tough on her. He opened his eyes and scanned around the apartment aimlessly. Every part of the apartment just reminded him of you - your distinct scent that you left behind. The tears that he had been trying to cover up, suddenly rushed to his eyes. He then roughly wiped it off his face.

Not being able to take any of this any longer, he stood up and walked to the bathroom. Without even removing his clothes, he got into the shower and turned the tap on. The water was cold, but he could careless right now. He leaned against the wall - he finally let the tears that he had been holding in out. He shut his eyes once again, trying to control his tears. But somehow they just refuse to stop - he just broke down.

He let out a bitter and raspy laughter. Looking back at how he treated her, he felt so dumb. Having a girl like her by his side, how could he have neglected her? If not for his pride and ignorance towards her feelings, she would've still been by his side. Feeling the frustration and bitterness rush up to him once again, he ruffled his hair violently and slammed his fist against the cold wall. He hated this feeling, being suffocated and tight in his chest. He wanted to let it all out, but just couldn't find a way to.

He then leaned his head back against the wall, he felt so useless, so pathetic. He looked up in the mirror, he looked terrible - shirt drenched, hair all wet and messed up and red, sore eyes; as expected. How good can he even look after going through a horrible break up? She didn't let him have a say in this break up. After saying the three words, "Let's break up." she hanged up, not even letting him say anything. She left him, just like that.

Still feeling the pain and tight feeling on his chest, he brought his fist up to his chest and started hitting it. After he was done with the small tantrum, he leaned back and shut his eyes, letting the tears fall down once again. Still he felt so useless, not being able to keep her by his side. He should've been more sensitive and caring towards her, but what’s the point now anyways? He knew that he was already out of her heart after the two years she had been tolerating him.

As selfish as it sounds, he still hoped that she hadn't got over him. Seeing her with another guy would really tear him apart. But would still loving him be better for her? Even if he doesn't want to, he has to let her go. He can't just keep holding her back.

He walked out with a towel in his hands, drying his hair and body. Looking around the apartment once again, he felt this struck of emptiness and loneliness hit him. He lay on the bed, trying to sleep. Tossing and turning, he was unable to sleep. Lying on the bed he once used to cuddle with her, it really wasn't helping with the situation right now. He then tightly shut his eyes, trying to sleep again. And again, he failed.

Just today, he would cry about the break up. Just today, he would cry himself to sleep. Just today, he would feel down about this.
