Alex could finally see it. After what seemed like a millennia, she was finally there. She had found the companions’ guild. It was a mere 300 meters climb up the mountain, but even this seemed an impossible task. She impaled, face first, onto the frost –glazed grass. There was no choice but to submit to her body and just stay where she lay.

"Just for a moment," she thought.

 her chest started to sting with pain. Alex knew that she will succumb to the cold if she doesn’t get up. "So this is what father meant by overtly exhausting your body," she thought. Her cheeks moistened as she was reminded of her family. "I’m so sorry. I won’t make it… I’m sorry."
