Chapter 2- Phone Call

Unbecoming

*ONE WAY, OR ANOTHER, I'M GONNA GETCHA' GETCHA' GETCHA' ONE WAY, OR ANOTHER*

It's my phone. Ringing.

Should I answer it?

What time is it?!

2:57 a.m.

2:57!!!!!!!!!

I am sleepy.

Who the hell calls in the middle of the night?

*ONE WAY, OR ANOTHER, I'M GONNA....*

It stopped. Maybe it's just a prank call or something.

*ONE WAY, OR ANOTHER, I'M GONNA GETCHA' GETCHA' GETCHA' ONE WAY, OR ANOTHER*

Here it goes again. He or she called me, AGAIN.

//picked up the phone//

Me: Hello?

Caller: Hi Lesly. *man's voice*

Me: Who the f are you? This better be an urgent matter. You woke me up!

Caller: I know your mom.

Me: I know my mom, too. She's dead.

Caller: She. Is. Not.

//he hunged up on me//

Me: HELLO?! HELLO?! HEEEY!!!

--------------

Eventually, I drifted off to bed.

--------------

Today's October 14. Great, 1 month more!!!

My alarm clock woke me up. I have to go to school early.

When I checked my phone, I suddenly remembered the conversation that I had with the unknown caller.

Who might HE be?

WAIT, was the call even real? Or was it just a figment of my imaginative brain?

Right there and then, I hurriedly opened the call log of my phone.

Last caller? It was my boyfriend, Dave.

Does this mean that the call wasn't real?

I think so.

My phone said so.

-------------------------

*BEEP BEEP*

I looked outside through my mirror and saw Dave's car.

He picks me up every morning and drives the both of us to school which is 20 minutes away from my house.

Well, it will take you 30-45 minutes if you walk; tiring job, eh? So better use a car.

I have my own car but Dave insists on taking me to school.

Dave is rich too. Just like me, he has everything.

People in our school said we were meant to be together. Maybe we are.

------------------------

When we arrived school, I went to my first class, Math.

Dave and I separated when we reached the main hallway. His first class is History.

Oh well, the usual Tuesday routines... Attend class, eat, attend class again, eat lunch, then attend the last set of classes.

The only thing I look forward to every Tuesday is when me and Dave go out to eat steaks.

It's nice. I love steaks. He does too.

Dave and I have a lot of similarities.

Heh, sometimes I think that Dave is a living example, a proof that soulmates are real.
