Chapter 21

MEAT

Since the day Kevin gone missing and was found, he has been really quiet. That bothers Minho and makes him too worried.

Besides that…the image of Sulli in GD’s arms flashes on his mind every now and then and makes him agitated.

He is usually furious in the office and even Ralph doesn’t know what to do about him anymore.

“Sir…we already told GD’s manager that he will have a world tour. But GD refused to do it. He said he doesn’t want to go out of the country for the next 2 months.” Said Ralph

“Put a stronger push. Make sure he knows who’s boss here.” said Minho

He’s angry! He wants GD out of the picture, but  the guy is too strong willed!

“I’m taking half the day off.” Said Minho

That made Ralph relieved…

Minho picked Kevin up from school.

“Daddy Ajussi…Why did you pick me up? Why not Ajumma?” asked Kevin

“Umm..we’re going somewhere special.” Said Minho

“Somewhere special?” asked Kevin.

“Yeah…do you want to eat something delicious?” asked Minho

Kevin just nodded.

They went in a Chinese restaurant and sat on an available table.

Kevin’s eyes got really big when he saw who is walking towards their table to get their order.

“Mommy…Mommy!!!” Kevin ran towards Sulli crying.

Sulli felt like the world froze for a moment. Kevin?! What is he doing here? Sulli knelt beside Kevin and returned his hug.

“He’s been really depressed lately… I just think he needs to see you even just for a few moment.” Said Minho

Sulli hugged Kevin tight.

Minho’s chest is all mixed up. The sight of Kevin in Sulli’s arms again stings Minho’s eyes warming his heart. But his heart is also racing at the same time…at the sight of Sulli…of her being face to face with him…of him finally standing before her.

  “Mommy…I miss you Mommy…why did you leave us Mommy? Go home with us ok?” said Kevin

“Kevin…Mommy misses you too so much…” said Sulli her tears flowing. “I miss you so much. But…but Mommy needs to work…you understand right? I told you before that Mommy needs to work?”

“But Mommy…why don’t you go home anymore?” said Kevin

“Umm…because I am taking care of our old house…it got really dirty when we were gone. So I take care of it now.” Said Sulli

“Can I stay with you?” asked Kevin

“No Kevin…Mr. Minho will be very sad.” Said Sulli

Kevin looked at Minho

“But Daddy Ajussi can stay with us there.” Said Kevin “Right Daddy?”

Sulli doesn’t know what to say already.

Minho knelt beside Kevin.

“Can I stay? Even just for tonight?” Minho asked Sulli

“At my house?” asked Sulli

Minho nodded.

Sulli was allowed by her boss to get the afternoon off from work. Minho drove them to a nearby supermarket. She’s excited to let Kevin taste the new recipes she has discovered.

That’s right…she only needs to focus on Kevin…she should not think of the man who’s driving the car…she should not let her heart beat fast as if it’s a plane preparing for take-off…yes…she has to control her emotion…

But it’s all uncontrollable…her heart and mind has lives of their own…it’s not following what she wants to happen at all!

In the supermarket, Kevin is the happiest child ever. He’s so happy, laughing and excitedly getting the things that Mommy needs for cooking. Minho doesn’t know much about anything so he just followed Kevin and Sulli.

When they got to Sulli’s house, Kevin helped Sulli in washing the vegetables.

“Is there  anything I can help with?” asked Minho

“Umm…yeah…can you slice the meat into bite size please?” asked Sulli

“All right…Wow kevin, we'll have meat today!” said Minho

Minho looked around them..a small but warm house…the 3 of them preparing their dinner…Kevin is happy…is there anything that can be more perfect than this?

“I missed this, Sulli….I missed it when We’re together.” Said Minho

Sulli was surprised at what she heard.

“I wish you can just go back to my house. It…just felt different when you weren’t there…” said Minho

Sulli looked at Minho. He was speaking while slicing the meat.

“You did not do what I asked you to do?” asked Sulli

“Huh?” asked Minho

“I told you to fix your future family….” Said Sulli careful
