Lee Jaekyung stared at the circled date on her calendar. It was 28 of June, her boyfriend's birthday. She smiled happily and went to the kitchen. *I'm going to cook a birthday dinner for Daehyun oppa!* Putting on a flowery apron, she giggled to herself. *I just hoped that my cooking lessons had paid off*
Jaekyung went to the cabinet and pulled out two packets of ramyun. She tore open the packets and threw the ramyun into the boiling water. Hot water splashed out and she squealed in terror. Thankfully, Jaekyung was not scalded.
Looking at the list of ingredients from her phone, Jaekyung took out a container of chilli powder. Without even measuring the amount of chilli powder to put in, she guessed and poured half of the container into the water. Jaekyung stirred the soup cheerfully. *I must be really good at cooking!*
Next, Jaekyung cracked two eggs into the pot and threw in the haphazardly diced vegetables. Humming a happy tune, she waited for the eggs to be cooked. After around one minute, she turned off the stove. *I really hope Daehyun oppa likes the food!* Jaekyung carried two piping hot bowls of spicy ramyun and laid them on the dining table.
Jaekyung clapped her hands in glee before proceeding to take out the marble cheesecake that resembles Kekemato and placed it in the middle of the table. She stuck the candles into the cake and lighted the candles up.
Just then, the front door opened.
"Jagiya, I'm home!" Daehyun called. Jaekyung put down and lighter and came out to welcome him with her apron still on.
"Oppa! Happy birthday! Did you have a great day with your members? Come, I've cooked dinner for you!" Jaekyung exclaimed excitedly as she pulled Daehyun to the table.
*Cooked?! Jaekyung cooked for me?!* Daehyun gulped silently. To be honest, Lee Jaekyung wasn't that good at cooking. No, she was horrible at cooking. She can't cook to save her life at all. Mustering a weak smile, he sat down and stared at the bowl of ramyun in front of him. It looked appetising...but he just didn't dare to try it.
"Come on, oppa! Blow the candles and make a wish!" Jaekyung urged, smiling brightly.
Daehyun closed his eyes and made a wish. Taking in a deep breath, he blew the candles. Jaekyung clapped happily.
She cut a slice of cake and placed it in front of him.
"Eat the noodles first!" Jaekyung beamed. Daehyun tentatively took a bite of the noodles. Coughing and spluttering, Daehyun immediately grabbed a cup and pour himself water. He gulped down the whole cup of bottle in one shot and breathed out.
"Spicy! That's the most spicy noodles that I had eaten!" Daehyun choked and smiled weakly at Jaekyung. Tears threatened to fall out of Daehyun's eyes and he kept fanning himself to get rid of the spiciness.
Jaekyung frowned and her heart sank. *It must taste horrible!* She thought sadly. Picking up her chopsticks, she tried the noodles. Instantly, she spat out the noodles and her eyes watered. *It really taste horrible! I'm such a terrible cook!*
The tears that welled up in Jaekyung's eyes flowed down freely like a waterfall. She sniffed and tried hard to blink back the tears.
"Ah, the ramyun is so spicy! I'm such a horrible cook! Sorry Daehyun oppa for tuning your birthday dinner," fresh tears leaked out from Jaekyung's eyes again.
Daehyun panicked. He placed his hand over Jaekyung's and gently nudged her. "It's okay, Jae. It has already been a wonderful and amazing birthday for me to have you by my side. Thank you for celebrating my 21st birthday with me," Daehyun softly spoke as he leaned forward and brushed away the stray tears.
"Having you by my side is the greatest gift I can ask for. Now I think that my dream has really come true! Gomawo jagiya," Daehyun's brown orbs stared into Jaekyung's black ones. He leaned further forward and captured her lips. He nibbled her bottom lip and slipped his tongue into .
Finally they broke apart. Jaekyung blushes deep red and Daehyun chuckled, his husky voice resounded in the dining area.
"You should seriously take cooking lessons from me, the pro Daehyun!" Daehyun smirked and flicked Jaekyung's forehead.
Once again, the two love birds kissed again. The food was long left forgotten on the table as the duo continued their little make out session.
