Prologue

It was a little past 4 in the afternoon, in the springtime, palms sweating, heart beating so fast and feeling dizzy knowing what I’m about to do. I was 19, young, vibrant, ambitious, hopeful, confused and I’m about to break the heart of the person I love and ultimately my own.      

I was still in my high school uniform and my backpack never felt so heavy as I took each step closer to where she was. Thinking on how to say what I’m going to say. Looking at the ground helplessly, my thoughts were soon interrupted when my phone vibrated.

I inhaled the springtime air, closed my eyes and slowly looked up at the sky. It was such a beautiful day, not too cold nor hot, birds chirping, scent of the blooming flowers filled my lungs. With a deep breathe I looked at the phone I was holding and read the incoming message

1 MSG:

Taengoo ~~~ where are you? I’m sleepy and I’m hungry!! Hurry <3

Sigh.
