Author’s POV

Zico was looking at her for a few seconds and with hesitation he waved back at the girl before him. She then remembered something ’’Wait a minute’’ she said holding her finger up and quickly dashed to get something. She came back with a video game in her hands, the way she gripped on to it said enough; she was excited.

 ‘’Can you see this? I finally got it and that’s not all, I got even more games in my room!’’ she was so thrilled and Zico saw what she was holding. ’’No way! That game came out last week!’’ he leaned over to get a better look at it and his eyes weren’t deceiving him. ‘’You can come over to my house to play with me if you want’’ she told him and he agreed.

Hana never knew but her parents were at their window listening to their conversation. ‘’They’re going to become good friends’’ Hana’s mum said and spun her wedding ring around her finger. ‘’Good friends’’ she said again.

 Since then Hana and Zico became best friends. They were completely inseparable.

They stayed at each other’s houses to play games. They waited for each other afterschool and then walked home together while eating ice cream on hot summer days. He protected Hana when she was once bullied by two boys at school; he beat both of the boys up all by himself and didn’t even get a scratch. He became very protective of her as days passed.

Then on Zico’s 10th birthday when she met up with him in his room, she handed him a box. ‘’Zico I wanted to give you this.’’ She said and  chewed on her nails thinking it may be a bad present. He opened it and he saw the two blue bracelets inside the box. She took one of them and placed it on her wrist then took the other one and placed on his wrist. ‘’This is for the best friend that I’ve ever had’’ she told him gladly and held her wrist up.

Zico smiled and gave Hana a hug.

‘’Thank you’’ he said. She smiled at the fact that Zico liked his present but what she didn’t know was that Zico started to like her more than a friend. She was completely oblivious to it but it was mostly because he didn’t show any signs of liking her. He kept it secret, he thought she would reject him and then lose the relationship that they already had so he kept quiet.

’’You ready?’’ he asked her. They were going to the amusement park with Taeil, B-Bomb, Jaehyo, U-Kwon, Kyung and P.O. She nodded.
