“Lin,” David called from the window of the hotel room, where he was restlessly staring out at the bright full moon. There was no answer, so he turned and walked to the bathroom and tried again.

“Lin, if you don’t hurry, the restaurant will be closed,” he called. As if on cue, she came out of the bathroom, fixing her hair as she walked. “Why must tonight? I’m tired,” she pouted. “Really,” David affirmed. “You already napped the afternoon away, Lin.” Lin gave him an exasperated look. “Alright, alright,” she sighed. “Let’s go.”   All the way into the restaurant, it was quite. Lin remained seated on the front seat of the  rented car as long as she could before sliding out after David. “Hey, David,” she shouted, closing the door as she came outside. “Is that the restaurant?”   “That’s it,” David replied, walking along the sidewalk to meet Lin. “Come on, babe.”    Dinner seemed to last forever.
