Author's pov :   

                               It was past midnight and you are awaken by the loud slamming of door, indicating that Kris your husband of 4 and a half years is back and he isn't in a good mood. Siting up, you got down from the bed and went down the stairs to look for him.   Heading towards the living room where he usually is, you saw him living flat on the couch with an arm covering his eyes. Immdiately softening at the sight of his tired figure, you crouch down beside the couch and stare at him with pity eyes.

his cheeks lovingly, you open your mouth to say something but was cut off by him. "If you're just gonna say something annoying, then I would rather prefer you not." he dryly stated without opening his eyes. Your eyes widen at his hurtful words but decided to remain calm as you knew that he was stressed out from all the work and decided to let it slide, again. 

Him snapping and accusing you for something you never did wasn't the first time. You were the one getting hurt everytime but you didn't defend yourself and just let him to take out his anger on you. This had started ever since he was promoted.   First it was coming home late, then he started to neglect his family, you and your 3 year old son, Hyun Woo. Last but not least, was to bang his anger on you but after all of this  you still didn't complain and even told yourself that he was just stressed out and nothing else. But you were slowly getting tired and your patience was running thin, anymore mistakes and it could snap.  

"Have you eaten? I've keep some food from dinner for you." you speak gently but upon sering no reply from him, a sigh escape your lips.  

"If you're constantly skipping meals it'll-" "Shutup for once will you?!" he burst out, glaring at you. Scoffing, you glare back at him. You were through with his accusation which had never happened. All you did was to care for him, love him but if he doesn't want it then it's fine. You didn't want to be the only one to get hurt. You have feelings and all you feel are pain and more pains. That was the last straw, the last chance but he had to ruin it.   "So now you're talking to me." you smirked tearfully at him. "Don't you dare show me that hateful attitude of yours, I have no time to argue with you." he snap at you. Gaping at him, the feelings that you have bottled up has finally burst.  

"Don't push the blame to me, you're the one that started the fight and all the accusation first! All I ever did was to care for you!" you growled, tears trailing down from your tear duct. Kris had no comeback for this as he knew fully well that his once happy marriage was slowly falling apart was all because of him. He remove his hand from his face and searched your eyes. It was once filled with pure happiness but recently was clouded with sadness. The sparkle in her eyes that he loved so much was also gone and there could only be one reason to it. Kris. He knows that all of this was his fault and wanted to apologize but that pride of his that he holds wouldn't allow him to. If he only knew what would happen next, he wouldn't have hold onto his pride anymore.

"Then that's your fault, I'd never ask you to care for me." "What?!" you wanted to clarify what he had just said. Swiftly standing up from the couch, he glare at you, slowly advancing towards you. Flinching under his gaze, you just watch his movements. He stop in tracks when he was just in front of you. Bending down to your height he repeated his sentence. "I'd never ask for your care, did I?" he smirk at you, straightening up and brushing shoulders pass you. You stood there stunned but more importantly hurt by his words.

So it's my fault for worrying about his health when he doesn't gives a about it? You didn't want him to fall sick as you knew that his job was important to him but of course if the person you love falls sick, you'll obiviously worry and hopes he get well soon. You only care for him cause you love him but if he doesn't want it and chooses his job over you then you're done. You didn't gree to marry him for a heartbreak, you didn't start a family with him to be neglected. If he hadn't forget, you were a human too and had your limits. Guess what, you had reached your limit and wasn't go let this matter slide any longer. You wanted to go back to before he got promoted. Back then even when he was busy, he still managed to make time for you and Hyun Woo. He never once took out his anger on you until now.
