A single encounter can change one’s life forever.

It may be the slight brush of your knuckles against a stranger’s arm as you crossed the street during rush hour. It may be the time when you bumped against someone’s shoulder, and was in such a hurry that you forgot to apologize. It may be the time you accidentally tripped a schoolmate, but was to busy rummaging through your bag for your keys to notice what transpired. Or that time you were waiting in the bus stop, too focused on tying your shoelaces to notice the two vehicles that almost collided into each other because of a broken traffic light.

It could be those, or the million other encounters that you have experienced. 

However, it could also be an accident. That one accident wherein you lost a mother, a father, maybe a sister and/or a brother, maybe even a cherished bracelet or your pair of eyeglasses. That one accident wherein your sister’s voice lulled you to sleep, only to wake up to a sea of red and to your sister’s ice cold skin. That one accident that happened the day you were supposed to leave everything behind and start a new life. That one accident that happened the day you were supposed to end your own existence. That one accident you can’t even remember.

The change has started. Fate has set the wheels in motion. Destiny, not just yours, is unraveling and there’s nothing that can stop what’s going to happen.

Or is there?

A/N: This is the first time that I would be writing fanfiction after about a two year hiatus. Posting this, and even starting to write this, was extremely nerve-wracking and downright scary for me. I would like to apologize in advance for all the grammatical errors and other things that might not work out that well. However, I'm very excited for this. The idea has been in my mind for so long now, that I had no choice but to write it, or else I might go crazy. I hope that those who would accidentally stumble upon this story--prologue--would enjoy it and look forward to the rest of the story! :D
