Taemin is soon to wed the Lycan leader, Siwon. No thanks to Kyungsoo, Alpha-female of the wolf tribe. It’s not that he’s ungrateful for what happened, if it hadn’t, he would never have been able to connect with Siwon the way he did. But he still had his reservations. Did Siwon really love him, or was he second best?

It was true, he and Kyungsoo were now friends, but with his wedding closely approaching, he needed to know if this is what he truly wanted.

He sought out the help of the fortune teller who lived within the woods between the territories. She gave him the Black Pearl, besides Kyungsoo’s necklace, was the only amulet that allowed crossing between the territory and the human world. It would allow him to stay in his human form as long as he wore it.

He ventures out into the world beyond the woods, to find the answers to his burning questions, and to his destiny.

Kyungsoo learns of what has happened to Taemin through his close friend, Onew. They go to Kris, who gives them each a spell. In five days, it will wear off. If they aren’t back by then, they will be stuck in the human world forever. He and Onew bid farewell, and go off in search of Taemin.
