Kim Minseok was everything to you.

He was your voice when you were too shy to speak.

He was your shoulder to cry on.

He was your lullaby when he sang to you.

You would always tell him everything, from school, to family, to what the weather was like. Most of all, you would tell him about your experiences with these things in intricate detail, because you experienced them all...

Through a pair of eyes that could not see.

You were everything to Kim Minseok.

You taught him to have a broad imagination, and to see the world in great detail.

You taught him compassion and patience.

You taught him to never take a single thing for granted.

All of which were taught unconsciously by the fact that Minseok had to learn these things in order to understand the person you were, as well as your situation...

You were blind.

Without Kim Minseok, you had no friends. You were afraid to get close to anyone because they would judge you for your lack of eyesight, or you would become too dependent on them...

Or worse: both.

However, you met Minseok, not by choice and more so by force, and by that force Minseok stayed.

You never knew or understood why.

Minseok did.

He was a victim of judgment, and knew that the world is nothing but a pair of eyes, his environment feeding off of first impressions and surnames.

So when he met you, and realized that you could not see, he concluded that he was safe when he was with you. He certainly felt safe. His insecurity was appeased.

But when an emergency comes into play, and an opportunity arises regarding the restoration of your eyes, Minseok becomes insecure.

He worries that you, too, would judge him for everything that he was, is, and will be.

Will you still want Minseok in your life? 

Or will you move on? To supposed bigger places and better faces?
