Foreword
"Fate's a funny thing," she chuckled.
He nodded in agreement.
"It brought you guys together—," he began.
"But it also tore us apart," she whispered bitterly as the vivid memories came flashing back into her mind.
He exhaled heavily as he laid down onto his back.
"I know, April. Life is hell, and sometimes it just gets so ing hard to breathe. But there are some things that can't be changed—no matter how damn hard we try. There's no use of fighting against something you can't win.
We don't control fate, April—we can't.
It's fate that controls us."
