¨I can’t believe I’m doing this.¨ she murmured to herself.
She had decided this morning, that today was the day- the beginning of her journey- she would leave. She took grabbed her globe and made it spin, decided that where her finger landed would be the place she would go to. So, there she was, in the airport; waiting for her flight to… Seoul.
She was fidgeting with her phone when it started ringing, startling her. “Hello?” “Yo, G. where you at?” it was Nathan, one of her closest friends, her best friend for 17 years. “Oh, Na-Nat, hi, I-I’m at…” He had to know sooner or later, she thought “G.?” “Umm Nat, please don’t get mad” she said slightly pouting even though he couldn’t see it. “Giselle Knight. Where. Are. You?” he’s angry now, she could easily tell “I… am...” she sighed “at the airport...” he didn’t anything “Nat? You still there?” “Yeah” he answered in a breath. “Nat, I’m sorry but I have to do this- I need to do this, it’s eating me alive, please understand…” she pleaded, she couldn’t leave without her best friends goodbye “fine, G. just… be careful and call me when you get to… where are you going? He said. Oh yeah… didn’t tell him where I’m flying to, she finally realized “Oh, about that… I’m going to Seoul” she heard him laugh nervously. Weird, she thought. But to her Nar was always weird so she thought nothing of “guess the money you spend on those Korean classes wasn’t a total loss” now it was her turn to laugh “you’re mean.” Yes, just like right now she was standing in the airport, out of pure impulse she decided on learning a new language; Korean was the winner. “For how long you going?” he’s question brought her back. “Oh, I’m… not sure” he sighed.
God it’s hard, it’s really hard to leave everything I know, everything I love, all because of a nagging feeling, she thought, feeling guilty for leaving her family for God knows how long “I promise that I’ll try to come back as soon as I can” “please do” she could hear the smile in his voice and that alone made her fell a little better. “I have to go now” “yeah, I’ll miss you, take care, ok?” he could easily make her laugh “yes, mother. I’ll miss you too. See ya” “see ya” with that they ended the call.
An hour later she was sitting in the airplane awaiting take off.
I’m doing this, I’m really doing this, she thought to herself. A surge of panic or maybe happiness ran through her, she couldn’t help but giggle a bit.
Almost 15 hours later the plane touched ground. Rolling her luggage she walk out of Seoul’s airport with a big smile on her face and a peaceful feeling in her heart; it’s here, what my heart’s looking for. The realization of it all hit her like a slap on the face. She is close to finding it, what she misses and going back home. Home. Is L.A even her home? It doesn’t feel like it, she loves her people but she never felt that want to be in that place was enough to keep her there but the want to be with her people was different, of course it was strong, strong enough to keep her there, they are her everything, that’s why it took her 3 years to leave, but the feeling she discovered the moment the city’s air filled her lungs was like no other.
She hailed a taxi and felt happy when the driver started a conversation; it felt nice how fluent the words came out of . “Your Korean is really good, I never would have thought that” the driver- Kim Seung Ho was his name- said with a very shy smile. She could only chuckle at his comment “kansahamnida, Seung Ho-ssi” she said with a bow of her head. “We are here, Giselle-ssi” Seung Ho got out of the car and helped her with her things- she decided to stay in a hotel for a few days until she could find a nice apartment to rent.
“Thank you again, Seung Ho-ssi, it was really nice meeting you” she said bowing, he bowed too “you’re welcome, Giselle-ssi, I’ll leave you my card so you can call me if you need a guide” she was happy; she had made a new friend in her first day there. She smiled and thanked him again.
She entered the hotel and was stunning; the design of the lobby was beautiful, breath taking. She went to the desk to check in. the people there are so nice, she thought. After checking in she decided that sight-seeing would wait until tomorrow. Waiting for the elevator to come, a young couple past next to her and it was the most cute scene she had ever seen, the relationships there were so different from where she came from, here they look so pure, innocent, so shy and back home it was in another level, she thought while a small smile was tugging on her lips.
The ding of the elevator surprised her, the doors opened and she was greeted by a strar strucking sight, a very handsome guy was standing in front of her, two maybe three years younger than her. At the sight of him she felt a tug in her heart, a heavy feeling pressing her chest, making it hard to breath. He looked at her and he seemed shocked and the color drained from his face but then he just bowed and walked away quickly.
Having regained her functions after that moment, she walked in to the elevator and pressed the button to her floor

He couldn’t believe it, it was her, right? He asked himself. Yes, of course it was her! Of course, those eyes he couldn’t forget, even if he wanted to. Should I call Seung Hyun hyung? He thought. No, he shouldn’t, Seung Hyun hyung made it really clear that he didn’t even want to hear her name. but it’s HER! His heart screamed. Yes, she broke Seung Hyun hyungs heart but- he stopped thinking about that, now something else came to his mind, she knows him, they were close, she was like a sister to him- and his hyungs, except of course Seung Hyun- but she didn’t seem to remember him, he knew that it’s been a little more than three years since she left but still, their time together, her time with Seung Hyun, no one could erase that, unless… “omo! It’s true” he said voicing out his thoughts, people started staring- as if he cared- he was used to the attention- so that means that she really did forgot them, he ended his conclusions. It was not a lie what he heard, she has amnesia.
~Flashback~
Seungri stood up from the waiting to get a cup of coffee, their waiting was over, Seung Hyun and Giselle were okay now, but Giselle still haven’t woken up and he wanted to be wide awake for when she open her pretty brown eyes.
he was standing next to the coffee machine when he heard Nathan talking with the doctor in the room near where Seungri was standing so he overheard their conversation. “doctor, are you sure about this?” Nathan asked and the doctor sighed and said “yes, it’s 90% possible that when she wakes up she won’t remember what happened. We won’t be sure how severe the amnesia will be until she wakes up”
~End of Flashback~
he needs to call Seung Hyun, he searched for his phone but couldn’t find it and in that moment he mentally facepalmed because he left it in his room. “damn it” wait, he thought, the receptionist! He could call him from there. He ran to the desk and bowed quickly “excuse me, miss, can I use your phone?” she was startled and flushed when she noticed who it was. He smirked when she nodded and handed him the phone. He dialed Seung Hyun’s number.
“Yoboseyo?” he asked in a hurry. “who- Seungri-ah? what do you want?” I’m trying to help and he greets me like this, was what his mind said. He heard noise, a girl whinning and a quick kiss then a giggle.
she’s there again, he could recognize Mi Young’s whinny voice, how he hated it, he preferred Giselle’s angelic voice, specially when she sings. “Hyung, she’s here, she’s back!” he said in a hurry “who are you talki-…” Seung Hyun trailed off not finishing his sentence and Seungri heard him stop walking.
did they meet? Did he bump into her? What’s happening?! Seungri wanted to scream. “Hyu-“ Seung Hyun cut him off.
“Giselle-ah?” and the call ended.¨I can’t believe I’m doing this.¨ she murmured to herself.
