After that night, Seungho left.

Haylee needed to be alone to recollect her thoughts and wanted some space.

Neither of them knew about the status of their relationship, but Seungho didn't want to let it go just because of a small misunderstanding.

That's how he saw it.

A simple misunderstanding.

On his way back to the dorm, he was already making preparations to win Haylee's heart back again and he wanted it to happen as soon as possible.

Time was ticking and every second counted.

The next morning, Haylee heard a knock on her door.

Getting out of bed she reluctantly walked over and opened the door just to see Myung Hee standing with a worried look on her face. “Hey…”

“Hi.”

“Are you okay?”

“It depends, why?”

“Let's just say I heard you two fight yesterday -”

“From downstairs?!”

“No, I was walking back to my place when I heard you shouting at him. What happened?

“Come in…”

Haylee spent the morning talking to Myung Hee about everything.

From the dreams she had, to the unpleasant self-conscious appearance to the events of yesterday.

The only answer her friend had to give her was asking her why she didn't come to her when she needed someone.

“I know I should have… Sorry.”

“It's okay.”

“I don't even know what to do anymore.”

“Don't worry about it. If I know him like I do, he's probably trying to figure something out and he's not going to let go, not until he gets you back.”

“And what if he doesn't?”

“Then you go and get him back. You love him, don't let what happened ruined the rest of your summer or your relationship with him.”

Nodding to her response, Haylee's phone rang, showing a new text message from none other than Seungho.

After reading it, she looked back up to Myung Hee who was anticipating whatever was coming from that message.

“Can you help me?”

“Sure! What do you need help with?”

“An outfit.”

S[e]oul Central was closed.

The sun was gone, only to be replaced by the moon and its stars.

The coffee house was completely empty from any population except for one man waiting for his pretty girl. 

With the dim lights giving a romantic feel to the place, a black grand piano was moved in the center of the room where the man was sitting and waiting for his one and only to show up, ready to play a sweet melody.

Seungho was patiently waiting for Haylee to come down from her place.

He doesn't remember being more nervous than he is tonight.

He took the whole day just for tonight as he finished up with a self-composed lullaby that he wrote for Haylee.

He wanted tonight to be perfect.

For him, he didn't care if they go through it or not because all he wants to do is to make Haylee understand that she's the only one he wants, physically and emotionally.

The back door leading to the kitchen opened, revealing Haylee who was as nervous as he was.

He looked up with a huge grin on his face happy to see her standing in front of him.

He got up from his seat and walked towards her while she was standing at the same spot.

So many emotions were rushing through her body but once she laid eyes on Seungho, she could still feel a little itch in her heart from the guilt she's been feeling since last night.

With a simple kiss on the lips, he hugs her tight, taking in her sweet scent with her head placed on his chest while having a tight embrace around him. Without a word, he pulls away and leads her to the middle of the room where the piano was and makes her sit next to him.

“I've worked on this for a while and after last night, I took the whole day to finish it.”

“Seungho -”

“Please, let me play it. I want you to hear it.”

She nods and lets him prepare.

He starts hitting the first few notes, creating a smooth melody.

His fingers were gliding through the keys letting out a tune that was so endearing to the ears, she felt as if the music was embracing her, slowly trailing along her tan skin, leaving its warm path.

From the way he was playing, she could see that he put his all into it.

Words weren't enough to describe what she was feeling but she could see that she meant something to him and she was thankful.

Through this piece, she could feel herself get entangled within the notes, softly hitting her body as if she became the instrument Seungho was using. With closed eyes, she enjoyed the moment as much as she could.

Forgetting the hardship of the past two days, the emotion that was invading her heart was love.

As for Seungho, he poured his heart out playing, trying to reach perfection at its finest point.

He wanted to offer the best to Haylee and he hoped that this piece was a good start.

Still hitting the keys, he glanced at his girl and smiled clearly seeing that she was loving every second of his composition.

He hit the last notes and the melody soon came to an end.

Haylee turns her body to face Seungho, her hands searching for his. She places her chin on his shoulder and within a whisper, she thanked him.

“Thank you… Not just for this, but for sticking through my stupid episode from yesterday. I love you.”

She placed the sweetest kiss on his cheek, leaving him with his loving smile. He gets up, still holding onto her hand, and leads her upstairs.

Before going any further, she stops him, leaving him confused.

“What's wrong?”

“Nothing… It's just that… I want to feel comfortable before -”

“It's okay babe, I'll wait. No matter how long, I'll wait because I know it will be worth it in the end.”

“Sorry”

“Why are you apologizing?”

“Because of that…”

“Haylee, I'm sincere when I say to you that it's okay. I just want the best for you and if you want to wait, we'll wait. I don't want to disappoint you again, neither do I want to break your heart ever again. It's not worth losing you for this.”

In a quick movement, she nods her head feeling as if she was about to tear up.

She never thought that Seungho would be so considerate of her feelings, especially since it was part of the reason they fought yesterday.

He hugged her tight, leaving her breathless but soon places her arms around him, wanting to stay as close as possible for the time being.

“Does it mean that I have another chance?”

“Who said that you wore out of your last one?”

“I won't let you down this time, I promise.”

“I believe you.”

“How about we go back upstairs and end our night with some food. I'm kind of hungry.”

“Sure~”
