Forever
A Plethora of Drabbles
"If you could wish for anything in the world, what would you wish for?" Yoona asked.
We were out on the rooftop of our apartment. It was a cool night with barely any signs of stars thanks to the bright city lights before us. It was a nightly ritual for her to come up here - I'm not sure why, but something about this place eases her. It could be the reason that she was a “free” woman whenever she was on the rooftop; with no one to hold her down or have her suffocate in her work, being alone on the rooftop meant freedom for Yoona.
"World peace?" I said jokingly.
It was one of those nights where Yoona would lay on the hard floor melancholy, and stare at the dark sky. I sat next to her lying body with my knees pressed up against my chest. I look at her as she gazes at the starless sky. Yoona gives me a brief glance and a slight smile. She gestures for me to lie next to her, and I do.
"You know what I would wish for?" Yoona pauses. "I would wish to live for forever," Yoona's hands find mine, and our fingers intertwine. "With you..."
It was one of those nights where we cherished each others company; it was one of those nights where we're reminded of why we love each other.
I don't usually write such - for a lack of better words - "cheesy" stuff, so that's why it's so short.
