Once upon a time, there was a little cute fluffy bunny hopping around the woods.

His life was happy and he never had a bad day. He had food, water, and other bunnies who love him.

He was grateful because no one ever discriminated him for the color of his fur; he was as white as cream while all the other bunnies in the woods were brown.

He was kind of special.

The white bunny was hopping around that day.

He was alone, yes, but he didn't feel lonely, he could hear the chirping of birds and the wind caressed his fur.

He was feeling good.

He hopped up on a fallen tree and then he fell down for the surprise.

There, hidden in the dark, there was a black ball of fur.

What surprised the cute bunny the mostwas the expressiveness of his eyes. That was the first time for him to see something like that.

Is it a bunny?, he asked himself, sniffing the air to catch the other animal's scent. Definitely a bunny.

He hopped closer to the other but he stopped as soon as the other retracted itself.

Shy bunny?, he thought.

Sniffing again, he did a little hop forward trying not to scare the dark bunny and soon the other animal was trapped with his back against the tree.

"I don't bite" the white bunny said.

"Who are you? Where are you from?" he asked again.

The other bunny keep staring at him, soundless.

"Are you hurt?" he tried again. This time, the scared bunny lowered his eyes and turned his head to look at his left hind leg.

Following the gaze, the white bunny saw a red wet spot staining the dark leg. Worried, he went closer to examine it.

"You are wounded" he said.

He sniffed the wound and it, cleaning it, before cuddle the other bunny.

"Don't worry, you are not alone anymore, I'll help you" he said. They stayed hidden for a while, the white bunny cuddling the darker, trying to make him stop trembling. As soon as the tremor stopped, white bunny turned his head to look at the other.

"What's your name?"

He wanted to ask him if he was really black as it seemed but he didn't want the other to feel uncomfortable. He just waited for an answer that never came.

Sighing, the white bunny again the wounded paw and said "My name is Min".

The sun was setting down and everything was getting darker by minutes.

Min, the white bunny, nudged the black newfound one to move a little. “We need to go away from here.”

It wasn't safe to stay in that part of the forest during the night. Other animals told Min how strange facts always happened in that section, and Min wasn't so brave to stay there and wait for something to happen.

The black bunny limped forward and Min followed suit, to help him out. "Are you lost?" he asked, hopping by his side.

The black ball grunted as a reply and kept half hopping, half limping.

"How am I supposed to help you if you don't talk to me?" he whined.

Black fur glanced at him and mumbled a "I'm not lost".

Min smiled and asked again for his name. "I don't have a name" the other replied shortly.

"You can't be nameless!" Min said, helping black fur to avoid a big rock.

"I can give you one if you want!" Black fur pouted but he didn't reply.

They were almost arrived at Min's den and he was feeling trapped.

I don't belong to this place, Black fur thought.

Noticing his new friend's worried eyes, Min half hopped on the other's back, hugging him. "Don't worry, this place is safe", he said.

Black eyed him before sighing.

"I'm not like you, I don't belong to this place" he said out loud. "You are fluffy and beautifully white and here I am, as black as the darkness. I can't stay here" he concluded, a little tear rolling down into the fur.

"If that's your only concern, don't worry. As I said, this place is safe and no one will harm you here!"

Black wasn't sure if trusting Min or not but the white bunny was smiling so sweetly that he couldn't reject him. So, he folllowed him further into the big hidden hole that he supposed be Min's house. The more they hopped and the more Black noticed that all the bunnies met so far were different shades of brown and no one looked as pure as Min. Soon enough, an army of brown bunnies was following them inside the hole, whispering about the new black bunny.

Min stopped and turned around to look at the army, smiling.

"This is my new friend" he said.

The army didn't stop staring.

"He is hurt and he needs a place to stay so from now on he will live with me!"

Black was speechless, Min was accepting him and he wanted him, a dark and ugly bunny, to live with him. Another lonely tear wet Black's cheek as he hopped closed to Min and cuddled him grateful. He never felt this happy before, someone was accepting him for who he was without telling him names and hurt him.

"Thanks" he whispered. A thousand of thanks followed the first one muffled between tears and fur.

"My name is Kyu" he murmured then.

Once they were alone in Min's den, the white bunny couldn't stop cuddling his new friend. He was happier than ever, he had found a new special friend.

Because, of course, Kyu was as special as himself.

The color of his fur, as black as darkness, was as pure as his white fur (and if dirty, it was still black!).

And those magical eyes.. Kyu was double-special. Even more special than himself.

Purer.

He needed to protect him.

He wanted to protect him.

Min cuddled if possible even closer as a melodious giggle escaped from his lips.

"Why are you giggling?" Kyu asked shyly.

Min couldn't help but smile wider. "Because I found you and now you are mine. My special and supercute new friend, and I'm the happiest bunny alive because now I'm not alone, not that I was alone before but no one ever understood my feelings, being the only white bunny in the entire forest makes you loner and.."

Min stopped abruptly as he heard Kyu giggling softly. "You are such a chatterbox, you know?"

Min blushed (can bunnies blush?) and hid his nose further into Kyu's fur.

"I'm sorry" he mumbled.

Kyu giggled again before changing position in favor to lay on his side. "I like this side of you" he said softly.

Min looked into Kyu's eyes, drowning into them, before stretching out his legs and accommodating his position to Kyu's.

"Kyu.." he said.

Kyu hummed, closing his eyes, and Min said "Tell me something about you. Anything."

"Tomorrow", the lazy bunny said. "I'm too tired to talk, Min."

Min pouted and looked away. "And I'm cold" Kyu added. Min smiled to himself and cuddled further against Kyu before falling asleep, happy.

It was few days later that Kyu finally hopped outside the den -his new home.

His wound healed pretty fast and it's time for him to start thanking Min for his kindness and hospitality so he thought that going out to find food for them was a good way to start.

He adventured outside while Min was still asleep; he wanted to surprise Min waking him up with food.

It was very early in the morning, no one was up yet and he could hear the sound of the wood slowly waking up.

He drank some water and cleaned his nose before hopping along the river.

It was regenerating being up before everyone else, that way he could think of what happened to him in the last few days.

Min.

Min happened to him and it was the most beautiful gift Mother Nature could ever did to him.

Min was sweet, kind and incredibly soft--err, gentle to him, he treated him in a way no one ever treated him before.

He made him feel special, every hour, every minute, every second they were together (always, then), and Kyu loved the feeling.

And he was white, oh so white! It fascinated him how white his fur could be when hit by the sunlight. It fascinated him so much that whenever he find himself staring at the cuteness of his new little friend, he couldn't help but pus
