Sleep for the Noceur

“I’m going to blame you. A person cannot crumble that easily by his own means; that takes time and ignorance. That person never knows where it started, where it grew and when it’ll come to choke them to their death. But when you are to blame then it’s clear. It really is, it clearly was your fault, and I’m going to blame you entirely for it. If all goes wrong, it’ll be in your mind for as long as you watch me be held by chains, and do not say it hurts to watch me either. It does not hurt you at all. It hurts your compulsion for grandeur: your pride. One day you’ll come to your senses and feel pity, but when you do I’ll be too exhausted to acknowledge it, because you caused it. You allowed it. You should have known, you should have taken proper measures, and now I’m paying the price for it. This is your fault.

All your fault.

I’m going to blame it all on you.”

A letter to myself.
