Foreword

After school, it was raining heavily. Jieun forgot to bring her umbrella, so she still stood there, thinking what to do. She nodded to herself, decided to run through the rain. After running some steps, a hand held her wrist.

“Let’s go home together, I have my umbrella. We can share.” Luhan said.

He already had his umbrella on his right hand while another hand held her wrist.

“We go to different direction.” She pulled her wrist out of his grip. “And if we go to same direction, I’ll still go without your umbrella.” She said firmly.

“Why?” Luhan frowned. “You’ll get sick, you’ll be drenched by the rain.”

“It’s out of your concern if I get sick or not. Just go away.” She spatted and left.

Luhan’s eyes were now burning with disbelief, upset, worry, and sad. He ran after her and immediately grabbed her arms and turned her around to face him with his two hands, let his umbrella fell down and the two get drenched.

“It’s my concern okay?! I care about you!” he yelled, he couldn’t hold his feelings because of her new behavior lately. She had been cold to anyone, included Luhan.

Her eyes widened, surprised that Luhan, the most delicate guy she knew suddenly yelled at her.

“Why are you being like this?” tears are starting flow from his eyes.

“I hate seeing you like this. I hate seeing you everyday skipping lunch to study in the library then go to work after school, and I see your bag eyes in the morning. You’re not cheerful as always, you’re cold to anyone. You just talk when you have to. This is not you! I want old Jieun back!” he frustrated.

A drop of tears slowly flew out of Jieun’s eyes. She bit her lower lip, a bit trembling that means she really didn’t want to cry. He saw it then immediately buried her head in his chest and hugged her tightly. “Why? What happen? You know you can tell everything to me. I really care about you okay? You can tell me what’s bothering you. I’ll help you. I’ll be with you.” He said softly.

She didn’t say anything, she couldn’t hold her tears any longer and cried harder instead while clenched his shirt. Her composure broke down, and Luhan just stayed silent, he didn’t want to force her to tell him anything, at least for now. He caressed her hair softly in the most soothing way.

He didn’t know why she recently suddenly acted like that. It had been a week that she isolated herself. He didn’t know, and nobody knew. Or maybe… not.

Myungsoo stood near window of his class, watching them seriously with indescribable look. He never saw her crying like that since child, he never knew that she could be that fragile. He just knew that Jieun, her childhood friend was a cheerful and strong person. She even never cried like other girls did when she fell off when she was kid.

Everyone knew that she was just a gorgeous yet simple girl with amazing spirit, at least until he hurted her.

And what happened next made him froze.

Luhan kissed her.
