"Just take the test, MinJae." Your best friend Suzy said as she nudged you towards the bathroom in her room. You sighed and snatched the pink package from her hand walking into the bathroom and closing the door. You carefully opened the box and took out the two white sticks. Sitting on the toilet, you peed on both sticks and set them on the counter to do their purpose. It seemed like you waited an eternity before 5 minutes had finally passed and you picked up both sticks with your hands and held one in each with your eyes closed.

         'Okay MinJae, on the count of three open your eyes. One...two...three...'  You opened your eyes and couldn't believe what you were seeing. Both sticks had two pink lines on the reader. You knew for a FACT that a single line was negative, so you started to panic. You quickly pulled up your pants and walked out of the bathroom like a zombie, handing the two sticks to Suzy. She gasped at the double pink lines and quickly threw the sticks into the trash and hugged you. When you felt Suzy's arms wrap around you, you finally let it all out. You cried and cried and cried. Not only were you crying because of the pregnancy, but also because ChangBum and You and had just broken up because of him debuting after being a trainee for so long the month before.

          You were still so shocked that your year long relationship had ended just like that. After you had both made love to each other (for the first time) you had thought that it meant you would be together with him. But you were wrong. Not even a week later he broke it off with you and you were absolutely devastated. It was like the ground was swept out from under your feet and your whole world came crashing down. Thank God you had your best friend Suzy to help you through this, otherwise you don't know what you'd do.

          "Suzy-ah, what am I g-going to do? I-I can't tell my parents!" Suzy patted your back and made you stop crying by whispering soothing words in your ear.

          "MinJae-ah, you can stay with me, arrasso? We can do this together, I'll be like your honorary husband." You laughed at your best friend and hugged her tightly. You wouldn't trade her for the world.

          "My parents will want to know where I am though as I won't be going to college now. I'll have to t-tell them. But can you come with me? I-I don't want to face them alone." Suzy nodded and went downstairs to the kitchen really quick to get you a glass of water. She returned moments later and handed it to you.

          "First things first, were gonna need some parenting and pregnancy books." You laughed and nodded walking over to the mirror. You looked at your reflection and put your hand over your stomach. Pregnant huh?

         'Annyeong baby! This is your mommy. I just found out about you a couple minutes ago and I'm scared. Will you help mommy by being a good little baby and growing healthy? And always remember that no matter what your mommy will love you, arrasso?' You asked in your mind and gently rubbed circles on your tummy. There was no going back now, that much was for sure, but you knew you had to accept this. You had to buck up, come to terms with this surprise pregnancy, and grow up.

        "Suzy-ah, Gumawo." You softly whispered and half smiled at her. She smiled back and nodded her head. You both lyed down on her bed and stared up at the ceiling.

        "Do you think you can do it, MinJae-ah?" You stayed silent for a moment, thinking about it as your hand was resting on your stomach, and then nodded.

        "De. I want my child to have the very best. Even though this wasn't planned, I don't ever want my child to go through a hard life. And I have a great 'husband' to help me." Suzy giggled at your husband comment and you both fell back into a comfortable silence.

       You weren't sure what the future held in store for you, but as long as you had your best friend to help you, you felt you'd be okay. And as for ChangBum, you both decided that you would keep him a secret from your child as long as possible. Sure if she asked what he looked like you'd say, but you weren't going to say any names or anything like that. You felt it would be best for her to have a normal life (as normal as one can with a single parent family). 

     You gripped Suzy's hand tightly as you both stood in front of your house. She gave your hand a reassuring squeeze as you entered into your home. You had spent the night at Suzy's last night thinking up a life plan, and it was mutually decided to let your parents know first.

    Your parents were always strict. They were both the business type, lawyers, and they expected you to get into the top college in Seoul. And you did, but, you wouldn't be going now. You decided to get a job at a bakery (thank god you learned how to bake really well) and you could work there in the mornings and take care of MinJae in the evenings. You were just worried about how your parents would react. Would they kick you out? Disown you? Would they just accept it? Or would they absolutely deny your existance?

   "MinJae-ah, try and relax okay? Stress isn't good for the baby." You nodded and took some deep calming breaths. Last night you had read a pre-natal book that gave you all sorts of things to do to ensure a healthy pregnancy. It even said the things you could not have such as caffine, cigarettes, and alcohol. But you didn't drink or smoke so you really weren't worried about that. You had taken vitamins and were signed up with an OBGYN to get monthly checkups.

    There was just one thing left to do, and that was to tell your parents. You knew that you couldn't tell ChangBum about this child because he was just starting his idol career and if this scandal broke out it would shatter his dreams forever and you couldn't do that to him. After all you still loved him, and you didn't think you'd ever stop loving him.

   "Oh, MinJae-ah there you are." You mom called as she descended the stairs of your house. Your father was in the living room reading the paper with a cup of tea, and you suddenly felt your heart beat skyrocket.

   "Ahh Umma, Appa, I have something to tell you. Let's all sit in the living room." You followed Suzy into the livingroom and you both sat on one couch while your parents sat on the other. Taking a deep breath, you gathered your barings for the impending doom.

   "What's this about MinJae-ah?" Your father asked as he put the paper down and gave you his full attention. Both of your parents were dressed in their business suits and you suddenly felt so intimidated.

   "Well Mom, Dad, I decided that I am not going to go to college." Your parents froze in shock before your dad furrowed his eye brows.

   "What do you mean your not going to college? huh? Your Mom and I saved money to ENSURE you went." You scratched the back of your neck nervously and looked to your mom. She looked absolutely furious, and you were about to make it ten times worse.

   "I won't be attending Seoul National University because, um, I am pregnant." Your mother gasped and stood up, glaring at you.

   "Your lying right, MinJae. Please tell me your lying." You shrunk down under her gaze and stood up shaking your head. You were the shortest one in your family, so you mother was slightly taller than you.

   "No Mom, it's not a lie. I'm 1 month pregnant." Your father had remained quiet after the most recent revelation, observing. He was absolutely furious, who would take over the family business now?

   "Who is the father?" You mother asked and gave you a look filled with anger and disappointment. You sighed and mumbled out a response.

   "Ahh...Woo ChangBum is the father. But he doesn't know, and he'll never know." Your mother forwned and walked closer to you and suddenly gave you a slap across the cheek.

   "No daughter of mine will ever be unwed with a child. Get out. I don't ever want to see you again as long as that...thing...is inside you." You gasped as tears threatened to fall out of your eyes and protectively put a hand to your stomach. Your child was not a thing, your child was a human being. You looked to your Dad who just remained silent, not even defending you like he usually did against your mom.

   "But Mom...Dad..." You mother shook her head and pointed up the stairs.

   "Get your things and leave. You are no daughter of mine." You pretty much went numb after that, feeling Suzy drag you away up the stairs. You could hear your mother and father yelling downstairs and you just wanted to curl up in a ball and cry.

   "MinJae-ah, it will be okay. You'll always have me and the baby, okay?" You nodded and packed up everything in your room. You finally came down about two hours later with everything in hand and walked out the door. Your parents ignored you as you walked out. You said a goodbye and then shut the door, forever walking away from the life you once knew, and starting a life that you'd come to know.

The worst was over, for now anyway.

    "Suzy!! Suzy!! Oh My God, Oh My God MY WATER JUST BROKE!" You shouted in pain as another contraction hit you again. You were making dinner in the kitchen when you suddenly felt water run down your leg, and you looked down to see your water had broke. In less than a milisecond Suzy was in the kitchen telling you to breath in time and to remember the birthing classes.

    "Hold on MinJae we'll get you to the hospital." You nodded and hobbled your way to the car (her parents car because they were oversea's on business) with Suzy's help. She strapped you in the front seat and then sprinted inside to grab the baby bag before starting the car and rushing to the hospital.

   On the way to the hospital, you had two more contractions that hit you and you were screaming in pain begging for this baby to come out. When Suzy parked the car by the emergency room entrance, she helped you hobble inside.

   "She's in labor! Help!" Suzy called and a few on call nurses rushed to MinJae putting her in a wheel chair and wheeling her away to the maternity ward. Suzy followed you while holding onto your hand saying she was the one who would accompany you to the delivery room.

   The nurses told her to put on these scrubs and to scrub into the delivery room. She nodded and took the clothes while they got you on the hospital bed, starting your epidural (which hurt like a ) and then hooking up an IV drip to administer pain meds. Your OBGYN made her way into the hospital room and quickly started up the ultrasound machine, checking the status of the baby and measuring its heart rate.

   Suddenly, the monitor started to beep like crazy and your OBGYN shouted some order that you didn't hear because the pain was unimaginable. You got worried and asked if your baby would be okay. No one answered you and it made you start crying again.

  "MinJae-ah, were going to have to perform a Cesarean. The umbilical cord seems to be wrapped around the babies neck, and we can unwrap it and deliver the baby safely." You nodded and gripped Suzy's hand tighter as they wheeled you to the OR for an emergency C-section.

   You could feel pulling and tugging at your stomach area, though you were completely numb, and it was slightly uncomfortable. You closed your eyes and just listened to Suzy's comforting words as the C-section was taking place. And then finally, as if the storm had passed, a strong and healthy cry filled the operating room. You opened your eyes and smiled as tears of happiness rolled down your face. That was your child. That was your's and ChangBum's child. The only thing that was left of your love.

   "Congratulations, MinJae-shii, its a healthy baby girl." You looked over to Suzy who was holding the new born baby and she held her down to you so that you could see her with your own two eyes. She was all cleaned up and wrapped in a pink fuzzy blanket. You gazed at her lovingly and couldn't believe that you had created her, this little angel. Your baby had a full head of black hair like you, but you could instantly see that she had ChangBum's face. Infact, the only things that your baby inherited from you physically is your hair and ears.

   "Annyeong baby! I'm your Mommy. I love you very much. Welcome to the world." The baby let out a cry as the nurses came to take her away again to get her finger prints and foot prints.

  "What is your baby's name, MinJae-shii?" The nurse asked so that she could fill out the birth certificate.

 "Woo ChangMi is her name, her father is Woo ChangBum. I want her to have her fathers name." You had decided early on that you didn't want ChangMi to be completely cut off from her father, so you decided to give her her father's last name. And honestly, you would have done it anyway.

    "Arrasso. Woo ChangMi it is." You smiled and Suzy smiled and told you you did a good job. You finally felt the fatigue of birth catch up with you and you closed your eyes, falling into a blissful sleep with a smile on your face.

~~ Present Day~~

    "ChangMi-ah! Suzy-ah! It's dinner time!" You called from the kitchen as you layed out the food on the table. After the birth of ChangMi, you needed someway to find a job to earn money for your baby and you. You enrolled into Culinary school and within 9 months you had passed and were now a certified chef who worked at a small cafe that also sold cakes."

    "Dinner time! Dinner time!" You heard four year old ChangMi shout excitedly as the little pitter patter of her feet could be heard throughout the house. Your little pride and joy came bouncing into the kitchen in her cute white frilly baby shirt and a pair of pink jeans with cute little fuzzy pink socks. Her hair was tied into little pig tails and she clutched her stuffed giraffe Yuki.

   "Smells good MinJae-ah, what did you make today?" Suzy said as she entered the kitchen. About a year ago Suzy had graduated from college (she finished early) and was now getting ready to take over her parents company in Korea. You were very happy for your best friends success and you would always be in debt to her for all she had done for you when you first found out you would have your little ChangMi.

   "I made a whole western style dinner. I need to practice my western foods because we've been getting a lot of requests for that lately." She nodded at you and picked up ChangMi, setting her in her high chair.

   "And hows my little niecey today?" ChangMi smiled and clapped her hands excitedly.

   "I made a picture in school today Aunty!! See see!" She said and pointed her tiny baby arms towards the picture now hanging on the fridge. Suzy smiled and complemented your daughters artwork.

   "It’s a masterpiece ChangMi-ah, now how about some dinner?" ChangMi nodded and you walked over to her and set her tiny plate in front of her. You handed her a baby fork and watched as she happily ate it up. Every time you looked at your little girl, you couldn't help but be reminded so much of her father. From her looks to her mannerisms, it's exactly like ChangBum. You and Suzy always joke that he pretty much hi-jacked ChangMi's DNA and you couldn't help but slightly agree with it. She even liked dancing, too.

   You caught yourself watching your baby’s father on TV from time to time, and you just recently watched their MNet Coundown performance, they had really gotten good with their comeback. You also found it ironic that ChangMi's favorite person to watch on TV was actually her Father. Whenever you would have 100% on TV she'd always point out ChangBum and chant his name happily. She knew all the members names by heart. It was like she knew in some way that he was important, and it slightly freaked you out.

   You sighed and started to think about ChangBum again. Even though it’s been 3 years since you broke up, you still loved him very much no matter how much you wished you didn’t. It was like your heart was frozen in time, and it only beat for one boy. It frustrated you to no end because there was this man who wanted to court you but something was holding you back from being more than friends with him and that’s from your residual feelings which weren’t all that residual.

   ChangMi liked him too, and you knew that he liked ChangMi as well even though it was not his kid. ‘Mianhe, ChangMi-ah, but I don’t think that Sehun can be your Daddy.’ You clutched the necklace around your neck and thought about how happy you used to be with ChangBum. But you knew he wanted to be an Idol, and there was nothing you could do about it. No matter how much you wanted to tell him about his daughter. Having a scandal of this magnitude would sink his career in an instant.

   "ChangMi-ah, do you want to go out groccery shopping with mommy tonight?" You asked your daughter as you put away the dishes. You planned to  make a full traditional korean meal tomorrow but you were out of some vegetables that were required with the meal. And you also needed to get some other cooking spices and whatnot. ChangMi nodded and Suzy took her out of her high chair so that she could go play with her toys.

"Have you heard MinJae, Baek Percent is going to be on Hello, Baby!" At this information your ears perked up and you felt familiar butterflies in your stomach. That means that you'd get to see how ChangBum handles kids, and it would also give you insight to see how he would most likely act with his own.

"Really?" Suzy nodded and looked over to ChangMi, grinning in satisfaction.

"You should audition ChangMi, MinJae-ah. It would be the PERFECT set up and no one would ever find out. ChangBum would definitely get to meet his kid without a scandal and you could let ChangMi be with her father just this once. If you want, I can be the one to take her to the rehearsals and stuff because I won't be easily recognized." You looked at your friend like she had three heads. That was such a risky gamble to take, and you weren't so sure you wanted to risk it.

"No, Suzy-ah. I don't think its a good idea. If anything leaks it will be the end of all of us and Baek Percent." You reasoned. Your biggest fear was messing up ChangBum's career because no matter how bad your break up was, you still loved him and you didn't think you'd ever stop loving him. Did that make you pathetic?

"Oh come on MinJae!!!! Think of all the benefits. They won't ever find out unless we get recognized or you say that ChangMi is related to ChangBum." Suzy said as she tried to coax you into it. You were still hesitant and weren't to sure it was the best idea. Yet, somehow, the thought of seeing ChangMi and ChangBum together did seem appealing, but whose to say she would even be picked?

"Okay. We'll audition her, BUT if she doesn't get picked that's the end of it." Suzy smiled and nodded hugging you and jumping up and down in joy. You looked over to ChangMi and saw her happily playing with her doll house, and you could only hope the the future would be a smooth one.

AUTHOR POV

MinJae and Suzy awaited anxiously in the Hello, Baby! audition studio. Little ChangMi was happily prancing around the room with the other children playing with the toys. MinJae and Suzy gave each other knowing looks and both wondered the same thing. Was 100% here to in the studio? In past episodes they had watched on a camera, so they couldn't help but wonder if the same would be true for this season.

"Woo ChangMi?" The PD assistant called from the now opened door. MinJae and Suzy's hearts spead up as they made their presence known and took little ChangMi into the audition room. When MinJae walked in, she saw three judges whom she recognized immediately. There was Minzy from 2NE1, Lee Joon from MBLAQ, and Jae Joong from JYJ (formerly DBSK).

MinJae and Suzy watched nervously as ChangMi stepped onto the little stage platform. Se had her hair styled in pig tails because those were her favorite. She smiled as the judges asked her to introduce herself.

(Audition talent)

"You're very cute ChangMi-ah!!" Lee Joon said and ChangMi giggled in response and did aegyo for the judges. MinJae was absolutely amazed with her daughter. She was so talented, at least that was one thing she could thank ChangBum for.

"You're very talented ChangMi-ah. So cute!!"

Boys Room

"Ahhh Hyung! Look!" Rockhyun said excitedly as he motioned for MinWoo to come closer to the TV screen. On screen from the viewing room was a little girl with cute pigtails on her head and really cute lenseless glasses that were way to big for her face.

The on screen ChangMi was just starting to do a drama imitation and when she had finished it the boys were all going nuts.

"Omg! That's soooooo cute! I think I'm in love." SangHoon said clapping his hands which earned him a smack on the head from ChangBum. Oddly enough he felt a strong sense to protect this little girl and to love her a lot. It was...weird. And he couldn't quite understand why.

"YAH! She's only 4!" ChangBum said and SangHoon laughed. "I can wait until she's old en-" WHACK. There goes that hand again.

"Enough of that, look it she's dancing to our song!" ChangBum turned his attention away from SangHoon and towards the TV and smiled. She was pretty amazing for a four year old.

"Whoa she's good!" JongHwan and ChanYong said watching little ChangMi childishly dance to Want U Back. Obviously it wasn't anywhere near perfect but she made it cute so it worked really well.

"I want to be her appa!" MinWoo said and laughed when the judges said she was so cute. They really hoped that she got picked.

MinJae couldn't believe it when she got the call back saying that ChangMi was casted for Hello, Baby! Season 8. It was just unbelieveable. Half of MinJae was very happy for her daughter because she would finally get to be with her father, even though she and he wouldn't know it. But the other half of MinJae was scared of the consequences that were sure to arise.

"Really? You want ChangMi to be on the show? Thank you!" MinJae replied and hung up the phone after the PD told her where and when to bring ChangMi for the first episodes filming.

"SUZY-AH!! ChangMi got the spot!" MinJae shouted to Suzy who was in the kitchen doing some business on her laptop for her work. Suzy sprinted into the living room with a smile on her face, knocking her papers all over the floor but at this point she couldn't care less.

"YES!! I knew our little ChangMi could do it. Where is that squirt by the way?" MinJae nodded her head up the stairs.

"She's taking a nap right now, she was tired out from our little excursion at the park earlier. We can tell her at dinner." Suzy nodded and then smiled.

"I cannot wait to see how she and Bummie get along. It's been so long since we've seen them, Jae, I can't help but kind of be excited." MinJae slightly smiled. "I can't say the same for me. God Suzy I still love him so much, I-I don't know if I can be near him without breaking down." Suzy chuckled and hugged her friend.

"You are the STRONGEST girl that I know. Raising ChangMi essentially on your own, finishing culinary school and becoming an AMAZING chef, and still finding ways to keep Bummie in ChangMi's life. You can handle it, and I'll be right there with you so if you feel yourself breaking just let me know and you can go, okay?" MinJae nodded.

"God Suzy I don't know what I'd EVER do without you." Suzy chuckled and pulled herself back from MinJae. "I'm awesome I know." MinJae playfully glared at Suzy in return. She could still do this.

At least she hoped she could.
