A Not-So-Perfect Fairy Tale

Once upon a time.... in a land far, far, away....
Okay, so it wasn't so far away. It was in California. And it wasn't a long time ago either. But you get what I mean, right? And before you start making stupid assumptions, no, this isn't one of those everything-is-perfectly-fine fairy tales.
This is real life. About a girl with a story... A terrible past. Her name? Her name is Parker. Parker is headed to college. But maybe... Just maybe.... Maybe she can find love. But what if she's not willing to let down her guard for this sweet angel?
Foreword
I write in the first person, and it'll be from Parker's POV. (E.g. I walked through the gates of Stanford, ready to learn something new...) I am a stickler when it comes to detail and grammar, plus I am writing a ton of other stuff, so my updates may be a little late.
Characters:
Parker Kane: A shy, quiet girl who wants no attention to herself. She's had a rough time in the past, and she has built up her walls. However, she meets a dashing stranger, who turns out to be a famous singer from a famous band. Will she let her guard down?
Zayn Malik: The "dashing stranger" Kylie meets, he is also one of the members of One Direction. He's visiting California for a tour, and he meets quiet, beautiful, mysterious Parker, and is immedietely intrigued.
Most likely I will add more characters, but I'm too lazy to type it all up now.
