He wonders if Ryeowook ever compares Kyuhyun with Hyungsik, if Ryeowook likes Hyungsik's voice better. It's an irrational dislike, really, but if he thinks about it, it's a logical reaction. He's a threat to Kyuhyun's position in Ryeowook's life, even taking the relationship beyond somewhere Kyuhyun couldn't, and he makes a lot of depressed entries in his cyworld, prompting fans to triple their gifts and well-wishes.

It's all he has, his voice, and nothing else.

"You're still a kid," Sungmin laughs at him while they hang out, Kyuhyun singing small pieces of ballads that Sungmin chooses to play on his guitar, and Kyuhyun makes a face at him.

"I'm a lot younger than you are," Kyuhyun mumbles, sorting through his music sheets, "jeeze, these lyrics are crap, hyung."

Sungmin hits him with the nearest book in hand. "You could have asked Ryeowook to write for you, you coward, you know he wouldn't deny you of anything."

Anything, Kyuhyun thinks, but his heart, but Kyuhyun stays quiet, pensive.

No one else needs to know that.
