It was a habit. One where the column of bones and nerves in my back would slowly lean forward, and I'd begin to slink lower in my stance. My parents gave up trying to
change it, not like they cared. But one person tried. One pair of hands would straighten me back up, until I stood tall again.
Foreword
I could feel myself slowly bend forwards, but I simply could not find the strength nor the will to straighten myself out with so many eyes looking at me.
I just couldn't.
Until one pair of hands that were soft and tender ran up the sides of my waist, molding my muscles back to its natural upright position.
It sent shivers through me---shivers that were oddly pleasant.
It was the first time.
