"It's the next left," the passenger told her driver, pointing to the appropriate street. "The students will be gone for the day, so if you don't mind, you can drop me off in the staff parking lot. My friend will meet me there to walk home."

Obediently, the driver turned into the indicated street, easily avoiding the scattering of pedestrians leaving the school grounds. Most seemed to be the high school students that stayed an extra half hour for clubs or other activities, but there seemed to be a few teachers among the group, their bags weighted with homework to grade. The passenger waved to one or two of them as the car edged past them. The driver silently sighed to himself and thanked God the evening was almost over. The teacher beside him had been better company than many of his dates of late. She didn't squeal or giggle or try to touch him too much, but she had clearly seen him the same way the other women had: as an idol.

Choi Seunghyun - the famous T.O.P of BigBang -had been on so many dates in the past month that the women were beginning to blur together into a mass of big eyes, short skirts, and too many miles on his car. At least YG paid for the gas and maintenance until this promo thing was over, he thought. He was so tired of the schedule of practices, promos, and dates. It was so hard on the body and mind. Dates with their most popular idols were set at 1,000,000 won[1], and the sponsors would be taken to lunch or dinner and driven to and from the date. Seunghyun had spent ten of the past fourteen days on dates and was getting burned out. He barely wanted to drag himself to daily schedules because they brought him closer and closer to the night out with a fan who didn't see him as human, but as a kind of object to be worshiped.

He pulled into a parking place marked for a handicapped vehicle (figuring he was just going to drop her off and leave), and his date turned to him with color dusting her cheeks. "Thank you for the evening, T.O.P-sshi," she said, bowing in her seat. "It was very enjoyable."

He bowed a little to her as well, searching through the migraine fog in his mind for her name. "You were wonderful company, Park-sshi," he replied; Park Seong-Li, that was her name, he remembered painfully. It was the first time in a long time that he meant those words. "Thank you for your donation. It was very generous."

As he got out to open her door for her, he noticed a small figure walking out of the gathering shadows from the school building. When she stepped out of his car, Seong-Li waved to the little shadow and smiled.

"There you are," she said in English that was slow and deliberate. "Come here, Naomi. Come meet T.O.P."

The girl that appeared under the street light was maybe 160 cm[2] tall, tiny framed with large brown eyes and short brown-black hair. While she had an Asian face, she didn't look Korean to T.O.P. She smiled at him, a gesture which made his heart flutter. Cute, he thought, too cute.

"T.O.P-sshi," said Seong-Li in Korean, "this is my friend and roommate, Naomi Taylor. She has been teaching English here for two years."
